Novotel Amsterdam City

The rooms had a strong and unpleasant smell. When we asked to change rooms because of it, one member of the front-desk staff appeared visibly annoyed. She gave us hostile looks and continued to treat us coldly for the rest of our stay. The hotel also seemed severely understaffed. If you request anything for your room, you are generally expected to go downstairs and collect it yourself, regardless of the time. One evening, we returned to find that housekeeping had forgotten to replace our towels. When I called reception, the staff member initially refused to bring clean towels to our room and insisted that I come downstairs to collect them. He eventually agreed after I explained that this was unacceptable, but his attitude throughout was extremely unpleasant. To be fair, the housekeeping staff themselves were generally friendly. Unfortunately, the smelly rooms, poor service and consistently rude attitude of some of the front-desk staff made the overall experience deeply disappointing.

Fasr service, nice and clean room. A little bit far from the city center but walking to the closest tram sta. took only 5 min

Very good- but due to the typhoon and I need to stay for another days - it is cheaper to book through trip.com than booking at the hotel

The gym facility is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. They offer early check in as i arrived earlier.
