Hotel near Ancient City Tourist Cultural Area,Datong
Datong RenYi Inn (Kind and Justice) is located in the center of Datong Tourist Scenic Area. The hotel is backed by PanJiaYuan Market of Datong, China. You will definitely enjoy the traditional Chinese antique market and Chinese culture. The transportation is very convenient. You can reach the antique market by 2 minutes walk. You can easily reach famous AAAA-Class Tourist Areas by 5 minutes walk. Such as: Huayan Monastery, The Forbidden City - Nine Dragons Wall, Fahua Temple, Yuantong Temple and so on. The courtyard is equipped with rockery, glass roof, planting flowers and plants, feeding birds and fish, and the traditional courtyard makes you feel the charm of Datong ancient city. The rooms of Renyi are mainly Chinese-style duplex rooms. They are also equipped with high-end furnitures and tasteful decoration, it will bring you a comfortable stay.

"Stepping into Datong Ancient City in the afternoon, the first pleasant surprise was stumbling upon Renyi Inn. The inn's antique courtyard, adorned with carved beams and painted rafters, and warm red lanterns, instantly brought a sense of calm. The family who runs the inn is incredibly humble and kind, their conversations warm and thoughtful, making you feel right at home. What's even more admirable is their exceptional care for animals; the inn is like a mini-zoo. They treat every little creature with gentleness and patience, which in turn fills the entire courtyard with life and spirit. Upon entering, a majestic grey parrot, both poised and lively, greeted me from the front desk – I'd never seen such a large pet parrot before! Two smaller parrots chirped happily nearby, completely unafraid of strangers, lively and adorable. Outside my room was a small courtyard with two tea tables. After a 'special forces'-style day of temple hopping, when I was tired to the point of tears, sitting there enjoying a cup of tea was incredibly relaxing. In the adjacent fish pond, a dozen or so vibrant koi, each weighing at least two to three pounds, swam gracefully, their bodies stretching elegantly. Next to the pond, a large and a small tortoise slowly ambled, quiet and therapeutic. In a corner cage, a tiny grey squirrel darted around, agile and playful. As dusk fell, watching the lights reflect on the pond and listening to the soft sounds of the small animals, the weariness of travel seemed to melt away in this gentle atmosphere, leaving my heart filled with peace and healing. I thought this wonderful experience was complete, but to my surprise, a new delight awaited me the next morning – two peacocks, 'Wenqing' (blue and white) and 'Xiaofeng' (emerald green), strolled leisurely in the courtyard with their magnificent tails fanned out – yes, they even have names! The eye-spots on their tail feathers shimmered, as if they were wearing the entire starry sky, beautiful like something straight out of an ancient painting. For a moment, I couldn't tell if I was in an inn or a secret wonderland. Renyi Inn is far more than just a place to stay; it's a hidden gem within the ancient city. The harmonious coexistence of people and animals creates a warm and healing atmosphere, adding countless gentle and delightful moments to this journey."

"This guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! It's located within the ancient city walls, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The villa-style building is charming, and the bedding and bathroom were incredibly clean, dry, and odor-free. The hostess is wonderful; she added me on WeChat beforehand to arrange pickup and even prepared some fruit for us. She also recommended some authentic local cuisine. The breakfast was incredibly rich, with millet porridge, steamed buns, mantou, sweet potatoes, and corn. What really stood out was that the side dish wasn't just simple pickles, but a freshly tossed, refreshing vegetable salad! 👍 The guesthouse's location is super convenient for exploring all the attractions within the ancient city. I also highly recommend Master Chang, who the hostess suggested. As a retired military veteran, he has a strong sense of responsibility and meticulousness. Since it was our first time in Datong and we wanted to visit Hanging Temple, Mount Heng, Yungang Grottoes, and Yanmen Pass in just two days, Master Chang even recommended additional unique attractions based on our interests. He worked tirelessly to help us secure tickets and went above and beyond to fulfill our wishes in Datong, contacting people everywhere. After two days, he felt like a close friend, constantly looking out for our needs. He's a very enthusiastic and trustworthy individual who made our Datong trip truly wonderful and complete! I wanted to share this great experience and recommend it to anyone visiting Datong for the first time or planning a return trip!"

"Finally found a small but beautiful hidden gem in Datong! The wabi-sabi design perfectly hit my aesthetic sweet spot; every photo I took had an amazing ambiance, making it ideal for sisters who love snapping beautiful pictures. The room details were exceptional, from the curved walls to the soft lighting, creating a gentle and healing atmosphere. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the 'one-guest-one-change' sterilization tag made me feel especially at ease. Even the toiletries had cute, quirky blessings like 'sudden windfall' and 'rich and thin' printed on them – thoughtful little touches everywhere! I must commend the front desk lady! Her service was superb, so enthusiastic and considerate. From check-in to check-out, she made me feel as warm as coming home ❤️. The overall space isn't large but is exquisite in every corner. The rustic feel of the wabi-sabi design unexpectedly blends perfectly with Datong's ancient city vibe. Staying here was a truly relaxing and healing experience for both mind and body. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Datong, highly recommending it to all friends who appreciate unique quality and love taking photos! 📸"

Integrating the architectural form of ancient courtyards with wabi-sabi minimalism, this cultural homestay exudes a tranquil and leisurely vibe. Rooted in the layout of traditional Chinese courtyards, the project blends oriental wabi-sabi aesthetics with modern minimalist design, guided by earthy hues and natural raw materials throughout the space. The facade features blue bricks paired with partial eaves covered in traditional grey tiles, striking a balance between classic and contemporary architectural styles. The courtyard is paved with antique blue bricks, forming an enclosed natural leisure zone. Interiors are finished primarily with art paint, solid wood, handmade tiles and rattan. Classic Chinese elements including sloped roofs, wooden grilles and antique windows are reinterpreted in a modern style. The front lobby houses an integrated reception counter and refreshment bar. Accommodation includes zen single rooms, LOFT duplex suites and standard twin rooms. A no-main-lighting scheme provides soft illumination without excessive ornamentation. Leveraging the natural grain of materials, the homestay offers a serene mountain getaway where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly.

"The host was very nice, understanding our needs in advance and personally picking us up from the parking lot to help with our luggage. The room was clean and hygienic, the bathroom was very large, and the toiletries were of good quality. The guesthouse is located in a residential area with antique-style buildings, mostly run by guesthouses; currently, parking is available on the roadside outside the complex. There are many restaurants nearby, but getting breakfast isn't very convenient. The old town center is about 1.6 kilometers from the guesthouse."

"The B&B is exquisitely designed, and I really love the decor. The service was also excellent; we were greeted with welcome snacks upon arrival and even received a farewell gift. However, there were a few issues. First, the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, about a 30-minute drive from the main attractions. It's hard to find good food nearby, so we had to rely on takeout. Second, the room layout was impractical. I booked a suite for three people, and aside from the sofa in the living room, there wasn't a single extra chair. If four people stayed, there would be no way for everyone to sit and chat together. In the small attic, there was no place to hang clothes, which was very inconvenient. Charging was only possible by the bedside, and there were no power outlets near where the small table was placed in the attic. Also, in the bathroom, there was no place to hang clothes while showering, meaning everyone else had to stay in their rooms while someone showered. I almost forgot to mention that we stayed for two days, and after coming back from a day out on the second day, we found that the cleaning lady hadn't cleaned the small attic at all. She must have forgotten, but everything else was fine."
