AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and well-maintained, and the housekeeping service was excellent. The location is perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided outstanding service throughout my stay. GGuest UserExcellent. Big comfortable bed, big and small lockers in the room, shower was amazing and there were many opportunities to meet other travelers during Songkran. Two common areas, a kitchen for everyone to use and there is even a beautiful view on the rooftop looking at the river!

AAlexTannThis hotel was the last stop on our trip to Thailand. Compared to The Nai Harn, it felt grander and more business-oriented, which was evident from the breakfast spread – definitely geared more towards business travelers. We stayed on the executive floor, though it wasn't an executive room itself... which I found a bit odd. The hotel's decor has a retro, old-fashioned vibe, making it feel less like a holiday retreat for me personally. However, these weren't major issues. The staff's service attitude was consistently excellent. The main pool was quite busy, possibly because two youth football teams were staying there, so there were lots of people playing and having fun. It was still a good experience overall.

CCangjiujieqiI stayed here around the same time last year, and this time I came with my kids again, plus an elder who's almost 70. I chose this hotel again because of its convenient location (the hotel provides a shuttle boat and there are tuk-tuks at the Ferris Wheel pier) and excellent value for money. This trip also had an unexpected surprise: in the long alley opposite 7-Eleven, across the road from the hotel (pictured in image 2), there's a local morning market. It probably starts in the early morning and is mostly packed up by noon. Walking through it gives you a great sense of local prices and daily life. The hotel's pool bar is now renovated this year, and the prices are still as delightful as ever.

SSS05Holiday Inn Bangkok: Perfect Solo Weekend Retreat Near Emsphere I recently spent a relaxed long weekend (just over two nights) solo at Holiday Inn Bangkok, right next to Emsphere mall. As an NRI zipping between Hong Kong and Bangkok for work, I needed a hassle-free spot with easy access to shopping, dining, and BTS— this nailed it. Location (5/5): Smack in Sukhumvit's heart, it's a 1-min walk to Emsphere's trendy shops, cinemas, and food scene. BTS Phrom Phong is 5 mins away, making airport runs and city jaunts effortless. No taxi drama in Bangkok traffic! Room & Comfort (4.5/5): My superior room was spotless, modern, and spacious for solo use— king bed was plush, blackout curtains ensured deep sleep despite city buzz. Huge bathroom with rain shower and amenities felt luxurious. Minor nitpick: AC was a tad noisy at night, but earplugs fixed it. Free Wi-Fi was speedy for my work calls. Service & Facilities (4/5): Staff were warm and efficient—check-in was instant, and they upgraded my view gratis. Gym and pool on the 8th floor offered stunning skyline vistas; poolside was quiet for solo unwinding. Breakfast buffet was solid (fresh Thai/Western options), but could use more variety for repeat stays. Value (4.5/5): At ~THB 4,500/night (booked via app), it's a steal for the location and IHG perks. Quiet for a city hotel, ideal for solo travelers avoiding party vibes. Overall: 4.5/5. Highly recommend for short business-leisure trips. Will return!

Zzoe_augustI took my mum to Bangkok for the first time and we had a great time staying here for a week. The location is closed to BTS ThongLo station and takes 12 mins to walk back to the hotel. It’s quite apart from being in ThongLo area. The cleaning lady comes to clean our room every day and was extremely professional. The view was great! I definitely recommend and will stay another time with my family. Thank you!

AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for two nights. Cons The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation. The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are. A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened. There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only. The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable. There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened. The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone. The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove. Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling. Pros The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person. Clean bed linen. The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure. The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery. There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed. The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly. The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls. The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel. Overall Suitable for a short stay of one night. The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos. The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

NNari.I recently spent several nights at the Furama Silom Hotel in Bangkok, and if you are looking for a blend of convenience, space, and local flavor, this property is a solid contender. Located on the bustling Silom Road, the hotel stands as a prominent choice for both leisure travelers and business professionals who want to be in the thick of Bangkok’s financial and nightlife district. Spacious Living in a Prime Location The first thing that struck me about Furama Silom is the sheer size of the rooms. In a city where many modern hotels are trending toward compact ”minimalist” spaces, Furama offers an expansive environment. My room was bright, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that provided a fantastic view of the city skyline. The inclusion of a kitchenette was a thoughtful touch, making it feel more like an apartment than a standard hotel room. The location is undoubtedly the hotel's strongest selling point. It is roughly a 10-minute walk to both the Saint Louis and Chong Nonsi BTS stations, making the rest of the city easily accessible. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, the famous Patpong Night Market, the historic Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, and a plethora of local street food stalls and 7-Eleven stores are just a short stroll away. Rooftop Relaxation and Dining The highlight of the stay was the rooftop swimming pool on the 20th floor. It offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Bangkok, which is particularly breathtaking at sunset. There is also a poolside bar where you can unwind with a cocktail after a long day of sightseeing. Regarding the breakfast buffet, it served a decent variety of Western and Asian dishes. While the menu stayed relatively consistent each day, the quality was good, and the dining area provided a welcoming atmosphere to start the morning. Service and Hospitality The staff at Furama Silom deserve a special mention. From the concierge to the housekeeping team, the service was warm and professional. Check-in was efficient, and they were always ready to assist with taxi bookings or local recommendations. Their hospitality truly embodies the ”Land of Smiles.” Points for Consideration While my stay was overall very positive, it is worth noting that the hotel has a bit of a ”vintage” feel. Some parts of the interior show their age, with slightly dated carpets and furniture. However, the hotel is clearly undergoing maintenance and renovations to address this, and given the competitive pricing, the value for money remains exceptionally high. Verdict I would recommend Furama Silom Hotel to travelers who prioritize location and space over ultra-modern luxury. It is a practical, comfortable, and friendly base for exploring everything Bangkok has to offer. Whether you are here for a short business trip or a week-long vacation, it provides a reliable and pleasant experience.
