Guest UserWe stayed at this guesthouse with our kids for our trip to Disneyland. It's about a 10-minute drive from the park, and the owner provides a complimentary shuttle service, dropping us off in the morning and picking us up in the evening. We hadn't booked our tickets in advance, but the owner even helped us connect with a concierge service to get them. All the rooms are themed, which was a big hit, and it offers great value for money. Plus, the kids loved being able to feed the rabbits!

Guest User#Room#: Very comfortable, perfect for families of three or four with kids. I was traveling with two children and one adult, and my feedback is that we all slept incredibly well and had a great rest. It was quiet and the soundproofing was excellent.
#Cleanliness#: Spotless. The housekeeper cleaned daily, changing sheets, duvet covers, and so on. They even installed bed rails for the kids, which was very thoughtful.
#Breakfast#: A great mix of Chinese and Western options. There were Western choices like pastries, bread, and coffee, alongside Chinese favorites such as steamed buns, 'wowotou' (corn bread), corn, plain congee, millet congee, noodles, vegetables, and eggs. The fruit selection was extensive, and there was juice, milk, and soy milk – a wide and complete variety.
#Dinner#: Noodles, wontons, etc. The kids loved it all. We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! We ate well, slept well, and felt relaxed and at ease 😄.
#Service#: The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, thoughtful, and very professional. I would definitely choose to stay at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund again.
I highly recommend Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund to anyone planning to visit with children~

Finding a hotel this time around took ages, and a lot of the reviews I saw weren't great, including other Huazhu hotels. Even though this place had decent reviews and a friend recommended it, I was still a bit nervous before checking in.
**Environment:** The hotel entrance felt a little cramped, but once inside, it instantly felt comfortable. The light, minimalist style is exactly what I like. The room layout was also very pleasant; the lighting and space were both great.
**Facilities:** The room had a coffee machine ☕ which was very convenient, and a fridge (with soft drinks inside). The lobby also had water brewed by the hotel itself.
**Hygiene:** Very clean! This was my biggest concern, and I gave it a thorough look-over as soon as I entered.
**Service:** I was genuinely impressed with the service this time. Staff members would actively approach and ask if I needed anything if we made eye contact, always with a smile. The cleaning lady even politely greeted me with a 'Good morning' as I left my room and asked, 'May I clean the room now?'
Just a minor point: the front desk staff said the room they arranged had a better view (facing the golf course), but all I saw was a messy rooftop 🤣. However, it was quiet, which was a plus and didn't affect my overall satisfaction.
**Food:** The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, covering Chinese and Western styles, coarse grains, fine noodles, and fruits. If you're not looking for steak for breakfast, it's perfectly adequate for a regular meal (didn't get a full photo, but there's also a coffee machine and toaster 🍞).

Shenzhendongdong
The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from Nanjing East Road Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to reach the Bund, pedestrian street, and various other attractions.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, all of good quality, allowing you to enjoy a satisfying meal before heading out for the day.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The family room we booked was on the smaller side, with limited space once our luggage was in. The balcony room's view was obstructed by other buildings, so we didn't get the expected Bund view, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel also has many international guests, so travelers who prefer a quieter environment might want to consider this beforehand.
Overall, this hotel is suitable for tourists primarily focused on sightseeing and returning to the hotel in the evenings to rest. For couples, I'd recommend opting for a standard room. For families, consider carefully before booking a family room. If you're hoping for a Bund view, I wouldn't advise choosing a balcony room.

It was spacious and bright, making for a very comfortable stay. Getting to Disneyland was also convenient, just a 15-minute taxi ride. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely stay here again.

Anonymous UserThe hotel's surroundings are very convenient. It's only a 10-minute walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. There's also a convenience store downstairs, making it easy to buy things. The front desk service is excellent, and the breakfast is abundant and varied, a Chinese-style buffet. The room attendant is very warm and friendly, and the room is clean, tidy, and bright with very comfortable bedding. An extremely satisfying stay!

Anonymous UserThis was my second stay here, primarily because I felt it offered a slightly better value for money compared to other hotels in the area. However, I still want to give an objective review of its pros and cons.
**Pros:**
1. **Excellent Location:** It's very close to the subway station and Raffles City North Bund. This time, I got a room directly facing Dongdaming Road, which was quite spacious, well-lit, and offered a great street view.
2. **Convenient Wi-Fi:** The Wi-Fi connection was easy, though I had to reconnect every time I entered the room. Forgetting to do so could be a bit of a hassle.
3. **USB Ports:** Despite other facilities being decades out of date, it did have USB ports.
**Cons:**
1. **Outdated Amenities:** The musty smell in the corridors is probably hard to change given the age of the building, but other things could be updated. They still use small bar soaps for handwashing and tiny bottles for toiletries. It feels wasteful if you don't take them, but they're a nuisance to carry if you do, not to mention environmentally unfriendly. Also, the shower caddy in the shower stall wasn't very stable.
2. **Confusing Shower Faucet:** The shower faucet was perplexing. You'd typically assume red and blue indicators mean hot and cold water, but here, blue was for water volume and red for temperature. I suggest adding clear labels.
3. **Misplaced Anti-Slip Mat:** For some reason, the anti-slip mat was hung on the towel rack above the bathtub, which looked terrible. Couldn't it be rolled up and placed by the tub or in the shower enclosure? It almost felt like they didn't want guests to hang towels there.
4. **Disappointing Service:** I had to call housekeeping because I couldn't figure out the hot and cold water. I waited for nearly half an hour, and no one came, so I had to give up as I needed to leave. When I called again later, someone came quickly. The next day, I pressed the ”Do Not Disturb” light as I didn't need cleaning, but I still received a call confirming if I truly didn't need service, which felt unnecessary.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right above Century Park Station on Line 2, making it incredibly convenient for anyone traveling by metro. I particularly loved the lobby's floor tiles and overall decor style – it's bright and airy, and they even have a self-service tea station. My room also had a balcony, which made it so well-ventilated that I didn't even need the air conditioning. Standing on the balcony and looking out was incredibly refreshing and comfortable.

iceguaHad a great stay, and they even upgraded my room! The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was huge. The overall facilities were complete and well-maintained, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The garden environment was very pleasant. The service was also excellent, and breakfast could be delivered to the room. All the staff were very enthusiastic. I forgot their names, but I definitely have to mention the front desk guy today – he was especially helpful! I'll come again next time.
