The bedding was spotless and fluffy. The cleaning staff did an excellent job; the bathroom was dry and odor-free, with every corner and the vanity area perfectly cleaned. Hot water was stable, the air conditioning worked great, and the mattress was just the right firmness with excellent soundproofing. "The room was fantastic, with a strong Chinese aesthetic. Most of the furniture and facilities were made of wood, which was very comfortable. There was even a mahjong table, though we couldn't gather enough people to play, haha! The bed was very comfortable. Upon check-in, we also received a complimentary enhanced hot spring experience. We chose lavender, and to our surprise, it was freshly brewed, which was a lovely surprise. After checking out, I left my power bank in the room, and it wasn't convenient to arrange a courier. Our butler, Xiaoya, brought it to us the next morning, for which I'm extremely grateful. Both the check-in and check-out services were excellent. When we left, we didn't even need to go to the front desk to check out, but the butler still chased us out from the front desk to say goodbye, ask about our stay, and see us off. Although breakfast for two was included when we booked the room, we didn't wake up in time. I'll definitely try it next time I visit!"

"I found this French-designed B&B online and absolutely loved the style. The original date I wanted to stay was fully booked for double rooms, so I deliberately postponed my trip to experience it, and it was totally worth it! I'll definitely visit Chongqing again and will choose this place next time. **Location** The B&B's location is superb, right near the entrance to the Shibati scenic area. It's only a 10-20 minute walk to nearby attractions like Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, Shancheng Alley, Baixiang Street, and the Yangtze River Cableway. It's also about a 12-minute walk to Jiaochangkou subway station, making it super convenient for tourists to reach places like Zhongshan Fourth Road, the Three Gorges Museum, and Huguang Guild Hall with just a few subway stops. **Facilities** This B&B is converted from an old building within the former French Consulate complex, retaining its French architectural characteristics. The rooms are also designed in a French style – minimalist and comfortable. The bedding is cozy, the toilet is smart and flushes automatically, and the drying rack above the toilet is excellent, especially useful in humid Chongqing. The mini-fridge offers complimentary drinks that are replenished daily. The shower, sink, and toilet areas are separate, so they don't interfere with each other, which is very convenient for guests staying in pairs or threes. From the entrance, reception, and elevator to the rooftop garden, every detail reflects thoughtful design. The rooftop garden offers views of Shibati, which looks even better at night when the area is lit up. The B&B has its own restaurant on the ground floor, which is also where breakfast is served. One evening, after a tiring day of sightseeing, we didn't want to go out, so we just ate at the restaurant, which was very convenient. **Hygiene** The room was clean and tidy, cleaned daily with replenished supplies, and even provided disposable face towels. **Service** The service was excellent, with staff showing great service awareness and attitude. They offered practical and thoughtful sightseeing tips. They proactively contacted me the day before check-in, came out to greet me and helped with luggage upon arrival, and also helped with luggage when I left. We enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea on the day of our check-in. For breakfast, there are three set menu options: Chinese, Western, and Chongqing noodles. They'll ask you via WeChat the day before which one you'd prefer. The portions are generous; I could never finish it all."

"Staying at this hotel felt like being on cloud nine! ☁️ After visiting Eling Park and Liziba during the day, I returned to the hotel to find a quiet and peaceful environment, a true oasis amidst the city's hustle and bustle. The hotel boasts a modern, minimalist, yet luxurious design, with wooden elements complemented by soft lighting. The room was spacious, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the city's greenery. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were well-stocked. The amenities were excellent. The gym had expansive views and a full range of equipment, allowing me to enjoy the city scenery while working out. Breakfast offered a rich variety, including both Chinese and Western options. They even had freshly made Chongqing noodles, along with fresh fruits, bread, and pastries. The front desk service was also very attentive."

"The environment has a very interesting Romanesque style, with many custom-made items and unique neon light elements. The room service is on-call, and there are even cute robots to deliver things. I especially love the silk bedding; it's so comfortable and a pleasant surprise! If the pillows aren't to your liking, there are several functional pillows to choose from. "My stay here had its ups and downs. Let me start with the positives: the hotel has many thoughtful touches, the views are excellent, and afternoon tea is provided. The noodles at breakfast, especially the 'xiaomian' and 'zajiangmian', were delicious. Plus, it's right next to the Wangjiang Road Grand Steps, which is a big plus. However, honestly, it falls far short of what you'd expect from a 4-diamond upscale hotel and a 4.9 rating. It simply doesn't meet the standards for that kind of classification. There are several significant flaws that really impacted my experience: 1. There's no proper main entrance. You have to go through an underground parking lot to get in, and the elevator isn't exclusive to the hotel. It's a rather unpleasant environment, and the waiting times are long, which made for a poor first impression. 2. There's no power outlet on one side of the bed. This is a poorly designed feature and very inconvenient for daily use – a real shortcoming. 3. The lighting controls are confusing and awkward to operate. 4. The shower water temperature was inconsistent, constantly fluctuating between hot and cold. Overall, the hotel's hardware is mediocre, though the service (software) is a bit better. But it absolutely does not deserve a 4-diamond rating or a 4.9 score. This rating clearly doesn't align with the actual experience. I feel misled by the rating and classification when I booked. I hope the platform can verify the true situation to prevent more people from being misinformed."

"This is my first time leaving a negative review on Ctrip, and staying in this room was truly unlucky. There was a huge bug on the floor, but that wasn't the biggest issue. Right downstairs was a hot pot restaurant, and it was incredibly noisy. Last night, a group of people downstairs were drinking and playing finger-guessing games. We went to bed at 10:30 PM, even with our own earplugs in, but we were constantly woken up by the noise. Around 12 AM, my friend called the front desk to complain about the unbearable noise, but it didn't help. I held out until 12:30 AM and called the front desk again, telling them that if nothing was done, I would call the police. We finally managed to get some sleep after that group left around 12:40 AM. What's even more ridiculous is that there was a couple in the next room. Initially, they were also disturbed by the hot pot restaurant downstairs, just like us, and I assume they complained to the front desk as well. The soundproofing was absolutely terrible; we could hear constant sighing and coughing from their room. After the hot pot restaurant quieted down later in the night, the couple in the next room started making noise. But we were so exhausted that we eventually fell asleep. Since we went to bed so late, we could clearly hear them blow-drying their hair in the morning. As for breakfast, the steamed buns looked like they had been reheated multiple times, so I didn't dare eat them; they were all flaky. I only ate the noodles. In summary, the soundproofing is abysmal; you can hear every little thing happening next door. The hot pot restaurant downstairs was still noisy with drinking and finger-guessing games late into the night, and multiple complaints didn't make a difference. The village itself is quite nice, but the accommodation experience was terrible. The loft had a lot of dust, and I even saw a huge spider while showering but forgot to take a picture – truly a 'natural' environment, haha. The nearby hot spring only had three pools open, and the forest river view one I most wanted to visit seemed to be under maintenance. I really hope the hotel seriously works on improving the soundproofing; it's genuinely too loud. The hot pot restaurant downstairs should also be more considerate; they're not the only business around. The village is still very beautiful and great for photos."

The room quality was high, and the hot spring pools were clean and unique. I also had a SPA massage, and the technique was very professional. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place for my future vacations!"
