This Tokyo trip's hotel completely exceeded my expectations. From check-in to check-out, I felt the staff's incredible thoughtfulness throughout, and I definitely have to recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Tokyo! The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the subway station. From there, you can easily reach popular areas like Ginza and Tokyo Station. There are also convenience stores, izakayas, and unique restaurants nearby, making late-night snacking or shopping incredibly convenient. The most pleasant surprise was how spacious the room felt for a Tokyo hotel. Through the floor-to-ceiling window, you could catch glimpses of the city, and the natural light was excellent. Inside, the amenities were comprehensive – the Simmons mattress was soft and comfortable, washing away all travel fatigue. The double basin design and bathtub with a temperature display were incredibly thoughtful, showing attention to detail everywhere. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; there wasn't a speck of dust in any corner, and the bedding and bathroom supplies had a fresh scent. The complimentary portable WiFi had a stable signal, allowing me to stay connected and navigate easily while out and about.

It's a compact hotel with everything you need, but seriously, it's tiny! The step up from the bedroom to the bathroom floor is quite high, which makes it really inconvenient to get in and out. The bathroom is already small, and then they crammed in a really wide bathtub, which I think is a poor design choice. It's hard to even turn around when washing your face in there, and my clothes kept brushing against the sink, bathtub, and toilet, which really bothered me. The front desk staff were very nice though.

Pros: Great location, close to Kanda Station and convenience stores within walking distance. There are also many delicious restaurants nearby. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly and explained things well. However, there were quite a few guests who didn't follow the rules. Even after midnight, they would make a lot of noise without any consideration (snoring is understandable). There was absolutely no sense of wanting to be quiet, haha. It was amusing that there was a foreigner who would lock themselves in the shower room to have long phone conversations, with a loud voice too, and with their room door wide open, haha. Well, in the end... manners are important! Haha.

The room is a bit small but I guess it is common in Japan, especially in Tokyo town. Location wise, it’s a short walk to kanda station and also a walkable distance to Tokyo station. Kanda JR station basically is good enough. Access to chuo line and Yamanote line. These 2 lines are good enough to go ueno, akihabara, shibuya, shinjuku, ikebukuro. And this station also hold the ginza metro line. And nearby otemachi station who has access to most of the subway lines. There are convenience stores nearby, 7-11 just next to it.

Although the room was a bit small, it was very clean. Toyoko Inn has been a well-established brand for many years, always located conveniently in the city center, not far from various attractions. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, and they even offer free breakfast in the morning. Absolutely great value for money!

It was conveniently located near the station. The facilities were clean, and although there were no seats available, I used the smoking room, but as a non-smoker, I didn't notice any odor. Breakfast, while not extensive, was delicious.

The hotel is quite close to the subway station, about a seven-minute walk. Kanda Station is very convenient for getting to Akihabara and Tokyo Station. I really like Sotetsu's pajamas; they're two-piece and very comfortable. The accommodation provides various disposable amenities, and it seems you can even request different types of pillows in the lobby. I only stayed for two days, so I didn't bother with it this time, but I might try it next time.

📍 Location & Accessibility This hotel’s best feature is its incredible location — literally a few steps from Akihabara Station (JR, Metro Hibiya Line, and Tsukuba Express), making almost everywhere in Tokyo easy to reach. You’ll find restaurants, convenience stores, anime shops, and cafes right outside. Its placement in the heart of the Akihabara electronics and pop-culture district is perfect for tech lovers and casual explorers alike. 🛏 Rooms & Comfort Rooms are typical of central Tokyo — compact but functional. Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a kettle. While some guests feel the rooms are small (especially with larger luggage), most find them clean and comfortable enough for short to medium stays. Bathrooms are small, as expected in Japanese city hotels, but generally well-maintained. ✨ Cleanliness & Service Overall, cleanliness scores high among guests, with many praising the housekeeping and friendly, helpful staff. Some reviews mention minor dust or cleanliness issues — like spots under furniture — but these reports are in the minority compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback. 🍽 Breakfast & Facilities The hotel offers a buffet breakfast with Japanese and Western options (for a fee), and there’s also a Denny’s attached for convenient meals. Other facilities include vending machines, luggage storage, a business center, and 24-hour reception.

Oh dear, I forgot to write a review, my apologies! This is my second stay at this hotel. Let me start with the conclusion: whenever you go to Tokyo or anywhere in Japan, if there's a Mitsui Garden Hotel in that city, just book it without hesitation. For the same price range, I personally think it's an exceptionally high-standard hotel among its type. Regarding this specific hotel, first, the location is excellent. From Marunouchi North Exit, it's about a 10-minute walk straight ahead, a very easy route to remember. The city views along the way are great, and there are various subway lines nearby. The room size is just right, and the facilities are perfectly adequate for a solo traveler. From the 6th floor upwards, each floor has vending machines for drinks and ice makers. One of the vending machines is specifically for alcoholic beverages, clearly marked. When I came in July, I visited them several times a day; this winter trip, I went less often. As for service, it was absolutely perfect... According to the policy of most Japanese hotels, check-in time is 3:00 PM. My Shinkansen from Toyama arrived in Tokyo at 2:00 PM. Since I had plans to meet a friend that evening and needed to shower and change, I discussed with the front desk lady if I could pay for early check-in. The result was that I didn't have to pay, and she asked me to wait a moment. About 10-15 minutes later, I was able to enter my room. I'm truly, truly grateful. Regarding breakfast, the dining area isn't huge, but it's one of the rare places that offers different food options every day. This means even if you stay for 3 or 4 consecutive days or more, you can still look forward to breakfast. So, if you're coming to Tokyo and need a quiet environment amidst the hustle and bustle, a comfortable room, and attentive service, I highly recommend this place.

Stayed for 3 nights and overall had a smooth and comfortable experience. The hotel is simple but very clean and well-maintained. Rooms are on the smaller side (typical for Tokyo), but everything was organized, spotless, and functional. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning worked well, and the bathroom had all the essentials. Location is a big plus — only a few minutes’ walk from Kanda Station, making it very convenient to reach major areas like Akihabara, Tokyo Station, and Shibuya. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with nearby convenience stores and small restaurants.

KkhosodaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was also delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal I had was satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

GGuest UserQuite a disappointing stay. I initially thought it was a Dormy Inn because the first characters of the name were the same, and it was also a hot spring hotel, which made it very confusing. The service here was a world apart from Dormy Inn. The room was incredibly small. The breakfast in the pictures looked very rich, and I thought it would be a lavish buffet, but it turned out to be just a bento box, and they didn't even provide cutlery. The price wasn't cheap either. It really ruined my mood. The hot spring was also tiny, and they didn't even provide hair dryers in the hot spring area.

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

GGuest UserHere's a review of a hotel located in the heart of Akasaka, offering easy access to two subway lines. It's a quiet business-boutique hotel with more spacious rooms than similar establishments, making it ideal for commuting to the city center or exploring Roppongi/Akasaka. **Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose This Hotel):** 1. **Dual Subway Access + Central Akasaka – Convenient for Anywhere:** * Approximately a 4-minute walk to Akasaka Station and a 6-minute walk to Tameike-Sanno Station, covering multiple lines for easy access to Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is about 45-60 minutes away. * Within walking distance of Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, and Akasaka Sacas, boasting vibrant shopping and dining areas. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located downstairs, making daily life easy. * The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a better option for rest compared to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 2. **More Spacious and Well-Designed Rooms Than Other Japanese Hotels in the Same Category:** * Standard rooms are approximately 15-18 sqm, larger than most business hotels in Tokyo, allowing two large suitcases to be opened without feeling cramped. * Comfortable bedding with memory foam/low-rebound pillows. Bathrooms feature bathtubs and smart toilets, with stable water pressure and temperature. Amenities are comprehensive. * Good natural light, with most rooms feeling bright and airy. Cleanliness is up to Japanese standards. 3. **Practical Facilities, Suitable for Long Stays/Families:** * A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 12th floor (washing 300 JPY/drying 100 JPY), and microwaves are on multiple floors, friendly for long-term guests. * A small, complimentary gym on the 3rd floor is a bonus for business travelers or fitness enthusiasts. * Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged, making it family-friendly. The front desk offers multilingual service, with fluent English, and handles luggage storage/package receiving efficiently. 4. **Consistent Service, Thoughtful Details:** * The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, responding quickly. Small items like chargers and hair straighteners can be borrowed, with some guests reporting feeling 'valued'. * Free high-speed Wi-Fi is stable. Some periods offer guidance.

GGuest UserShinjuku Granbell Hotel was my accommodation choice during this Tokyo Shinjuku trip. Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel. The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking. Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). For someone who enjoys walking, it’s manageable, but dragging large luggage or walking in the rain might feel a bit inconvenient. In short, the location is highly central and vibrant, but it’s not quite “step out the door and you’re at the station” level. Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch. Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue. In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

PPrincessPattingThe room was perfect for our family since everyone had their own bed. The beds were comfortable, which made resting after long days of sightseeing easy. The only downside was limited space if you’re traveling with large luggage. The hotel’s location is very convenient it’s close to the train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. There’s also a grocery store and a FamilyMart right outside the hotel, which was very helpful. The laundry area was another nice bonus for families traveling longer.
