Pros: location, breakfast, service are great. Family room is big and spacious. Beds are comfortable.
Cons: water in the sink is moving down slowly. Toilet water is also slow. The room temperature is 25-26 degrees, we tried to adjust the temperature down to 19 but the device does not respond. We had to open the window to cool the room down. We were told during our stay the gym and poor are in maintnmenence so we cannot use it.

Very affordable price with spacious size of the basic room! Shower gel is very nice and I really like its aromatic but not too strong scent; however, it is too little for daily use with bathtub. Location is quite far from tourist hotspots but close to the north bund.

Bad location.
40 minutes to Downtown.
No close coffee shops or restaurants.
No mobile chine near by.
No bank near by to exchange money.
No one speak English.

Hotel was conveniently located and within short walking distances to shopping malls and food as well as the bund. The room was spacious and clean and was quiet. Transportation was easy with subway station about 3 minutes walk away.

Unfortunately the spa and other amenities in the hotel are not operating, so it was necessary to search around. But it was quite convenient due to the very good navigation for tourists in the adjacent area. Thanks to the administration of the local neighbourhood Tilanqiao, unlike other areas in Shanghai, there are all necessary signs and directories and all of them have English version

Classic-styled hotel. Clean and spacious room. Some dust on some surface but acceptable, met chinese standard. Got upgraded to higher room type. Cleaning was done everyday. 4 bottle of water provided (family room for 3 people). Body soap and shampoo provided in very small bottle which was not quite enough but they were refilled everyday. King bed was larger than standard and very comfortable. Pillows were too soft, need to put 2 of them together. Shower and toilet area were too dark, not enough light. The refrigerator was not working. View was fantastic (17th floor). Sometimes cigarette smell came from air-condition. Breakfast was good, variety of food and changed everyday. Staffs can speak English and had very good service mind. Lots of shops and restaurants at Raffles city opposite of the Hotel. Metro station was only 7 mins walk. Overall was very good, met 4.5 star standard.

I stayed in Ocean Hotel for 7 days. Very nice hotel with very nice people working there. If I need to see something in Shanghai, Mr. Ken Chen Dian Bin always gave me advice on where to go to see tourist attractions. He is FO Menager. The beautiful ladies from reception also help me all the way. The food was fantastic, Mr Alex ,the supervisor downstairs restaurant, made 100 % people happy with their food. One day, I will be back to this hotel again. Thank you very much to you all.
