"As always, the staff are accommodating and courteous, from the front desk, security, and restaurant servers, even the OJTs (I think?) wearing white uniforms during breakfast. Everyone was nice, attentive, and welcoming.
I always come back to St. Giles because of its location and the homey feeling it has compared to other hotels in Poblacion. I’ve stayed at different hotels around the area whenever I want a quick staycation to relax and swim during my days off, but this has always been my go-to hotel. This was actually my first stay this year, and I noticed that a lot has changed.
I’m not sure if it’s due to government regulations, but there are no toothbrushes provided in the room anymore. There was also only one bath towel in the room even though there were two of us checked in. The water in the hallway is empty in the morning when we want to make coffee in the room. I hope the housekeeping team will be more attentive with these things.
What disappointed me the most was the breakfast selection. Breakfast used to be one of my favorite parts of staying here, but now the selection feels quite limited and sad. There’s no bacon or even danggit anymore, which are usually breakfast staples. Most of the choices were heavy meals. Plus points for the roti, though.
Overall, the stay was still okay, but I think I might not come back in the meantime. I hope next time i'll experience the same homey and warm feeling from you."
