However you'd be advised to book a table as it's busy in the evenings and because of this the service comes under pressure. Good lunchtime food gives a welcome break from the beach. "The stars of this hotel are the staff particularly the manager, Act, who could not be more helpful. She made everything about my stay easy and stress free. The hotel itself is just across the quiet island road from the beach. Here there is white sand and crystal clear water. To the left is the busier section with all the normal beach activities together with bars and restaurants. It is just a 15 min walk into town this way. To the right the beach is quieter. If you continue along the beach to the right you can follow the coast path which ‘hops’ from bay to bay making for a pleasant walk. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. You are supplied with everything you need including snacks, beach bag, wet bag, beach towel and beach mat. I had a wonderful stay at Green Bay and thoroughly recommend it."

"My 5-night stay here was great! Very central location. Walking distance from the pier (about 8 mins). About 5 minutes to the beach. Close to all the restaurants, cafes, bars, 7-11s in down town. My room was very clean and orderly. Had everything I needed. Staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in the island. Highly recommended."

"The Ao Prao hotel is a gem. The tomyum soup is the best in the world. The property is immaculate and the massage was fantastic. Our room was 101 and the best location on the property. The staff is exceptional and will bend over backwards for you. Zann and Ti are so helpful. The problem is the pollution and trash in the ocean. The hotel is excellent but the water is less than desirable for a holiday."
