The location was convient and close to the airport. We took a tax since we arrived late at night, the expenses was acceptable. Then it was walking distance to the market and Ginza, as we are used to walk around a lot. The room was well designed and clean, fit two suitcases easily. The cleaning service was very nice. Convient store everywhere. I had to use laundry outside the hotel since all the four machines were occupied in the hotel. It was only  a few minutes away. I also shopped at a local super market and got a super fancy bento box. Really enjoyed it. The coffee machine in the room was a bonus. After we checked out, it was one bus trip to the Tokyo station right in front of the hotel. Definitely recommend the hotel.

The location is very convenient, but the nearest subway exit doesn't have an elevator. You need to do your research beforehand, otherwise, you'll end up like me, rushing to catch a flight and taking the closest entrance, lugging your suitcase downstairs – it was exhausting. Within the Ginza area, shopping and dining are a breeze. Plus, if you walk towards Tsukiji, it's not the bustling Ginza at all; it's a very quiet neighborhood.

The facilities are great, especially the tatami mats, and the shower pressure was excellent. The only minor downside was the 10 AM checkout. Unfortunately, my family caught the flu and had a fever of over 40 degrees. Luckily, I brought medicine, but they still needed to rest. I had to pay for an additional 5 hours, at 1100 yen per hour, for an early check-in and late checkout. It was a lifesaver that they allowed us to pay for the extra time; otherwise, I don't know what we would have done. Tsukiji Market is right downstairs, but the subway is a bit of a walk, usually more than 8 minutes. Overall, it's great value for money.

I stayed at this hotel for a total of five nights under two separate reservations. During my stay, I began experiencing intense itching on my thighs, which worsened over several nights. After returning home, I sought medical attention and was informed that the symptoms were consistent with bed bug bites. I reported this issue to the hotel. While the staff responded politely and stated that they conducted an inspection, they said no evidence was found and declined to offer any refund or compensation, stating that they could not determine the source. The experience caused significant physical discomfort and stress and seriously affected the quality of my stay. Although the hotel communicated in a professional manner, the lack of accountability and resolution was disappointing. I would advise future guests to be cautious and closely check bedding and room conditions upon arrival.

It is difficult to find accommodation for three or more people near Kinji, and even if you do, the prices tend to be high. However, this place, which opened on April 1st, is truly the best. The kids were also very satisfied, and it is close to Tsukizu Station and Higashi-Shiginjo Station. I was worried because there were no reviews when I booked, but I think I made a good choice. The beds, bedding, refrigerator, and table were all excellent. I don't think there is a place like this in Tokyo.

Hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and cafes, making it easy to find food options nearby. While it’s accessible, do expect a bit of a walk to reach major subway lines like the Ginza Line. Cleanliness could be improved, but it’s acceptable for an older hotel. The ladies’ room facilities are well equipped, which is a nice touch. Room size is standard for Tokyo — fits two 26/27” suitcases, though space gets tight when moving around.

A 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station. Close to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Ginza, and more, this hotel is extremely convenient for sightseeing in Tokyo. It's also close to Tokyo Tower and located along the JR Yamanote Line, making travel very easy. The room type is a mixed-gender dormitory room.

This guesthouse is tucked away in an alley near Shimbashi Station, making it incredibly close to the subway and surrounded by convenience stores – super convenient for getting around. During the day, it's pretty quiet, but come evening, there's a fantastic selection of izakayas and girl's bars. It's perfect for those who enjoy nightlife, and while generally safe for solo female travelers, it's always good to be a little mindful. The guesthouse has three above-ground floors with rooms and a basement floor with washrooms and a laundry room. There's also a smoking room on the first floor. I stayed in a mixed dorm on the second floor. There are plenty of beds, and each bed has its own small shoe cabinet and locker. The washrooms in the basement are quite spacious, with several vanity tables and large counters, and each spot even has a hairdryer. It was really pleasant and comfortable to get ready in the morning! The front desk is staffed during certain hours, but both check-in and check-out are self-service. I've stayed in many hostels, and this one offers a very good level of comfort. The only minor inconvenience was having to go down to the basement for the washrooms and needing to remember to bring the slippers provided in the room. Being a bit forgetful, I often found myself running back and forth between my second-floor room and the basement to grab things Q.Q But the location truly is incredibly convenient. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay very close to a subway station!

I stayed here for one night without meals. There are restaurants nearby, and even if you miss the scheduled time, there are some chain restaurants that are open 24 hours a day, so it's a good option. The hotel has a nice atmosphere that feels like it's worth the price, and the overall feel is a bit dated. I stayed here, and it may have just been the room, but the sewage smell in the bathroom was pretty strong. It wasn't a problem when I was taking a bath, but the sewage smell was noticeable when I was using the toilet or washing my face, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people who are particular about cleanliness or who like their bathrooms clean... (There wasn't any mold or anything, just the awful sewage smell.) Otherwise, the front desk responded quickly when I contacted them around 4pm, which was nice. I recommend this hotel for people who have business in the area, don't want to stay long, don't want to stay in internet cafes, and want to keep costs as low as possible!

GGuest UserI traveled alone and my room is for 1-2 ppl. I enjoyed my stay. Staff are very cheerful, sincerely and helpful. The location is excellent which the metro exit is next to the hotel but the exit is only stairs. Those travelers who have big luggage might be very concerned. There are many restaurants nearby also convenience store. The room is very neat very tidy but a bit crowded if 2ppl. Not much space for your luggage. The amenities are great! I loved the onsen so much!! Because i came for Garmin Run Aisa and it helped me recover alot! I probably recommend my fds to come and I will come next time for my trip to Tokyo.

PPonyTaroWhile the room is not big, and the air condition coupd take some times to start getting cool, the hotel is nice. The breakfast is a normal japanese breakfast, so it would be a big plus for anyone who love those kind of meals The location is really convenience. Just 10 minutes pf less walking from useno and okachimachi stagion, surrounded by all the foods, shoppings, and night life. (And it was very quiet and serene in the morning. ) The onsen/public bath is good. If you are early or time it a bit, it would be almost no one there. A plus for those who might be intimidated by the culture. Also, maybe most of the customers are foreigner, the percentage of public bath enjoyer looks pretty small.

MMofamaomiuFirst, the positives: The staff are incredibly friendly, and the hotel's commitment to sustainability is truly commendable. You can genuinely feel their care for both guests and employees, with thoughtful touches everywhere. They offer a choice of pillows (soft or firm), yukatas, and self-service toiletries. The breakfast spread is fantastic, with delicious salads and bread, plus a toaster oven. The evening public bath is a carbonated hot spring, and while it's not huge, it's open all night! After a day of shopping, soaking in the hot spring is incredibly relaxing. The only minor drawbacks are that the room is quite small, and the narrow hallway makes it difficult to open luggage. However, given the location and price, there's really nothing to complain about. It's highly recommended for tourists staying 1-2 days or solo travelers!

It hasn't changed in years, not even the layout. I really hope the hotel can improve this and start offering eggs, whether boiled or fried.

GGuest UserShinjuku Granbell Hotel was my accommodation choice during this Tokyo Shinjuku trip. Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel. The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking. Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). For someone who enjoys walking, it’s manageable, but dragging large luggage or walking in the rain might feel a bit inconvenient. In short, the location is highly central and vibrant, but it’s not quite “step out the door and you’re at the station” level. Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch. Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue. In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

GGuest UserNice experience!Overall I recommend it for solo travellers. The location is central and it is close to metro stations. Also, the bedsheets are changed everyday, you get clean pyjama and towels everyday. One thing that was annoying is the size of the lockes, it is very small and little bit inconvenient with the card sistem. Also keep in mind that you have to be out of the hotel during the certain hours due to cleaning.

PPrincessPattingThe room was perfect for our family since everyone had their own bed. The beds were comfortable, which made resting after long days of sightseeing easy. The only downside was limited space if you’re traveling with large luggage. The hotel’s location is very convenient it’s close to the train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. There’s also a grocery store and a FamilyMart right outside the hotel, which was very helpful. The laundry area was another nice bonus for families traveling longer.
