"I've stayed on both the south and north sides of the island, and the advantages of Sacaya are clearly evident. Firstly, it's very close to the main street and 7-Eleven, making shopping, dining, and renting a scooter incredibly convenient, all within a few minutes' walk. Secondly, there are three pools: the leisure village resort pool and the beachfront pool, all perfect for a swim. Thirdly, it's very, very close to the beach. When I first booked, I couldn't tell the different room locations, but the bungalows and deluxe rooms seem to be the closest to the sea. Of course, it also depends on the angle; there are more reefs near the 'Love Tree' area and a long sandy beach near the bar/restaurant. Fourthly, there's a daily fire show and boat pick-up/drop-off service. Fifthly, the breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The service staff and the security guards across the street were all very friendly, smiling, and welcoming."

"The workers are very kind and helpful and the location is near from the pier and center and the beach. But the resort’s beach was not clear enough to swim and enjoy. Maybe because of that they made the walking blue isle. The room service offered everyday cleaning service the deluxe couple room was small beds combining two beds and it keeps separating. Pool was clean and the breakfast was not bad."

"Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. You can snorkel directly in front of the hotel, and there are more fish near the coral reefs, but I wouldn't recommend going there if the waves are big. It's best to wear long pants and diving socks to avoid scratches. The sand right outside is very fine and soft. Breakfast is served by the sea with ocean views. The bar street can get a bit noisy at night, so it might not be suitable for light sleepers, but since we usually go to bed late, it didn't bother us. A major plus is that the bedsheets are changed for every new guest. The room has many windows, making it bright and airy. The only downsides are that the shower only has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is a bit low. For shopping, try to go to the 7-Eleven on the main street, as the supermarket here is about a third more expensive. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for a relaxing holiday."

"I'm from Taiwan, and I brought my kids here to play. We lost our motorcycle key midway through the trip, but the front desk staff were incredibly helpful. They contacted the rental company for us, which allowed our trip to continue smoothly. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and everyone has a smile on their face. The pool is large and very comfortable. The environment is quiet, making for a great night's sleep. At night, there are lots of crabs, which was super fun. The sand is very white and clean. However, it seems like I was bitten by many insects in bed; my legs are covered in red, itchy rashes.... I recommend bringing long pants if you're staying overnight."

"This hotel tucked away down a side street off the main road is excellently located. Short walk to the main beach and nestled close to dozens of restaurants, cafés and bars. They also do a good breakfast for 100 that. There is a small garden with tables which is pleasant. You can easily walk to the hotel from the Pier ( 5 mins)."

"This became the best hotel for us in Thailand, and we've stayed in quite a few over 14 years of traveling to our beloved country. The staff are incredibly friendly, always ready to help at a moment's notice. Everyone is lovely, genuinely smiling. I haven't seen such smiles and shining eyes in a long time. They greeted us immediately by the songthaew, took our suitcases and bags, and escorted us to reception. When we left, the administrator personally walked us to the songthaew, and the staff brought our luggage. The rooms are clean, with daily housekeeping or upon request. Everything in the room is very convenient. We had a family room with a second floor, which initially seemed like just an attic but we ended up really liking it, although the stairs were a bit steep. The beds in our room were so comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The mattresses weren't necessarily soft, but I can't recall ever sleeping on such comfortable ones in a hotel. In all other hotels, pillows annoy me and I immediately remove them, but here I kept both – they were very comfortable. The veranda and the view from the room were like paradise. The cafe is wonderful, everything is delicious and fresh. Despite being low season, the breakfasts had a great variety. There weren't any pastries or desserts, but there were sweet dim sum. A coffee machine was available. We bought almond croissants; I can't say they were the best ever, but they were tasty. Two beautiful beaches nearby. We walked to Sai Kaew along a path through the mountains, a relaxed 15-minute walk to the mermaid statue. We really want to return. It's quiet, peaceful, and with minimal 'brothers and sisters' from China."

"“Good Location but NOT Good Service Mind” I’ve traveled to Koh Samed several times and usually like to stay at different hotels each time. I came across the good reviews of this hotel, so I decided to book it for my parents and me because the location is convenient. I’ve also visited the restaurant under the hotel several times for food and drinks. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The equipment in the room was quite old and rusty. At around 2 a.m., the hot-water pipe under the sink broke, causing hot water to splash over the toilet. We tried calling the hotel, but no one answered the phone, so we decided to walk to the reception. The way to the reception was very dark and quite scary. When we arrived, the reception was closed and there was no one around. Eventually, we found a security guard sitting near the beach and asked him for help. He came to check the issue and offered to move us to another room. However, we were extremely tired at around 3 a.m., so we told him that if the problem could be fixed, we would prefer to stay in the same room. When I checked out the next morning, I informed the female staff member at reception (the lady with glasses) about what had happened during the night. What really disappointed me was her first response. Instead of apologizing or asking what happened, she said with an annoyed expression: “He already offered to change the room for you, right?” I was honestly surprised by this response. As a customer, I wasn’t complaining about not being offered another room. I was simply informing the hotel about a serious issue that happened in the middle of the night and the fact that no one answered the hotel phone when we needed help. She then asked why I didn’t call the hotel. I explained that I had tried calling several times, but no one answered. She looked surprised by this, which made me wonder whether the hotel was even aware that the phone was not being answered. I would have been completely fine if she had simply apologized and explained what happened clearly. Unfortunately, her attitude and lack of empathy made the situation much worse. The location is good, and I’ve actually enjoyed visiting the restaurant here before. But good location and good food cannot make up for poor customer service, especially when a guest needs assistance in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, I definitely won’t come back to stay here again, and I’ll also reconsider visiting the restaurant. I gave 1 star on service for the staff who checked in us, she was friendly and helpful."

"It’s one of the great choices for a quick, quiet weekend escape in Samed. The other is Paradee. Overall, it’s a beautifully located resort far distance in a serene spot with lovely private rocky beach, but in terms of facilities and overall experience, it feels more like a solid 4-star resort rather than a true 5-star standard. I highly recommend booking directly with the resort if possible. Direct bookings include complimentary boat transfers to the island as well as land transfers from the pier to the resort, which saves a lot of hassle. One thing I noticed was the high proportion of foreign staff. It felt like the resort lost a bit of that local Thai touch you usually expect when holidaying on the islands."

"The staff at the front desk were lovely. They spoke politely, gave good recommendations, and were always smiling. The kitchen staff were also very kind and provided excellent service. The hotel has comprehensive facilities, is easy to get to, close to everything, and safe. The hotel also offers motorcycle rentals, which I recommend arranging directly with them for convenience. "This is definitely one of the top resorts on the island. You can snorkel right off the beach in front and see so many fish, though the price is quite high. Getting to the main street isn't very convenient; you'll need the front desk to call a car for you. But the scenery makes up for everything! It's truly a perfect getaway."
