First time in Kunming, I ended up choosing the well-established Grand Park Hotel. The overall decor has a very Hong Kong feel to it. The room wasn't huge, and the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but it was very clean and the service was excellent. A special shout-out to Michael! The absolute best part was the breakfast – it was truly outstanding and definitely worth coming for on its own. It was clean and hygienic, with a wide variety of high-quality options. There weren't many traditional stir-fries, leaning more towards Western choices. The roasted chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. The homemade yogurt was also a highlight. The hotel's location is also excellent; you can see Green Lake Park from your room, and there are tons of tourist spots nearby. The little streets nearby are great for exploring. All in all, I highly recommend it; it's fantastic value for money!

After leaving a green hotel full of corridors and doors early in the morning, arriving at the Holiday Inn City Center was a truly pleasant experience. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and even upgraded me to a Grand Corner Room. Lying on the sofa by the large window and looking outside was so relaxing, it really brightened my mood. I ordered the breakfast small-pot rice noodles, and it was delivered quickly. The mini-bar also provided complimentary tamarind juice, which was perfect for cutting through the richness of the Erkuai (rice cakes). I also requested a knife to cut my mangosteen, and it was promptly delivered. The only minor regret was that the bathtub stopper was missing at the bottom; I came back too late that day to ask the staff to fix it. This is a small flaw, and the hotel is still excellent, but I do hope it can be fixed to make the stay even more perfect.

I was very satisfied with my stay at Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre. The front office managers, Jenny, Nova, and Angel, followed up on my room every day and asked about my needs, making me feel at home. The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent. I highly recommend it! Additionally, I compared the prices of souvenirs and tobacco/alcohol counters on the first floor of the lobby with outside stores, and they were similar. So if you're traveling and want to buy souvenirs, you can buy them with confidence.

The complimentary gift was good, and the mooncakes were delicious. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, but the blackout curtains worked well.

Before, the airport drop-off used to be to the parking lot downstairs, and it was inconvenient to carry luggage and walk a long distance. I didn't expect that this time the hotel's airport shuttle dropped us directly at the terminal entrance. Their humanized service is continuously improving. The hotel rooms are clean, hygienic, and comfortable, and the front desk even upgraded our room, which was super great! There are also delicious restaurants nearby!

The service was great; the front desk staff were enthusiastic and even helped with laundry and promptly mailed back an item I left in the room. My only minor complaint is that the lobby can get quite noisy during lunch and dinner service. I feel for the ladies working at the front desk who have to patiently assist guests and answer questions in such an environment – you all are doing a fantastic job!

1. This hotel by Dianchi Lake primarily boasts its scenic views and fresh air. However, encountering a room contaminated with cigarette smoke can be quite a jarring contrast. Of course, smoking is a personal choice and uncontrollable. But smokers are a small segment of hotel guests; most are families with elderly and children. As a hotel, something should be done to safeguard everyone's health. The country has introduced many new regulations on smoking, and I hope the hotel can respond and implement positive oversight. 2. Regarding the buffet environment. Firstly, I was very satisfied with the wide variety of dishes, many with unique characteristics, available at this price point. However, the ventilation in the dining area is a significant problem. The staff explained that windows and doors couldn't be opened due to insects, which is a bit disappointing. If the air conditioning isn't strong enough, then air circulation should compensate, but unfortunately, the stuffy environment with cooking fumes and heat created a very unpleasant experience. I first booked this hotel in Kunming when I went to Dali, and I chose it again when I returned from Dali. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the price is reasonable. It's a 20-minute walk to Wanda Plaza, or you can take an e-bike. I really liked their breakfast and the laundry room; it was clearly maintained by a dedicated person, very clean and tidy. I'm planning to book this hotel again next time I visit Kunming specifically for a trip. Plus, there's a great restaurant downstairs – a stir-fry place that's quite authentic, but I forgot its name.

Also very easy and quick (under 20 mins) to get a didi to Kunming station.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at 26 Life hotel thank to the staffs and its location. What we like most here: 1. Staff: Xiao Bai and Xiao Wan, the 2 receptionists are lovely guys. Xiao Bai pick us up outside of the buiding to help us with the luggage. He is also professional in handling his work. he seems a bit serious on his face but once you know him, he is a nice guy. Xiao Wan is a lovely young boy. We talked a lot, he made us yummy milk tea, bought for us ice crea, fruit tea....and gave us some sourvenir. They are the ones made my stay here. Thank you guys! Moreover the hotel staffs also helped to received a package for me before my check in. 2. Location: it locates on the 4th floor of a building. It has a good location, where we can access easily to the shopping mall, the food stores. There is a small food court on the ground floor of the same building. The 1st store after the stair case once you enter the building sells pretty good noodles. 3. The balcony: my room is 201, with a balcony overlooking the garden on the ground and an open space to the big building in front, which gave us a peaceful corner to sit and talk and enjoy the nice spring weather. 4. The costume: the hotel offers free Miao costume to wear and take photo inside the hotel. Xiao Wan, the receptionist also help to take soem nice photos for us. What should be improved: 1. The cleanliness: the room facilities were a bit old but the cleanliness is definitely something can be changed and improved: like the table in the balcony, which should have been clean the surface. 2. The amenities: the big bath towels are torn out at the 2 edges. They can be reused as footmat or rag to recycle. New bath towel should be seriously considered. 3. The TV: A slow internet connection is causing the TV to stutter and lag, making it impossible to watch.making it not enjoyable to watch.

Coming back after a long day of sightseeing and taking a hot shower just melts away all the fatigue. The room's cleanliness is top-notch; the bedding was spotless and odor-free, and even the nooks and crannies in the bathroom were thoroughly cleaned. The service was exceptional too! When you're traveling, a comfortable stay truly makes all the difference. I highly recommend this place!
