Service: The staff is friendly and helpful. Cleanliness: it's consider OK to be honest, just a little stain on the table. The lobby looks grand! Others: The TV programme has to be improved. Some of the channels are dark / mute. Room is spacious, and even have a small living room at the entrance.

A true luxury small hotel. Very cozy. Room is clean. Love the tub. The welcome tea & sugee cake served in the room were nice. As for amenities, its average, could use a better quality of disposable toothbrush & provide slippers for going to the pool. Dining hall has good ambience, breakfast was good & service was personal. Dinner was above average. The pool was clean and dont feel too much clorine. The gym was a bit packed but ok to use when not many guests. There was an unpleasant smell at the dumb bells section, think its from the floor mat at that section. The little local biscuits & sweets at the lobby was a nice touch to let guest try the olden days snacks. The couple spa was fantastic👍🏻. The masseurs were pro.

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming when we were check in with a complimentary cookies, when we got into the room we realised that the fridge wasn't working, we let housekeeping and they immediately changed a new fridge for us. the room was nice and spacious the lights are working fine however the sofa a a little old ed stained.the body foam that they provide probably only can last a day and you are need to ask the housekeeping refill it if staying more then a day . the breakfast is great although we could get a clean table and had to ask the waiter to clean the table for us before we could go and get the food. overall we love the bed the soft pillow and it was a good stay .

There seems to be breakfast, right? But I don't know what to eat. I left Malacca early in the morning. The facilities are not as old as everyone commented, they are clean, and the beds are particularly wide and comfortable. Be sure to make an appointment to arrive, and I saw their boss. There are discounts when you book directly with the store, but I’m not used to doing this. It is more convenient and guaranteed to contact if there is a problem when booking a room through Ctrip. There are bicycles for free, but I don’t want to ride it anymore. Did not go to the Straits Mosque, too lazy to not want to ride a bike. The sun is also shining, and after watching the sunset, I am worried about the safety of cycling in the dark. I recommend everyone to stay in this one.

This hotel was ecatky what we were looking for. It was close to the attractions and amenities we sought to explore. It's on a quiet street away from the main street. Coffee shops, launderette, ATM and restaurants nearby. Our room, like the rest of the hotel was exceptionally clean. 24 hour front desk allowed us to check in shortly after midnight. Strong AC, finicky, wifi in the evenings, and plenty of hot water for showers with good water pressure. Free drinking water, iron and board available for guests and hairdryer. As a budget traveler and backpacker I can't complain. The staff were very polite and interactive. I don't recommend this place though for anyone with mobility issues as there is no elevator/lift and the stairs are fairly steep and tiring. Also as many backpackers if you're looking for a more social setting this wouldn't be ideal however if your looking for a quiet place to relax I highly recommend this hotel.

I lived in the room of hello kitty, good girl, the facilities are basically complete, the air conditioner is independent, the temperature can be adjusted independently, there are all kinds of coffee and biscuits in the hotel lobby, you can eat it casually, the store is a Chinese, Mandarin is very good, will Give hand-painted sketches, and tell us in great detail how to play, where is cheap and delicious, really like it. The landlord, steven, is so kind and very enthusiastic. He gave us free pick-up and drop-off. He also drove us to the sea mosque for free. He introduced us food check-in points and play guides along the way. The food introduced was really delicious, but it was a pity that we stayed. The time is too short to eat it all. Originally we ordered two superior rooms, but one of the air conditioners broke down. Steven helped us upgrade to a deluxe room for free, which is equivalent to living in the whole house! This is the best landlord we met on this trip. Next time I come, I will choose and introduce friends.

There was no pool nor gym but its location is not too bad. Its roughly 400m to the red house/makhota parade n 2 other malls. N a lot of convenient stalls n phalawan night mkt just beside. This is my fifth trip to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As usual, I decided to stay near Jonker Street, the Chinatown of Melaka. This time, I had chosen Quayside Hotel as I wanted to experience a stay near the river. Upon alighting at Melaka Sentral Bus Station, I took Panorama Bus No. 17 at its Domestic Bus Terminal. It costs RM2 per person. The journey took about 20mins and I alighted outside Stadhuys, which is a short 5mins walk to Quayside Hotel. I had booked a Premier Queen Room for a two nights stay and was accommodated in Room No. 204. The room has a balcony which offers a view of the Melaka River. During the morning, it is relaxing to sit at the balcony and enjoy the tranquilness of the river and its surroundings. By night, the riverside is good for crowd-watching. It can get lively and a little noisy as it is just a stone’s throw away from the Melaka River Cruise Jetty. The room measures 21 square metres and Is comfortable for two guests. On the other hand, the bathroom is a little small whereby there is no partition separating the shower area and the wash basin. Hence, the bathroom floor gets wet each time after a shower. Even after switching on the water heater switch, the shower is lukewarm. The hotel provides the basic room amenities such as dental kit, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap, hand soap, hair dryer, electric kettle, mini fridge, coffee, tea and drinking water. There is no electronic safe. I had no major issues with the Wi-Fi network during my stay here, though it is a little weak at the balcony area. TV entertainment is limited to selective cable channels such as CNBC, Cinemax & Boomerang (Cartoon network). The room has poor sound insulation. Kids running and the dragging of chair in the neighbouring room can cause some disturbance. So it depends entirely on who your neighbours are. However, I understand that this hotel is housed at the site of an old customs warehouse. As the hotel is of an industrial warehouse theme, the design and build of the rooms do not offer good soundproof walls. This hotel has been operating since 2013 and I believed there has been no major refurbishment. The room condition needs to be better maintained and I would recommend the management to consider renovating the property. Whilst the room is not perfect, the stay experience was elevated by the friendly Front Desk Staff. The Housekeeping Staff also cleaned the room well. My room comes with hotel breakfast service. It is located on the ground floor and starts from 8.30am to 10.30am. I am pleasantly surprised at its offerings which although simple, is rather delicious. The menu comprises of rice (Nasi lemak or fried rice), noodles or bee hoon, eggs, hotdogs, curry puffs, cakes and hot beverages like coffee and tea. Other than the breakfast area, there are no facilities in this hotel. The main advantage of staying at Quayside Hotel is its prime location.
