GGuest UserI had a lovely experience in this establishement! The staff were very very friendly and super helpful and went out of their way to assist us throughout our stay - despite not knowing English! We discussed w a translating app throughout our stay. The food was delicious (in the morning) and they were kind enough to let us takeaway some food on the day of our Disney trip. Great pick up and drop off service also to and from Disney. The room is tidy and spacious for 5 adults and they cleaned daily for us as we were staying for a longer trip. I recommend this hotel for families!

TTiffanyReceptionists are very helpful and polite. Room is very spacious and clean. Location a bit far from MRT (15-20mins walk) but overall is good location to stay. Nearby also have local breakfast and some cafe and restaurants.

AAnonymous UserReturning to Shanghai, a city I've visited before, I found myself choosing the Ritz-Carlton again after some deliberation, primarily because my child loves it here.
As always, it was incredibly comfortable, with professional attention to detail. We had a great night's sleep, and the location is superb, just a five-minute walk to the Oriental Pearl Tower.
Manager Ashin was incredibly nice; seeing me with my child alone, he upgraded us to a suite for free. The room was huge, with an unbeatable, full river view. Standing in the room, looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower, it felt like I could almost touch it. They also thoughtfully prepared a tent for my child and arranged a fruit platter and red wine for us. The Executive Lounge offers all-day dining, so we could eat, drink, and relax without even leaving the hotel.
It was a very enjoyable trip, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Shanghai.

We stayed here because it's near to Shanghai Disney with shuttle service. Too bad that it only offers 1 round heading there at 7.30 and back at around 21.00 so we didn't use it. (Register need to be done a day in advance). We took Didi to the park which costs us around 35 Yuan. And back at around 24 Yuan.
Anyway, they give the free baggage storage service.
Wide variety of breakfast line, but I don't personally like the taste.

开开水ksbooked a room at the Banyan tree for my parents who were visiting to celebrate their wedding anniversary and upon check in we were greeted by the most lovely staff who quickly helped my parents check in and upgraded us for free to a nicer room. It also had prepared Rose petals within the room and some desserts to celebrate their wedding anniversary which was very appreciated. The room was unbelievable and the view alone made the whole experience worth it. My parents absolutely loved their stay and couldn’t stop raving about the service of all the workers as well. we had some items that my family were unsure if we could bring onto flight, and the hotel staff even went out of their way to call the airline to confirm for us. hotel amenities also great, huge gym and pool with multiple spas, and gym having a reformer pilates machine too. we’ve been to many hotels within shanghai now and this is by far the best , with strong service, a modern room and incredible view. all the photos of the view in the review were taken from within the room, better than going out to the bund!

The bed was separate from the washroom/toilet, which was perfect for two people as it allowed one to rest while the other used the facilities without disturbance. The sink, toilet, shower, and bathtub were all independently arranged, and I was very pleased with this setup. Right outside the hotel, just past the traffic lights and a few steps away, was the Bund. Upon checking in, my Huazhu membership card was upgraded from Silver to Gold, and my room was also upgraded to a sea-view room where I could see a corner of the Bund. I stayed with my daughter this time, and the transportation was very convenient. We enjoyed a warm and wonderful weekend at this hotel.

**Facilities**: Overall, they're good, though it might be an older building on a lower floor, which led to a slight odor. That's the only drawback.
**Hygiene**: The bedding and linens were very clean, and the bathroom was also spotless (though the toilet was a bit [censored, implied dirty/stained]).
**Environment**: The decor is a minimalist style. The desk is quite good.
**Service**: Impeccable, highly recommend.

GGuest UserThe house is being renovated, so for the weekend, I decided to stay overnight as a local resident of Shanghai. During the two years of the pandemic, I also took my child to many iconic local hotels to experience them. After considering factors such as comfort, location, cost-effectiveness, dining, service, opening hours, and overall quality, I would highly recommend this hotel to friends planning a trip to Shanghai. The staff are very attentive and responsive to any needs. The location is excellent, situated in North Bund, Hongkou District, which is not too noisy and offers easy access to various amenities. For those visiting Shanghai, there is a stand-up comedy show nearby that is definitely worth checking out. The dining options are plentiful, and you can easily reach Siji Minfu within walking distance. The North Bund City Terrace and the Waibaidu Bridge are also within walking distance. Last night, I took a stroll around the area and stood at the North Bund City Terrace. Seeing Shanghai and Pudong's Oriental Pearl Tower from this vantage point was truly breathtaking.
