Chongqing Ashan River View Hotel (Jiefangbei Raffles Square Branch)

The hotel reception is on the 21st floor, and for rooms above the 30th floor, you have to switch elevators. I stayed on the 34th floor. After checking in and getting my key on the 21st floor, I took the elevator to the 30th floor, then transferred to another elevator to go up to the 34th floor. Going to the laundry room was even more complicated. The laundry room is on the 28th floor. First, I had to go from the 34th floor down to the 30th floor, then switch elevators to go to the 21st floor, and then from the 21st floor, switch elevators again to go up to the 28th floor. I was so confused, how many transfers do you need to make?! 😂😂😂 The room itself was nice and quite spacious. It would have been better if the downstairs toilet had a shower. For those sleeping downstairs, it was a hassle to have to climb upstairs just to shower, and then come back down. It was quite inconvenient. Everything else was good.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The location is fantastic, with all the major attractions within walking distance. The views are stunning, and the room was excellent – spacious, well-equipped, and designed as a duplex. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered a perfect view of the landmark Raffles City and the confluence of the two rivers. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, always ready to offer advice and help. They even assisted us in buying discounted tickets for the night cruise. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! Chongqing truly is a beautiful city! If we visit Chongqing again, we will definitely stay at your hotel.

The location is great, right opposite Raffles City, which has a cruise terminal next to it. You can reach Raffles City via an underground subway passage in just a three-minute walk. There's also a clothing wholesale market nearby. However, the cleanliness needs improvement, there's no breakfast, and the bathroom is very small with the water heater inside, separated by a door.

Our schedule was packed on the last day, with plans to visit Jiefangbei and the Yangtze River Cableway early the next morning, then catch a high-speed train in the afternoon. The hotel's free luggage storage was a huge plus. It's located right opposite Raffles City, making it super convenient to snap photos of the landmark in the morning. We also got a late checkout, so we didn't have to drag our bags around while exploring. The room was very clean, and it offered great value for money. It's definitely a stress-free option for travelers with a tight itinerary.

The moment you step in, you feel at ease, and the bedding is so soft and comfortable. The staff are patient and efficient, making the check-in process quick and simple. The hotel offers river views, which are lovely, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, or you can ask the front desk for recommendations. There's also a free laundry room, which is perfect for summer trips, making it super convenient to wash and change clothes!

This apartment-hotel room felt just like home, fully equipped with all the amenities one could need, which was super convenient. I slept very comfortably; it was quite quiet and there were no strange odors. The hotel is close to Jiefangbei, Hongya Cave, and Qianximen Bridge, all within a 10-15 minute walk. The surrounding area has a wide variety of restaurants, concentrating many of Chongqing's famous dishes. There are also street food stalls downstairs in the afternoon and evening. The room offered a broad view, and I could even see the river. The food street downstairs offers good value for breakfast and is very handy. Next time I visit Chongqing, I will definitely choose this hotel again.
