Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam Hotels in Amsterdam

Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam

"We recently stayed 4 nights at the hotel and overall had a lovely experience. We had originally booked an Executive Premium King Room but were pleasantly upgraded to a Junior Suite upon check-in, which was a really nice touch. The hotel also made a thoughtful gesture for my partner’s birthday, with complimentary chocolates waiting in the room on arrival. The room itself had clearly been recently renovated and felt fresh and modern. The bedroom and living area were very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom felt quite small for a suite. I would have expected double basins and more bench space, as well as a bathtub, which I assumed would be standard for this room category. There were also a few minor practical issues — the shower hose was difficult to manoeuvre and tended to spin, and the towel racks positioned over the toilet felt a bit awkward. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, and the addition of Moët champagne for mimosas was a lovely touch. Service throughout our stay was great, and the hotel was consistently clean and well maintained. We also dined twice at the in-house café/restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious, though a slightly broader menu would have been appreciated. The location is fantastic — within easy walking distance to everything, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant stay with a few small areas for improvement."

"Good experience overall. I wish it was stated properly that the room has no Window - except one showing the interior lobby. Beside that - super clean hotel and 24/7 reception."

Ibis Amsterdam Centre ★★★
"First off, I have to say the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, especially for independent travelers. After arriving in Amsterdam via Eurostar, we walked just five minutes to get there – it's literally right by the station! On our last day, we had to catch a train, and due to some unforeseen issues, we ended up getting tickets last minute in the early hours. Because of the hotel's prime location, we were able to make it to the train on time! An unexpected incident on our first day was finding bed bugs on the bed... We reported it to the front desk, and the staff were very helpful. They immediately moved us to another room, and there were no further issues after that. I'd recommend everyone to check for bugs on the bed when you check in."

Hotel Not Hotel Amsterdam ★★★
"This fancy and fun hostel is an easy and accessible part of town. It's very cute and unique. The rooms are fine - they are small of course because it is a hostel. You will not get all of the amenities of a hotel, but the place is clean and the beds comfy. We were sad that there weren't more people hanging around in the common areas, but we made it lively and on the second night there were more folks around. The bar and restaurant are closed; but they will make you an amazing coffee in the morning (Melania is a genius!) and there is a snack bar with alcohol for purchase (including full bottles of wine if that's what you're looking for). The entire team is very nice - especially Tamara! They made us feel right at home and definitely made us want to come back and visit again! Lots to do in the area for sure, but also a quick and easy tram ride straight into Central Amsterdam. Overall, a very good experience for the price."
