The Majestic Malacca Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of The World

Malacca City Center Melaka|0.96km from Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum
**Overall Rating: 9/10** My stay at The Majestic Malacca was delightful, earning a solid 9 out of 10 for its excellent service, well-appointed rooms, and overall experience. However, there's room for improvement, particularly in refining the conduct of the guest liaison officer. **Building: 8/10** Despite being relatively small, The Majestic Malacca impresses with a complete array of amenities. However, minor issues like the broken lock in the lobby men's restroom need attention. **Christmas Celebration Package: 8/10** The festive package offered fun activities with impressive prizes, although luck wasn't on my side. The dinner, albeit a bit disappointing, exuded a lively vibe, making the celebration enjoyable. **Breakfast: 9/10** The breakfast experience was exceptional! The Nasi Lemak was outstanding and a must-try. Although the menu is excellent, incorporating new dishes could enhance the overall variety. The à la carte dining provided a fine-dining experience, encouraging guests to dress well and indulge in the gastronomic delights offered. **Room: 8.5/10** The room was inviting with a fantastic view, scoring an 8.5 out of 10. While the amenities like an iron and ironing board were not readily available, they were promptly provided upon request. The bed's comfort level added to the overall positive experience. **Would I Revisit?** Absolutely! The Majestic Malacca stands as a beacon of a well-rounded hotel experience, especially with its delectable breakfast and convenient proximity to Malacca's main attractions. In conclusion, despite minor areas for improvement, The Majestic Malacca is a definite recommendation for those seeking a charming hotel with top-notch service and a delightful breakfast experience. Sincerely, Your happy guest <3

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

Jonker Melaka|0.11km from Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum
The whole mansion was like a mini museum itself (seems like it’s indeed the case with the boutique hotels across the town. The place was spotless clean. They let us check in earlier and even gave us an upgrade (which was very appreciated!) with a lovely four poster bed and spacious open plan bathroom but has 2 sliding divider doors (maybe some conservative people would find it a little shy to do their business-not like we’re complaining! We loved it!) Bathroom had a long table so you could put all your stuffs.. It could get a little noisy when people were passing by or kids running around since the wall were rather thin but it couldn’t be helped with the fact that the mansion were so old and it definitely didn’t stop us from enjoying the place to our heart content! staffs were all friendly and nice and location were perfect with a lot of restaurants and museums nearby and It’s only an alley away from jonker street which could be noisy and dirty with the weekend night market! Booking ahead is recommended especially if you’re traveling during the weekend since it get booked out very fast! A lot of good food nearby too. Try the restaurant few houses up the road (from courtyard turn left) name [peranakan mansion 僑生府) their peranakan food was to die for! We had the best cendol in Malacca there (we tried cendol in a lot of places!) and the restaurant next door [the baboon house] had good burgers and omelette. Super recommend the two places!

Stayed here for two nights. It has a great location close to Jonker Walk, but a little away from it so it's pretty quiet. The room itself is fine, on the functional side and comfortable enough. It was, on reflection, quite pricey for what it was, but did the job. On the plus side was a genuine King Bed, an effective AC unit and a mini fridge (sadly not as common in other Malaysian hotels as I'd hoped). The shower and bathroom were decent. Very steep stairs climbing up to the room, not easy to manhandle a heavy suitcase. Location is a 5 min walk from Casa Del Rio - if you're coming to/from Singapore, many coaches drop/collect from Casa Del Rio negating a need to go to Melaka Sentral. One thing to note about Melaka - finding places open for breakfast is quite difficult. This hotel didn't appear to have a breakfast option, and most cafes don't open till 10am. There are a couple open earlier, but they're not obvious.

Beautiful peranakan interior design. Great location right in the middle of Jonker street. Friendly staff and good service. Room is clean and beds are firm and comfy. Pillows are a bit soft though. Breakfast is normal fare but still nice.

cute budget hotel. Was here to celebrate my wife birthday. We love the ambiance and the hotel hospitality. The hotel was in Jonker road. Just walk around the road and can reach back to hotel when we tired. The only drawbacks is the parking is a lil bit far around 800m from hotel. The breakfast is basic, but we don't care as there are other food that we can enjoy. Overall experience we would love to visit the place again

No small table for twin bedroom and charging plug to high. You need to bring your own longer cable if you charge your phone. Blanket to thin. Staff friendly and accommodating. Need a little improvement.

This hotel was in a fantastic location in the heart of Melaka - so it was very convenient to come in and out of the hotel constantly in between shops and restaurants. The decor in the hotel is very nice and has lots of character with nice paintings etc. We stayed in the Kapital room on ground floor which was very large and bathroom was also large and bed was very comfortable. The free snacks and drinks was also a nice touch. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was OK, just need to get there earlier so that when they make the food it is warm. The staff were super friendly and helpful - and also organised transport to next destination at a very reasonable price - the staff were perfect. The cleanliness was excellent. The hotel rooms itself were very quiet - the only annoyance was people in the carpark at the back which was just outside our room late at night constantly letting off fireworks - ideally security should be able to get them to go away considering it is illegal to let off fireworks. The other issue in the room was the power kept disconnecting and connecting making a loud noise each time and meaning one needed to manually put the air conditioning back on each time which is OK during the day but not at night - this may have been a one off issue. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Melaka - we would probably stay in a different room though as there are many other options available. It is good value for money, fantastic location, fantastic staff, very comfortable and convenient.
