5-Star Hotels in Madrid

The location of the hotel is excellent and very convenient for exploring Madrid. Check-in was swift and efficient, with great service from Daniel, which set a positive tone upon arrival. Check-out was also smooth and well handled. The breakfast area and service were good but could use some improvement, both in organization and attentiveness. Concierge service was good. All front desk staff, bellboys, and door staff were excellent. Unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly impacted by the condition of the room/bathroom. Housekeeping services and room cleanliness were extremely poor, to the point that it ruined what could have otherwise been a pleasant stay. Cleanliness is a top priority for me and my family and one of the main reasons we choose 5-star hotels, and in this regard, the hotel fell far short of expectations. This was particularly disappointing given that we had communicated with the hotel prior to check-in, yet the issue was not addressed despite the repeated and daily requests! I will not go into details nor post pictures out of respect, and just I hope that the hotel will pay attention to this. While some departments clearly made an effort, the lack of basic room cleanliness overshadowed those positives and ultimately defined the experience.

This was my second stay here. The hotel has an excellent location, with a subway station right downstairs. Upon arrival, there were thoughtful snacks on the bed, and the toiletries were L'Occitane, with plenty of bottles provided. The best part, of course, was the large bar of soap, so I didn't have to ask the hotel for one. They also offer turn-down service. Additionally, the hotel thoughtfully provides charging adapters for Chinese guests, which is very convenient. For a hotel costing nearly 3000, it would be even better if the minibar were free. The breakfast was quite rich for a European hotel, though there were slightly fewer hot food options.

This is a smart hotel with good transport links to the centre, However it is located in a bland business area with few local shops. The nearest supermarket, for example, is poorly stocked with no wine over €8 and a poor variety of fresh fruit. When we arrived at 3:00 p.m. the room was not ready until 4:00 p.m. The room was very clean and quiet as we had requested .We had asked for a double bed but were given two single beds pushed together. This was later rectified after we complained. There was no information in the room on how we could access Wi-Fi or any of the hotel amenities. There were tea making facilities but only two small pods of milk. Not enough for tea when we arrived and tea in the morning so we had to phone down .The pool was advertised as open but it was not. One good thing, the hotel provided umbrellas which was very welcome.

The price is reasonable, but the room layout is a bit awkward; you see the spa right as you open the door. The air conditioner also blows directly onto the pillow, which is a bit concerning. On the plus side, the location is excellent, with easy access to the subway and buses! There's also a gym and a swimming pool!

The hotel is magnificent,but before the reconstruction in the rooms was quiet.Now the room is not led by a soundproof door (seen under the door from the corridor),when guests in the corridor talk or when baggage or service carts are rolled,they are heard in the room.This is The only significant shortcoming of the hotel.

Although the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, it's clean, tidy, and has a warm, festive Christmas atmosphere. The front desk and lobby staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. My room had a terrace, offering beautiful views of Madrid city during sunrise and sunset. The floor attendant was exceptional; if I missed the cleaning time, she'd thoughtfully leave her cart by my door so I could grab water and supplies myself. She really went above and beyond! It's also very convenient to explore the commercial district and large supermarkets nearby. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The central location cannot be beat. The hotel feels recently renovated or at least in very good condition. Staff friendly and check in was smooth.  There is a good sized, well equipped gym in the basement and a must visit rooftop bar to begin the evening. Despite being central the rooms are well sound insulated, no noticeable noise disruption. I recommend this Hotel and would gladly stay again. The bell staff did a great job on luggage storage and ordering a taxi, etc. 

The hotel is in a great location, just across from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, a three-minute walk from the Prado Museum, and a seven- to eight-minute walk from Puerta del Sol. There are multiple subway stations nearby, and Atocha is also within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. The family room we booked wasn't large, but it spanned two floors and had a terrace, perfect for a family with two children.

The rooms were absolutely enormous, truly living up to its name as a suite hotel. It's a bit of a distance from the city center, but there's a fantastic large supermarket nearby that has everything you could possibly need. Breakfast is €20 per person. Parking is complimentary, and you use your room key card for entry and exit.

This hotel's unique feature is that each floor is designed by a different artist, resulting in distinct and sometimes extreme styles. I deliberately booked two different rooms, staying 2 nights in each for a total of 4 nights, so I could experience them. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in at dawn was incredibly friendly and professional. She even encouraged me to visit the lobbies on different floors to experience their unique styles and noted my preferred floor for the room change. The issue arose the night before I was due to switch rooms. I spoke to the same front desk agent, asking if I could change rooms after 2 PM the next day, due to jet lag and needing time to pack my belongings. She generously agreed, stating it was fine since I was extending my stay rather than checking out, and my next booking was a suite. However, at exactly 10 AM on the day of the room change, someone repeatedly knocked on my door. Still asleep, I went to ask what was going on. It was a cleaner who apologized, saying they thought the room was already vacated. I explained I was changing rooms in the afternoon, and she left. Immediately after, I noticed the TV screen indicated 'no guest checked in,' and I couldn't watch any channels. The front desk called right away. It was a middle-aged woman who sounded very experienced, and she spoke with a stern tone: 'Your suite is ready, on the floor you requested. I'm sending someone with the key now; please move immediately. There's a guest waiting for your current room.' I told her I had confirmed with them last night that I would move in the afternoon, and I wasn't even out of bed yet. She immediately replied, 'No, that's not possible. We can't wait. I can send someone to help you pack and move.' Her attitude was awful. What's more, she didn't sound like a regular front desk agent; she seemed to be a manager. This kind of service is nowhere near five-star standard.
