Guest UserThis time I chose the Dusit Thani Princess Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia. Since I took a long-distance bus from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca, I arrived at the hotel after 3 PM. At the front desk, the staff upgraded me to a room on a higher floor and gave me a 50 MYR dining voucher. I immediately went to the Western restaurant on the first floor and filled my stomach with warm pasta and a vegetable salad, which was incredibly heartwarming. The room was quite spacious with a great view, overlooking the scenery of Malacca, with the Malacca River below. It's a five-minute drive to the Red Square (Dutch Square), the lively Jonker Street, and other main attractions like the A Famosa ruins. The breakfast offered a rich mix of Chinese and Western dishes. The staff member, Joey, even patiently helped me download a ride-hailing app, which was very thoughtful. This hotel left me with wonderful memories and is highly recommended!

TeerfudedukeThe hotel's location is excellent, about a 20-minute walk from major attractions like Jonker Street and the Red Square, or a short taxi ride for the minimum fare. The staff are very attentive and helpful, providing information about attractions and reminding guests to bring umbrellas. The rooms are clean, tidy, and offer great views. The pool and gym facilities are also well-maintained. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip to Malacca.

lizy0874Less than 200 RMB for two nights, and breakfast included? Can't really complain, can I? My two-night stay was great, except for the lack of TV and broken Wi-Fi. Breakfast was simple but sufficient; the freshly made omelet was pretty good. Two slices of toast with butter, a cup of coffee, and two pieces of fruit – I was satisfied. In the evenings, there were some great food stalls right outside: that Indian bread with three dips that I later found delicious and cheap in Kuala Lumpur. Across the street, there was a char kway teow stall with a queue for 7 MYR. Further down, past the traffic lights in a small alley, you could find seafood like prawns, clams, and snails. A bit further, I recommend the wanton mee run by a father and daughter; right next to it was oyster omelet. And at the end of this street, there was even curry chicken bread and coffee shops, haha.

TYANBYThis hotel, open for just over a year, is clean, spacious, and has a great location. There's plenty of parking available, and it's only about a 10-minute walk to Jonker Street in Malacca. It offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth a stay.

Fithrah HafisParking is located at the back, and the staff will pick you up by buggy. The reception team is incredibly soft-spoken and friendly, and they even serve a delightful welcome drink!
The moment you step out of the lift, you are greeted by the amazing scent of lemongrass. The smells absolutely divine, and I totally fell in love with it! The place is so quiet and peaceful that we had an incredibly sound sleep at night. If opportunity permits in the future, I would definitely love to return and stay a little longer.
Wishing Sojourn continued growth and success, and hopefully, a new branch in Johor soon! 💗🫶🏻

Anonymous UserHotel room is very clean and quiet. Surroundings within walking distance is a stretch of seafood restaurant along the seaside. Location is not that convenient for travellers without own transport. Car ride about 10-15 minutes to Jonker Walk and shopping mall .

i-TravelerFirst off, upon arrival, we had a bit of trouble finding the hotel's parking entrance. I recommend asking the hotel guard directly for the free parking area if you can't find it, and definitely avoid parking in the paid spaces outside.
Secondly, I suggest staying on a lower floor. Waiting for the elevators can be an issue, especially since it's a high-density building (hotel and residents), even if higher floors might offer better views.
Thirdly, there's usually a queue for breakfast. While it moves pretty fast, you'll still have to wait unless you go later to avoid peak hours. However, I genuinely think their food is good.
Fourthly, some of the hotel's rooftop restaurants were already closed. So, if you're specifically going for one of those Instagrammable spots, you'll need to confirm in advance if your desired restaurant is still open. The rooftop operating hours are 12 pm-10 pm.
Next up are the gym and swimming facilities. The outdoor pool was crowded (on a Saturday), but the indoor one was less so. The gym equipment is basic but decent.
There's also a tennis court.

mary goslowAbsolutely one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Melaka! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcomed with their warm hospitality and professionalism. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the facilities, especially the swimming pool, were well maintained. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. Excellent value for money and outstanding service. I will definitely return to Swan Garden Resort on my next trip to Melaka and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.
