A wonderful Place to stay . This Resort is awesome . Eines der besten kleinen Resorts die wir je hatten . Personal ist außergewöhnlich Freundlich und versuchen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen . Die Anlage ist super schön und liebevoll gepflegt . Kleiner , aber wirklich nur kleiner Nachteil ist die äußere Umgebung . Vorm Resort ist eine Baustelle die aber zu keiner Zeit störend war . Zimmer sind top modern und super sauber . Zum Haupt Strand sind es etwa 1 Minute zu Fuß . Zudem hat das Resort noch einen kleinen Privat Strand . Zwar etwas steinig aber dennoch sehr schön . Wir würden jeder Zeit nochmal buchen . Einfach klasse !

First, I chose Koh Samet because I asked a local Thailand friend which island has not been overdeveloped since my early days coming to Thailand in the 1990s. His response was ”head to Koh Samet”. I looked for a value hotel on one of the more southern, less developed beaches which led me to Wong Duean Bay and the Vongdeuan Resort. The pool was a big draw. With the low tide being pretty extreme, it is really nice to have the salt water pool to cool off in and swim laps. The food seemed pretty authentic to me. With mainly Thai visitors coming in on the weekends it figures the food would be good at the Vongdeuan Resort. :) The staff were wonderful and always so fun to share a story or two with. The beach area all along the bay was extremely clean with no plastic on the beach or garbage in the water. This is a big plus when going to the shore in SE Asian countries. There are several beach restaurants but none of them had loud music, at least during the weekdays when I was there. It is definitely a sleepy and peaceful place to enjoy the water at high tide as well as the white sand beach for walks.

We stayed for 4 nights here. The location was pretty good and we were right on a beach, which made it nice for swimming. They do have a great pool too. It wasn't overly busy when we were there. But there were large groups coming and going, but they weren't that noisy. The breakfast is basic, but you do get to sit out and have a fantastic view looking out over the bay. The only problem I really had with our stay was the tap water, there was a slight discoloration. I didn't drink from the tap anyways and also had bottled water. It is relatively private too. Our room was spacious enough and we could sit outside on the balcony. For me it was relaxing and in a good location. The staff were very friendly and happy to help.

This is our fifth time on this island and this hotel is one of the best places for a relaxing holiday. If you are not satisfied with the beach - at low tide the water goes to the rocky bottom, then you can find another beach 100 - 200 m away. The place is ideal for families with children - a shallow beach with a perfect bottom and a fence. There is a good swimming pool in case of a storm. Good breakfasts, however, according to an incomprehensible pattern, alternate between a buffet and a la carte. Very friendly and helpful staff. For a large campaign (family) it is convenient to stay in a villa with a view - you can combine 2 rooms in one villa, as there is a door between the rooms. For 2 people, you can get a spoiled vacation if you come across noisy neighbors, as the soundproofing is very poor. Then it is better to stay in a 2 local villa, for example tropical view twin villas. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the whole bay, which for some reason do not react to local repellents and prevent you from enjoying sea views from the terrace in the evening, so it is better to take them with you and in large quantities. I also do not recommend buying a transfer for the return trip to Bangkok at the hotel. The paper that they gave us was confiscated when boarding the speedboat on the island, but no one met in Ban Phe and we had to pay for the ticket again.

My wife and I stayed here with our 8 yr old son as a stop over on our way from Bangkok airport to Koh Chang. Just over 2 hours in a taxi from airport, then another 2 hours onto Ao Thammachat pier so if anyone is travelling to Koh Chang and don't want to travel in one go then this is ideal to break up the journey. Location is fairly remote but there is more than enough around you, eating, shops etc. Pools are amazing and the beach is superb 👌 Breakfast is excellent, everything you wld expect from a typical Thai resort (rice, noodles, curry, fruit, pastries etc). Staff were very friendly, we only had a double bed so staff brought a mattress for my son to sleep on, free of charge 🙂 This is a very clean resort and not sure how old it is but definitely has a feeling of being new. The garden area near pool are really nice and well maintained. I can't fault this resort in any way. This really is a hidden gem, what an excellent hotel. If we travel to Koh Chang again (which we will as its an excellent Island) we would definitely stay over at this resort, but next time would stay longer. It is important to add that I don't often leave reviews but this hotel deserves it 👏 Thanks you

Very close to the seaside, the location of the room is relatively secluded, the room is comfortable~ The toilet is very high, people who are not tall may not be able to step on the floor 😂 There are attached towels, bath products, and a hair dryer. Water can be filled at the check in place.

I have a place to stay. @tongtaphaview samed resort Koh Samet, Rayong Province, near Bangkok. I will tell you from the way to get there. We drive to Rayong, Ban Phe Sub-district, from Bangkok-Rayong, about 3-4 hours. Leave a car at the pier for 60 ฿ per day. Go for a boat ride at Nuanthip Pier. Normal boat round trip 140/person (30-40 minutes). , Speed ​​Boat round-trip 300/person (10-20 minutes). Upon arrival, there will be an entrance fee of 40 ฿ per person for the national park (just started collecting during the COVID period) and a minibus ride to the accommodation for another 50 ฿ per person. Although there are tricycle drivers to help lift things We walked a little bit to the accommodation. Upon arriving at the accommodation, the staff brought the welcome drink to serve (I'm very impressed here. The service is very good) The atmosphere of the accommodation is very good. Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

Nice hotel with large swimming pool. Perfect for family and elders.
