"This was my first stay here, and the only real issue was that the location is a bit far from the station. The staff were very kind. The only other minor thing was that some fellow guests were a little noisy, but nothing too bothersome. As I'm sensitive to smells, I really appreciated the air purifier and the coin laundry. The complimentary coffee and donuts in the morning were delicious. I'd like to try the cafe on the first floor next time. While some reviews have lower ratings, I think it really depends on the staff and guests present at the time."

"Shortly after booking, I received an email from the host inquiring about my arrival time. They provided check-in information the day before, which was very convenient and comprehensive. The location is a short walk from Ikebukuro Station; it's just a short walk through the shopping street and passes Chiikawa Park, which I always enjoy passing by.
The room has two floors. The bedroom is directly opposite the entrance; although small, it's just right for sleeping. Downstairs are the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. I really liked the bathroom; it has a separate shower and toilet area and a drying function, so the whole space wasn't too damp. The kitchen is good for simple cooking, and the refrigerator is large, which helped store our groceries.
I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Tokyo."

"I stayed for a few days and felt very comfortable; this hostel is pretty great overall. They have a buffet, so food is very convenient. The staff are all very friendly and patient when you have questions. Downstairs, there's a coffee shop and a water dispenser, which makes daily life very easy. The room was clean and tidy, and didn't feel cramped at all. I stayed in a six-person room, but there were only four of us, so there was plenty of space. The window faced the street, and the view was decent. Overall, it was a very reassuring stay."

"The location is easy to find, about a 10-minute walk to Ueno. There's a convenient Lawson right outside the door if you turn right. However, other guests are very noisy when they return late at night, constantly packing their luggage. The sound of suitcases and items being dropped is really loud. Even though the guesthouse clearly states quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM, some guests are inconsiderate. The noise starts as early as 4-5 AM, which is unacceptable. Friends, please take this into consideration if you're thinking of staying here. It's an all-female floor. Also, there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up to the second floor yourself – another point to consider. Slippers and towels cost 100 yen."

"The rooms was OK. But the noise coming from other floor or outside the door is annoying. Some travellers are just not considerate. Even in the midnight they can just walk like a T-Rex. When they carrying luggage and dropped it at 4am. And they making noise without hesitate. Other than that this hotel is good to stay. 9 mins walk to metro station. 3 mins to bus stop. 3 mind to convenient stall."

"It is close to Haneda airport and train station. There is sento nearby. The bed was comfortable, and it is easy to navigate. Toilets are clean.
However, there is only one shower on floor one, which can be inconvenient if crowded. Shoes are all over the floor because the area left to the entrance is stuffed with laundry and tools. The shower is messed in mold. Moreover, people keep coming and going all evening and night making it problematic to sleep. There are no earplugs. Walls are thin and despite warning some guests keep endlessly talking and use loudspeaker (mainly foreigners), I don’t even mention snoring. The lock is the most annoying it always beeps and clicks. My 101 bed was the closest to the entrance making it problematic.
So, I don’t think I will stay there again. Better find a more quiet spot."
"This guesthouse had a comfortable, family-like atmosphere, and I really appreciated the kindness of Boss and Haru. I'll definitely go back! It's also not far from the station, which made getting around very convenient."

"ok so i did find communication prior to checking in questionable and a tad confusing.. nonetheless, i couldnt recommend this place enough.
location was perfect. no notes.
the pictures are accurate.
room was clean and had all the amenities needed.
my only comment would be how thin the walls are. you will be able to hear others entering, moving around/shuffling their luggage and footsteps - BUT that is out of the owners control. so it really depends on whose staying within the property.
overall, i wouldnt hesitate booking the stay again. in fact i wanted to extend my booking but they were all booked out </3"
