Guest UserThe Mandarin Hotel is located on Starlight Island in the West Coast New Area, surrounded by the sea and boasting stunning island scenery. As soon as you arrive, you can feel a sense of tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The sea breeze creates a wonderful vacation vibe. However, there was an entertainment event on the island that day, so it was incredibly crowded.
Stepping into the hotel lobby, the elegant and grand design perfectly blends with marine elements. The glass dome and crystal chandeliers complement each other beautifully. What impressed me most was the self-playing piano in the lobby; its melodious tunes flowed under the dome, adding an artistic touch to the entire space and instantly washing away any travel fatigue.
My business twin room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic sea views. Drawing back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by the magnificent sight of the sunrise over the ocean. The room was well-equipped, the bedding was comfortable, and every detail showcased quality.
The hotel's amenities are excellent. The complimentary indoor pool has clear, well-maintained water and is a good size. It's very well-regulated; you need a swimming cap to use it, and there's also a sauna and hot spring. The gym is fully equipped, and in addition to exercise machines, there's a table tennis room and an aerobics room. The hotel garden is charming, with European-style stone carvings adding a unique flair. Just outside, there's a seaside boardwalk, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. Parking and EV charging were very convenient, and the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making my entire stay, from check-in to check-out, feel incredibly welcoming.

marmot1212Overall, I'm quite disappointed. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with young children.
Let's start with the positives, which go to the housekeeping staff. They provided plenty of water. I don't like the light from alarm clocks, and the attendant noticed I'd turned mine slightly away, understood I disliked the light, and even flipped it over for me. Very thoughtful service!
Now for the many negatives!
First, the front desk staff. I had purchased a voucher for two rooms for two nights, and I made this clear at check-in. However, on the third day, they still called me around noon asking if I was extending my stay, which disrupted my rest. Later, our room cards stopped working, leaving three adults and two children stranded on another floor. Extremely frustrating! The correct procedure would have been for them to check my reservation before calling, realize I had another booking, and then have an attendant deliver new cards to my room. Thumbs down!
No breakfast in the executive lounge – thumbs down! If the executive lounge doesn't offer breakfast, then there should at least be a dedicated dining area in the main restaurant for executive room guests, offering priority seating. I booked an executive room precisely because I wanted to avoid crowded breakfasts and long queues. If I had known they couldn't provide this service, I would have chosen a different hotel or not booked an executive room, as there's a premium price attached, right?
The hotel's family facilities – thumbs down! There are absolutely no family facilities, no kids' playground, and no kids' club activities. Nothing for toddlers to do.
The beach – thumbs down! If you're coming specifically for the beach, don't bother. The hotel's so-called private beach is surrounded by two drainage outlets. When it rained, we could see dark, murky water being discharged directly into it. I wouldn't dare let my children play there. So, you'd have to walk quite a distance anyway, making staying here completely unnecessary.
The rooms are very small. There are no connecting rooms, and even rooms of the same type aren't adjacent (according to the hotel staff themselves). The two rooms they assigned us had several other rooms in between, which was very inconvenient.

I specifically want to leave a glowing review for all the front office staff at MGM Qingdao. Elly from Guest Relations is incredibly responsible; she coordinated and resolved my requests within minutes of me messaging her during my stay. The front desk service was meticulous and thoughtful, proactively confirming my preferences and ensuring zero wait time for check-in. The concierge team provided incredibly detailed service, handling my luggage securely and proactively opening doors and greeting me upon my return. Their recommendations for local seafood restaurants were spot on and reliable. The Executive Lounge offers an unparalleled view, with a rich selection of afternoon tea and happy hour meals, and the staff were prompt in clearing tables. All the in-room appliances and bathroom amenities were immaculate and well-maintained. The infinity high-altitude pool offers direct sea views, and the gym boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with a full range of cardio and strength equipment. From the front desk to the lounge, the service maintained a consistently high standard, with Elly coordinating and following up throughout. The experience was simply flawless.

Guest UserHighly recommend Ramada by Wyndham Jiaodong Airport! It's clean, cozy, and exceptionally comfortable. The room cleanliness is top-notch – floors and bathrooms are spotless, and the overall space is wide and comfortable. The mattress firmness is just right, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hotel is very close to the airport, and the complimentary shuttle service is excellent. With high hygiene standards, staying here for an early morning flight is truly reassuring. The hotel lobby also has a comfortable ambiance.

BaidaYService: Acceptable.
Cleanliness: Decent. Breakfast was good.
Environment: Great location, right by the Marina Bay Sands.
Facilities: The room had a fantastic view, directly overlooking the light show. It was a loft, open-plan, which the kids loved. The tatami mat meant we didn't have to worry about them falling off the bed. The upstairs bathroom didn't have a door. Overall, the value for money was good, and it could accommodate more people.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic, offering partial sea views. It's super convenient as the subway lines 2 and 3 are right downstairs. Plus, it's next to MixC shopping mall, so finding places to eat is a breeze. The front desk staff and telephone service agents were all incredibly warm and welcoming, and the cleaning ladies were also very nice. The breakfast spread was extensive and catered to different tastes, though they seemed a bit short on cutlery, as I had to grab some from other tables. I suggest they improve on that. Overall, highly recommended!

Guest UserThe hotel was excellent, and the service even better. I was especially touched by Anna's assistance. My child needed to stay overnight at the airport due to a layover, and as they are under 18, I called ahead to confirm the check-in process. Anna was incredibly responsible and helped arrange airport pickup, a room upgrade, and more. Her one-on-one, direct communication really put my mind at ease as a mother. I'm so grateful! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing an overnight stay during a layover – it's definitely my top choice!

Guest UserThis hotel's biggest draws are its unbeatable location and incredible sea views. It's right next to the Olympic Sailing Center, and you can walk straight out to May Fourth Square, making it a prime spot for watching the light show. The rooms are spacious and bright, especially the high-floor sea-view rooms – you can lie on the sofa and take in the stunning night views of Fushan Bay. The breakfast is varied and includes local specialties. Service is top-notch; the front desk staff are professional and friendly, accommodating room requests. While it's an older five-star hotel that's been open for years and shows a bit of age, it's generally well-maintained and doesn't detract from a comfortable stay. With Hisense Plaza nearby, shopping and dining are incredibly convenient. It’s perfect for travelers who prioritize great views and convenience.

Guest UserCheck in and check out was easy. Staff were helpful and found ways around the language barrier. I was in town for the half marathon so only had a light breakfast but there was plenty to eat. There was a slight smell of stale cigarette but it was not so much that it impacted on the stay. The room met my needs and was very comfortable. There is a great park to walk or run around very close. A taxi is necessary to get to town or find a wider range of food options. I ate at the mirage which was a hot pot restaurant and this was a pleasant experience.

Hygiene: The condition is worrying. There are hairs on the sink. One towel is hard and the other is soft (those who have stayed in hotels know what's going on). The water on the floor of the shower room is not dry. Are they really not afraid of customers slipping?
Service: The service quality of the front desk is really good. Whether it's towels or water, they can be solved in time. But the next day, when I didn't check out, the cleaning lady came to knock on the door? What does it mean? Are you chasing people away? I won't come again
