Malibu Samed Resort

This is a good low budget option to experience island life, but not that low budget £60 per night ( January 2026) We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well. The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay. There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely. Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage. Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space. It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV. The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous. Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality. However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently. Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai. Toast cereal and tea & coffee. The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

I had a wonderful stay! As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my visit. The environment was quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. The room was comfortable and well-kept, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The firework show was such a lovely bonus and made the experience even more special. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

I like that bungallow is in the garden, quiet place. Hotel near the beach. Good breakfast. in the room have everything. Not good WiFi. I don't like at all that in the early morning, when I awake, I see big bag on my chair terrace with things to prepare change in the room, after my check out. I was still using the room, check out at 12.00, please, do not put on my terrace anything. It's still mine, I want to sit on the chaif, why it occupied?

Nice location, beautiful beaches

Nice property. Literally on the beach. Entrance to the hotel is a bit narrow but thats all the entrance to good beach in this island. Had a pleasant stay. Very peaceful area and restaurants nearby

Friendly staff, ok rooms: looks like just painted. Beds were comfortable enough. Worth for the money we paid.

I had a really pleasant stay there. Looking forward to my next vacation at this hotel.
