Casa Faraona Luxury Residences

9.5/10
Amazing

I booked this hotel specifically to celebrate my birthday. Since there was availability, they kindly offered us an upgrade, so we were able to enjoy one of the suites. Despite being right in the heart of Madrid, the room had a warm and incredibly cozy atmosphere, almost like being at home. Every detail made us feel especially comfortable. The bed was enormous, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable. I felt like I was floating on a cloud! The bathroom was very spacious, and the vanity mirror had adjustable lighting, perfect for applying makeup. The room also included a sauna, a detail I expected, but it was still a pleasant surprise. They also left us complimentary candy and water. I don't know the brand of the toiletries, but they smelled wonderful. Overall, if it weren't for the fact that my partner broke up with me that very night, I would definitely book again. The location is excellent, right next to Retiro Park and the Puerta de Alcalá.

Hard Rock Hotel Madrid

Family Deluxe

Hard Rock Hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Atocha station. The entrance has steps, and staff kindly helped with our large luggages when we went inside to ask. The lobby looks trendy and welcoming at check-in. We booked a 4-night stay in a family room for two. Paying extra, we chose family room with two washing basins, as shown on their website and confirmed verbally at check-in. However, the room given had an extra rollaway bed set up and only one basin. After reminding front desk that we didn’t need the extra bed and specifically requested two basins, there was some delay—possibly due to language barriers. Eventually, the front desk agreed to rearrange our room. We appreciated this gesture, though initially the staff seemed reluctant, repeating “it is set up like that” and showing blank faces. I had to be assertive to explain that the extra bed defeats the purpose of paying more for extra space. Hotels should understand that some guests pay extra for bigger rooms without needing extra beds. Flexibility to remove the bed would improve guest experience. If I had known, I might have paid less for a standard room. In the end, they moved us to a room without the extra bed and with two sinks. While the staff handled this without smiles, they were friendly and responsive during the rest of our stay. This was my first time at Hard Rock Hotel, and perhaps cultural differences influenced the front desk’s reaction. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with tea, coffee, and a daily bottle of water. Though bar noise was audible from downstairs, it was not disturbing, and earplugs were provided. Housekeeping was always friendly and smiling. Overall, Hard Rock Hotel has excellent facilities. I’m unsure if I’d return, but the quality of the hardware is good.

Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport

Bit hard to get to/from the airport they do have shuttle services but its a lil tricky navigating the site plus they are only available between certain hours of the day. Its in the middle of nowhere. Just industrial area and other hotels. Which forces you to dine in, breakfast is decent, but dinner was bad. Feel like the food in general is cheap, but charged at a premium. Poor quality ingredients for what you are paying for. I dont expect a mcchicken burger at 18euro. I expect a real chicken breast. Not mechanical blended meat. Other than that the place is actually really nice. Im a fan of that Scandinavian minimal look. Next time i would actually still stay here but just taxi to a nearby restaurant or uber eats some nicer food instead of dining in. Staff were lovely and helpful. Decent gym too. They need slightly heavier weights but you can get a good work out with thats there. I may of got swindled as I ordered a double and they put the singles together. I didnt want to make a fuss but look out for that.

The front desk is fully automated. You pay the deposit via email and unlock the door with a PIN code. The room has a kitchen with very new kitchenware. We basically buy our own food at the supermarket in Madrid and then cook at the hotel. It's great and saves a lot of money.

This hostel offers a very good balance between price and quality. The room, bathroom, sheets, and towels are clean. The location is very central, yet it is completely quiet on the third floor. Check-in may be complicated for non-Spanish-speaking guests, as you do not receive any information prior to arrival. Shampoo and shower gel are provided. The air conditioning is new and works very well. This place opened in 2023.
