The Peninsula Manila

The most affordable Peninsula hotel, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Located in the bustling Makati district of Manila, it beautifully blends modern vibrancy with rich historical charm. My first visit to Manila had a unique and memorable feel thanks to it.

The overall ambiance is very upscale, and the hotel's design and atmosphere really give off a resort vibe. However, the service details were just average. The lobby also doubles as the afternoon tea area, and there were barely enough seats to briefly rest before checking in, making the whole area feel quite noisy. Upon arrival, no staff proactively offered to help with luggage. During check-in, my room wasn't ready, but the hotel didn't immediately explain why. Instead, they used vague statements to delay, telling me to wait for the room number to be notified via email. After I repeatedly pressed for an answer, I was finally told the room was still being cleaned, which was not a great experience. For breakfast service, the coconut juice I ordered took a long time to arrive and tasted mediocre. Overall, the facilities and environment are excellent, but there's room for improvement in service details and communication transparency.

Vintage and elegant, lively yet not noisy. The hotel is located in an upscale, secure community. The nearby Delta Park offers an excellent running experience. The lobby itself is a bustling Western restaurant.

The room was clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. Since I was on a business trip, I didn't get a chance to explore the public facilities much. I hope to have the opportunity to do so next time. The lobby was very nice and beautiful.

The most affordable Peninsula I've stayed at. On the day I checked in, there was a wedding or some event in the lobby, which made for a very poor experience. Checking in was a hassle, having to walk all around. The exterior is still quite grand, but the facilities inside are a bit outdated.

A charming old hotel that's still going strong! It offers a unique character compared to modern five-star hotels and is definitely worth a try. The location is excellent, catering to all kinds of travel and transportation needs.
