ZZhaozaidadaoshangz16The location of the hotel is absolutely in the city center. The room is spacious and beautiful. It is a pleasure to sit on the balcony and watch the canal. The service is superb. The old doorman is a gentleman, and the receptionist is very polite. The bathroom is large, and the bedding in the room is superb, very comfortable. It gets dark at half past ten in the summer here, and the beautiful bells echo in the night sky. Special reminder: This hotel can check out at 4 pm.

HHypnoseWaldorf Astoria Amsterdam. The location is perfect, right by the Herengracht, in an old European house. It is 1.2-1.5 kilometers away from several major museums, and within 20 minutes' walk (the three-story canal and the cute little bridges every few steps and the chocolate-like little houses on the shore make the journey even shorter). The service is first-class, the breakfast is very good, the smoked salmon and ham are all made by themselves, and the taste is very good, but the room meals are hard to describe 😭; the room hygiene is also absolutely standard, there is no trace of uncleanliness on the floor, bathtub, shower room, countertop, or anywhere in the light white bathroom, and the cleaning staff are still so elusive (just like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); the bathroom is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, just placed there; basically, except for the price, there is nothing wrong with it ~ I will consider staying here again next time I come to Amsterdam.

GGuest UserUnder Amsterdam's twinkling canals, I stumbled into Hotel Okura, weary from cobblestone wanderings. The lobby gleamed like a golden age dream—marble floors, crystal chandeliers whispering opulence. Check-in was a breeze; the concierge, with a sly wink, upgraded me to a canal-view suite. Sinking into silk sheets, I gazed at houseboats bobbing below. Room service arrived: stroopwafels, bitterballen, and champagne fizzing like fireworks. Midnight stroll? Nah. Instead, a random jazz playlist from the spa radio lured me to the rooftop bar. Stars, Amstel lights, a stranger's flirtatious laugh. Pure magic. Woke refreshed, Amsterdam reborn. Unforgettable stay.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed 4 nights at the hotel and overall had a lovely experience. We had originally booked an Executive Premium King Room but were pleasantly upgraded to a Junior Suite upon check-in, which was a really nice touch. The hotel also made a thoughtful gesture for my partner’s birthday, with complimentary chocolates waiting in the room on arrival. The room itself had clearly been recently renovated and felt fresh and modern. The bedroom and living area were very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom felt quite small for a suite. I would have expected double basins and more bench space, as well as a bathtub, which I assumed would be standard for this room category. There were also a few minor practical issues — the shower hose was difficult to manoeuvre and tended to spin, and the towel racks positioned over the toilet felt a bit awkward. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, and the addition of Moët champagne for mimosas was a lovely touch. Service throughout our stay was great, and the hotel was consistently clean and well maintained. We also dined twice at the in-house café/restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious, though a slightly broader menu would have been appreciated. The location is fantastic — within easy walking distance to everything, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant stay with a few small areas for improvement.

Ppraty-pphad a great 11-day stay! The hotel was clean and well-maintained throughout my visit. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the Wi-Fi speed was consistently good, which was perfect for my longer stay. The location is ideal if you're looking for a quiet area slightly away from the hustle of the city. It's in a peaceful neighborhood but still very convenient—just a few meters from the Overamstel metro station, making it easy to get around. They also have great amenities, including a lovely swimming pool and an on-site restaurant that’s both convenient and enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would happily come back again.

MM16717****The hotel's cleanliness wasn't great; there was a thick layer of dust in many areas, which made it feel like housekeeping wasn't thorough enough. It's a shame and a bit of a waste because the hotel's decor and facilities are actually quite nice, and I heard it's an older, well-established hotel. Roomkeeping definitely needs improvement. When I checked out, I mentioned the cleanliness issues to a nice guy at the front desk. He apologized and even waived the parking fee, which was really good service, hats off to him. Breakfast was standard, had everything you'd expect.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient! It's about a 10-minute walk from Central Station and another 10 minutes to Dam Square in the city center. It's my top choice for business trips and leisure travel (this is actually my third time booking this hotel!). The breakfast is great too, and it offers excellent value for money.

GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to the concert hall. From the central station, take tram line 26 for one stop, then it's a 200-meter walk across the bridge to the ground floor on the other side. They gave me a river view room, and the scenery was absolutely stunning – truly a 'wow' moment when I opened the door. Breakfast was also very rich and varied. I booked early, so the price was quite reasonable. It was definitely the best hotel experience I had among all the places I stayed on this business trip.

GGuest UserGreat hotel, nice rooms! It's just a shame that none of the staff spoke Dutch when we were there, at least. And close to the city center, you walk out the door and you're practically on Dam Square.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel from the moment you walk in the doors rooms are well presented clean and a good size for Amsterdam, my only issue was the mattress toppers were beyond worn and all bubbley which made it feel like the bed was full of crumbs which made for a sleepless night, other then that the the staff were as friendly and warm as could be which just added to the hotels overall charm.
