Great
We stayed at Novotel Amsterdam City in standard twin rooms for a family holiday (6 of us), and overall it was a great experience. Mr. Oman at the reception was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome during check-in. He also helped make sure all our requests were met; connecting rooms, 2 single beds, same floor, and next to each other. Really appreciated that! The only downside was one male receptionist (Middle Eastern-looking) who didn’t seem very welcoming. He was quite passive and seemed unwilling when I asked for help with temporarily storing our luggage.
I had a superb stay here during my EU trip. I was initially torn between staying in the Amsterdam city center or north of the central station. Choosing this location was perfect—it's less crowded, easy to access, and still convenient! Everything else about the hotel was impeccable. Highly recommended.
I had an amazing stay with my partner in this hotel. :) Check-in was a breeze. All the front desk staff were so nice and lovely. One time, I ask if they have salt and pepper and they had unopened salt and pepper mills sent to the room. Room is big with plenty of amenities. Big closet storage with multiple hangers. Big mirror. Iron+ironboard. 2 hair dryers (1 in the closet drawer and 1 in bathroom). Big safe for valuables. Mini bar and coffee machine. Free bottle of water on each bedside. Bed is huge. Advertised as king sized but it is actually a super king! I had the best sleep every night as the bed was so comfortable. Had 4 huge pillows too. Big window too! The bathroom had a big bathtub, big mirror with good lighting. Will definitely stay here when we visit Amsterdam again. We also left our luggages for free when we checked out.
Location: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe. Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel. Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, ”Do you have data sim cards?” He said, ”No, we don't provide for that.” (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, ”Do you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.” He said, ”There's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.” (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.) Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me. One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems. All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.

Solo travel from malaysia. Location wise, little bit further . Need to take ferry(free). But it’s cheap Hence, no complaint from me. Take note, need to pay for towel & tax upon check in 1 towel= 6€
The best place I've ben staying so far from Amsterdam . modern design with historic charm, making it a standout choice for travelers looking for a stylish stay. The hotel features spacious rooms with comfortable beds and chic decor. Guests appreciate the lively atmosphere in the lobby, where they can enjoy great
The location was effortless, close to everything yet calm enough to breathe after long meetings. The canals, the rhythm of bicycles, the soft sound of the city in the morning, everything seemed to move in harmony. The room was clean, warm, and simple in a way that felt grounding. After days filled with conversations and deadlines, returning to that space felt like a quiet reset. The staff were genuinely kind, always ready to help with a smile that made every interaction feel human. There is a sense of quiet care that you can feel, and it stays with you. Thank you Ibis Amsterdam for being more than a hotel. You were a pause, a reminder that even in the middle of business and movement, there is always space for stillness and heart.
Love the Vibes Teleport Hotel. Especially the wonderful owners..being very helpful and friendly the moment we entered the hotel. I feel her aura surely uplifts my tiredness after an overnight travel. But i wish they have coin laundry Bar or service.free storage luggage and updated events during our stay isa Plus.
A Fantastic Stay at Hotel Libery Amsterdam My recent stay at Hotel Libery Amsterdam was truly delightful. The hotel is impeccably clean and clearly recently renovated, giving it a fresh, modern feel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for exploring the city—right in the heart of a vibrant tourist area. Nearly all major attractions were within walking distance, eliminating the need for taxis or buses. A nice touch was the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby, available 24/7 for guests. While the hotel does have an elevator, be aware there are 4-5 steps at the entrance and one small step to access the elevator itself. The rooms are compact but spotless and well-organized. A standout feature was the drinkable tap water provided throughout the hotel—no need to buy bottled water! Daily housekeeping kept everything tidy,
