This hotel is awesome. The loft house I chose to live in is full of high-tech sinks. There is a TV in the mirror. I can use the whole hotel. It is like a museum full of literary atmosphere. When a gentleman leads me to visit the hotel. And the history of the hotel was first explained by a bank and later became a conservatory. The hotel was renamed as the current hotel. The location is especially great. The National Museum Van Gogh Museum walks for 5 minutes. It has a great seafood walk 2 minutes back to the room and finds the bed to help sleep. The fragrance spray and the weather conditions of the next day will be especially intimate and will choose this hotel.

Booked a double bed, the bed is queen size, no problem to sleep with children. The most intimate thing is that when the child gets sick in the Netherlands, ask the hotel if there is a doctor. The hotel is still very powerful. It was almost 10 o'clock in the evening and the doctor was invited to the room for treatment. Prescription hotels can also help to get medicine. Although small expensive but good value for money. In addition, the children of the hotel were told that they are more sensitive to the air. They came over at night to handle the sheets and changed the sheets again. Breakfast is quite rich for European hotels. If you are traveling by car, the hotel also has a parking service, with a parking space of 90 euros a day, and will help us wash and clean the garbage in the car for free. We were greeted warmly at the front doorstep and treated to a welcome cocktail after checking in. The property is beautiful! Expertly curated with whimsical, decorative details throughout. Our room was spacious, and the bed + bedding were sublime. Staff was exceptionally kind, with extra special praise earned by Camilla and Wolf who went above and beyond for us! It was quite difficult to leave Hotel 717, although the send-off tin of cookies eased our sadness and heightened our hopes to return asap. Thank you, Hotel 717! We are grateful for you all!

We are staying at the Intercontinental hotels as our main hotel and have been most impressed. Our stay at the Amstel was so pleasant! The staff was absolutely amazing, every person we encounter was so helpful and kind. It is impossible to single out anyone as each team member was great. We ate at the hotel all of our meals except one and the food and service were perfect. We were so grateful that although the afternoon tea was full they were able to accommodate us in another beautiful location where our view was spectacular. We are in hotels 150 nights a year and our experience at the Amstel was one of the very best. The staff members were such nice quality people. They thanked us for allowing them to provide assistance to us. We were so humbled by the generosity of the hotel staff. While dining everyone pitches in and help one another and whatever we could want was provided immediately. Thank you very much with complete sincerity and gratitude. The management should be commended for encouraging such terrific service. We look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and staying at the Amstel.

Set right next to the best part of the city, Leidseplein which is very well connected to all the notable landmarks including walkable distance to both the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum as well as the famous Voldelpark. The hotel has very modern interiors and all the facilities to make ones stay comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious unlike the other European hotels. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. There are 100's of restaurants serving all types of food and all are within walking distance from the hotel. Getting to Dam Square which is the shopping hub and Amsterdam Central station is just a single tram ride. Overall, the hotel is very clean and comfortable and nothing can beat the convenient location of this hotel.

We decided to splurge on this 5 star hotel for a long anticipated family reunion. Unfortunately the experience was marred by a series of disappointments caused by utterly incompetent hotel staff. When I called ahead on the day of our arrival to request an early check-in the hotel rep. sternly informed me that I would have to pay a 120 Euro charge for the privilege! We are experienced travelers and never have we encountered such a demand. We took our chances regardless and decided to show up 2 hours early. Sure enough, our room was already ready and we were allowed to occupy it at no extra charge. Things really started to go south when a limousine that I had arranged for separate airport pickup of my daughter’s family through the concierge showed up at the airport unequipped with a baby car seat. I had expressly requested this when I booked the service. This was also specified in the booking confirmation sent by email to me by the concierge. The reaction I later got when I complained to the concierge was that I was not charged extra for the baby seat - as if this was the main issue! Furthermore, this was the first time that I was informed of such a charge, as no mention of this had been made in the email confirmation of the limo reservation which I originally received from the concierge. More importantly, what is more concerning is the utter indifference he showed for the safety of a guest’s infant grandchild. All that concerned him was the money angle to the failure. Things soon got worse. When we checked into our room we lifted the bed cover to discover several hairs and multiple red and yellow stains. Unbelievably, the chambermaid had neglected to change the bedsheets. This, in a 5 star hotel! After we called reception, staff was quickly sent to our room to change them. We never heard further from management about this. We later had dinner at Serre restaurant onsite and left the place hungry. The chef seems to focus on presentation and less on the reasonableness of the portions. My wife had a fish main course which was equivalent to 3 forkfuls. The minuscule dessert was pretty to look at but was grossly inadequate even for one person. The restaurant style is a throwback to the old Nouvelle Cuisine school. For the icing on the cake: a voucher for a round of drinks on the house at the rooftop bar that the guest services manager had kindly given me was bungled by the bar staff. When I arrived home I discovered a mysterious charge of 66 Euros by the Twenty-Third Floor Bar. The bar staff set new standards of incompetence in taking my voucher and charging me anyway.I had to call the hotel for credit but I am losing money anyway from the spread in exchange rates used by credit card companies. To be fair, the Superior View room was extremely spacious and comfortable with a magnificent view. The large pool and ample spa facilities were enjoyable and a significant convenience . Right next to the subway station, there are trams 4 and 14. We came out of the airport to take the train to the Central Station, and then changed to No. 4 to the hotel. The streets and roads in Amsterdam are not all asphalt roads, many of which are small bricks and have a lot of luggage. You have to choose the side of the subway station, otherwise you will walk too hard. Old hotel, very clean, very warm reception. No breakfast choice. If you are booking a car, please pay attention to the fact that taxis, etc. cannot reach the entrance of the hotel, or you must cross the square, or be on the side of the road behind you.

Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

Hotel location was good as it is in the central area to almost all activities that we went. But however, hotel room service did not help us to empty our toilet trash bin every single day despite that we gave tips everyday, so I'm not sure how clean exactly is their room service. Bring extra cash for hotel tax and deposits as we were only told on the 1st night of checking in when the recept call up to our room to ask us to go to the reception to pay for our hotel tax and deposit, where only the deposits will be refunded upon checking out if you did not consume their in-room beverages or destroy their hotel etc. Hotel location is very near to 2 super mart, and also the ******** coffee shop, cafe and restaurants, not very convenient for kids as every where smells of ********. Breakfast was super good spread, large varieties, we love it.

The hotel is quite close to the central train station. It is also close to the Chinatown, the Rembrandt museum, the restaurants, and other touristy places. The staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant on the first floor. There are also a small shelves with snacks and drinks behind the receptionist, so it’s quite convient to get some midnight snacks. The room has a nice size and it is very clean. The decoration is quite playful and modern similar to other Ibis hotel. The price is good for the location and the size of the room. However, the room is not very sound proof. It’s easy to hear the sound coming from other rooms and form the corridor. At this time, Holland does not require the mask anymore inside the hotel so it’s nice to feel back to how it was before the pandemic.

The decoration style of this INK hotel is more avant-garde, that is, the rooms are small, the location is superior, and it is very close to the central station. This hotel was highly recommended by a friend who lives in Amsterdam but we were very disappointed, the location is amazing, the breakfast great but the rooms really need to be updated. There was a horrible smell in our room, the maintenance staff totally agreed but could not resolve what was causing the smell. We had to go to the front desk and ask to be moved, they knew there was a problem but they waited for us to request a change. The beds are very uncomfortable. On the positive side the views are amazing from the premium rooms, the breakfast is good, the location is great.

Review Staff: Friendly, Helpful and Kind, staff were bilingual from what I could understand English and Dutch Location: Easy to get to via bus by the 397 from the Schiphol Airport to the Van Gogh Museum and walk 10-15 minutes or take the Tram 3 the rest of the way. Amenities: They offer multiple consoles to select from to put in your room if you're into that and have a mini cafe/bar in the lounge. Cleanliness: Bedding and towels were clean on arrival but there was a weird smudged substance on the wall that was not cleaned for some reason. Would I recommend: If you are into gaming it's a great location to stay and the price is not bad. There's a nice variety of consoles and games to select but with other peoples reviews and my experience I would not be able to verify how clean your room may be upon arrival.

We stayed in one of the basement rooms during our recent trip. The hotel made it clear when we booked that it wasn't a huge room, but we found it perfect for what we needed. The hotel is clean and well kept, and the lobby area is lovely. The location was great, there is a tram stop right outside, the heineken museum is only about a 10 minute walk away, and its about a 20 minute walk into the main area, with lots of nice little cafes and shops on the way. The staff were also really friendly, and kindly gave us a complimentary drink as it was my Husband's birthday during our stay - Much appreciated!

It's a small hotel with small rooms, which is something to be expected in Amsterdam in the lower price range. The bathroom sink was located outside the bathroom which was odd, and the bathroom door is a wobbly shower door. It didn't really bother me though. I was happy to find a reasonsbly priced room inside the city. The hotel is located in the city, in a calmer area, which is nice. 5 min walk and you're in the vibrant busy streets chock-full of restaurants, shops and people hanging around. 15 minutes walk and you're basically in the very center of the city. There's also a Lidl right outside the door in case you don't want to eat every meal at a restaurant. The bed is rather hard, which I find comfy, with great pillows, and the room features an old style tired hair dries, which I appreciate. Modern one would be better, but at least it's there. On the negative side, I'd say there was no fridge, so we couldn't store food, except dry food, which takes away some of the convenience with the close by lidl. There was a lack of clothes storage. Only a couple of hangers and some hooks. The light switches were sort of randomly mapped and the lights didn't have the most welcoming hue. Also if I'd visit the bathroom in the night and turn on the light it would also turn on the blinding cold hallway light waking up anybody sleeping. Lastly, I don't care for AC, but a fan would have been nice in the heat. At least there was a large window that I could use to ventilate and curtains that completely blocked all light hitting them. All in all, a decent stay on a hotel in a great area. Some rough edges, so if you don't like that maybe it's not for you. But if you're mainly gonna be out exploring the city I'd say it doesn't really matter. Right, one last thing. The hotel must be used to annoying tourists because here and there are signs thay forbid alcohol and smoking in the rooms. Aledgedly a 300€ fine is given to the person drinking in the room. It doesn't give the most welcome feeling. However the staff were nice.

Accommodation right across the street from Heineken. Location is good. The city museum and the Van Gogh museum are close, so it's easy to walk around. It's far from the train station, but you can get there in 10 minutes by subway. The accommodation is definitely old and has some old parts, but considering the price, it is satisfactory. I used a small single room, but the bedding was dirty, the bed lights were not on, and I could hear the hallway sound well, so I knocked on the next room and knew it was my room. However, the view outside the window was good, the bathroom was clean, and above all, the advantage of being able to use a room alone at the price of a shared dormitory accommodation. There is also a vending machine on the first floor, and you can use a microwave. Luggage storage before and after check-in. Although it is a closet, it is not a locked space, so you cannot leave valuables in it. And the biggest advantage is having a cat. It's a complete doggie, so if you pet it, it will lie flat on its back. I want to go see the cat again.
