It's a bit of a walk from Shin-Ekoda Station, but it's in a great location. I was worried the reception desk would close around 7 PM, but I called and they were able to come out, which was great. 💦
I was staying for a couple of nights, so I was worried about towels, but when I called, they hung them on the door handle, which was a relief.

The hotel is a less than ten-minute walk from Ikebukuro, which you can reach directly by airport bus. The room, communal sink area, shower, and toilet are all very clean. There's also a fridge and microwave available. The only downside is the poor soundproofing, but overall, I'm satisfied.

Thank MIYU
During my trip to Japan, I stayed at this hotel. The front desk staff, MIYU (an intern), left a very deep impression on me.
I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time, and my English is not very good. However, MIYU could already understand what I wanted to say before I finished my sentence. This shows that she truly understands the needs of customers and is very empathetic. She is also very familiar with all aspects of the hotel’s operations and answered my questions patiently.
Her attitude and work performance are truly commendable, and she made me feel very welcomed. I am very grateful for her help.

It's about a 15-minute walk to Ikebukuro Station, but the walk doesn't feel long at all since there are so many shops, restaurants, and places to buy things along the way! The room was a bit small, and we couldn't fully open two large suitcases, but the value for money was excellent. I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit Japan.

Clean, cosy hotel within 5 mins walk from the Sunshine Prince Hotel(SPH). You can take the Airport Limousine Coach to SPH and walk to Grand City. Really in a convenient location with the usual Family, 7-11 and Lawson marts within 1min walk. Room size is similar to many of the local hotels. Hotel breakfast is also good.. local spread with some western usuals cooked in familiar Japanese style.

If you’re simply looking for a place to sleep, I would recommend this guesthouse. I’ve stayed here two to three times already. The rooms are spacious, and the location offers easy access to both the subway and JR Ikebukuro Station. The staff are friendly and supportive. One thing to note is that the rooms are not soundproof, so you may hear people walking past your room.

Room look a bit outdated.. I believe some rooms on some floors are currently undergoing renovation which is good. Complimentary coffee sachets (in addition to the complimentary green tea sachets and roasted green tea sachets) and complimentary disposable shavers woud be nice.
Laundry service was prompt and super good. Housekeeping team did a very good job in keeping the rooms clean.
Convenient limousine bus stop to both Haneda and Narita airports just outside the main street entrance of the hotel.
Would consider staying there again if I visit Tokyo again in the near future.

The hotel's location is fantastic – right next to public transport, with all sorts of amenities nearby. In the evening, you can just head downstairs and find some great pubs. If you're a fan of yakitori or BBQ, you'll be spoiled for choice. At the front desk, I met a fellow countryman who specially arranged for a larger room for me. The service was absolutely attentive. Although the facilities are a bit older, it's far superior to those rooms where you can barely fit your luggage. I highly recommend staying here! Make sure to ask for a corner room; even though they might be irregularly shaped, they offer a very comfortable amount of space.

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic. You can reach the Shinjuku Station New South Exit in just a few minutes from the second floor. The rooms on the higher floors offer great views, perfect for seeing the city lights twinkling at night. Plus, there's an Alexa smart assistant in the room that you can connect to via Bluetooth.
ZZhongguangguangHonestly, aside from the price, this hotel has no flaws. It has its own natural hot spring, free to use after 3 PM as long as you follow the communal bathing rules. After a thorough rinse, you can enjoy a relaxing soak. From 5 PM onwards, there's even complimentary alcohol served on the first floor.
Every day, you can choose free pajamas and pillows, with various softness and firmness options available. There's an ice machine on each floor, where you can also get iced water.
Fresh and clean bath towels and other linens are provided daily.
The service is incredibly attentive and meticulous. Every time you leave, someone at the front desk wishes you a safe journey. When checking out, someone at the door will open it, bow, and wish you a safe trip.
Downstairs, there's a ramen shop open until 4 AM, so even if you miss dinner sometimes, you're in the central Ginza area, with countless restaurants open until the early hours just a few steps away.
The K S Higashi-Ginza Station is right at the doorstep. Across the street is the Higashi-Ginza Line of the Hibiya Line, and just one more street over is the Ginza Station of the Ginza Line, making transportation extremely convenient.
MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob).
Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn.
They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park.
However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay:
1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around.
2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.
GGuest UserSubway access nearby is quite convenient. At approximately 15.6 sqm, the room felt noticeably more spacious compared to the typical 10 sqm rooms often found in other business hotels nearby. The hotel seemed to attract a lot of international guests. A coin-operated laundry facility is available on the 13th floor (300 JPY for a wash, 100 JPY for drying), though it tends to get quite busy in the evenings. There's a small gym on the third floor, which I considered a nice bonus. Breakfast was decent, and the restaurant also serves lunch. My only minor complaint is that, despite being a non-smoking room, I could faintly detect a smoky smell on the bath towels and pillows.
SSunshinaGreat location, great service !
We had an early check in at 1pm and we are so glad with this service, we off load all our luggage right away and explored the heart of shinjuku.
This area is safe and convenient for night city explorer, the roof top bar offers great view for us to enjoy our drinks.
Will definitely come back and recommend to friends.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a free shuttle to Disneyland.
The airport limo bus stops directly at the hotel.
No house keeping. The rooms are very small. Can probably open one luggage at a time.
Take note that during winter, the aircon is on heater mode. The room is very hot and stuffy. Only returned to the room at night, hence the temperature was still bearable. If during the day, I think the room will be extremely hot without the aircon.
WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.
GGuest UserNice experience!Overall I recommend it for solo travellers. The location is central and it is close to metro stations.
Also, the bedsheets are changed everyday, you get clean pyjama and towels everyday.
One thing that was annoying is the size of the lockes, it is very small and little bit inconvenient with the card sistem.
Also keep in mind that you have to be out of the hotel during the certain hours due to cleaning.
BBep SumangIt was a nice experience staying at Hotel Centurion Ueno. The location is very convenient, with train stations nearby and a convenience store just across the lot. There are also several restaurants in the area, as well as easy access to Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and the Ameyoko street market. The room is small but can accommodate two average-built persons. Although the hotel was under renovation at the time, overall it was still an awesome stay, and I give it a 👍👍.
GGuest UserThe stay was enjoyable. The person that cleaned the rooms was really friendly and helped us always out. Washing machine was perfect for us. The only complain I have is that under the bed it was really dirty.
