"The hotel is well located and the room was clean. However, I felt uncomfortable during check-in because I did not receive a welcome/check-in bag while other guests did. There was no explanation given, which made the experience feel unfair.

"The hotel boasts an excellent location right next to Sannomiya Station, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The room was a bit cramped. There were English-speaking staff at the front desk, which made communication very easy. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out is at 12 PM, which is more convenient than other Japanese hotels. The breakfast offered a wide variety and good quality. The hotel also has fantastic views; you can see the ocean to the south and the mountains to the north, which is beautiful. "On my first visit to Kobe, I stayed at the Hotel Okura near the port. This time, I chose the Daiwa Premier in Sannomiya, and its location is fantastic – convenient for transport, shopping, and dining.
The breakfast wasn't overly extensive, but it offered both Japanese and Western options, and the taste was good. One thing that really puzzled me was the absence of boiled eggs, which is something I've never encountered in any other Japanese hotel I've stayed at.
The washing machines are modern drum types, very efficient, and even have a sanitizing function. You can pay with your phone. Even though there are only three machines, they're usually available as there aren't too many guests using them.
The separate wet and dry bathroom is excellent. Being able to soak in the bathtub every day to relieve fatigue from the day before is a huge plus for me when booking a hotel.
Overall, it's a great hotel and highly recommended. I'll most likely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

"Due to a canceled flight from Osaka to Sapporo, Trip.com rebooked us for the next day, flying from Kobe, and we stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel. It's an old, established 5-star hotel, over 30 years old. There are two daily shuttle buses to and from Osaka Kansai Airport, which is very convenient. It's right above Shin-Kobe Station, and a 20-minute walk to Sannomiya. The hotel breakfast was just okay, but the ambiance and service were excellent. Because our flight was canceled, I had to cancel a whiskey distillery tour scheduled for the next afternoon, and the hotel staff kindly helped me call the distillery to arrange that. The price was about a third of what it would cost domestically, making it fantastic value for money."

"Rooms are bigger than average Japanese hotels, basically a new hotel just a minute away from KOBE CHINA TOWN. Plenty of shops to enjoy food or shopping. Breakfast is a little simple Indian restaurant, nothing to choose much. Bicycles can been rent at the front desk for 500 JPY per use. Very convenient to get around the city.

"The hotel's location is great, very close to Sannomiya but not in the busiest area, so it's very quiet. We stayed for four nights. The first three nights were in a double room. Due to a change in our itinerary, we added an extra night. We thought the twin room might be more spacious, but it turned out to be the same size as the double room. With two single beds crammed in, the room felt very small and wasn't as convenient for moving around as the double room. We could open one 28-inch suitcase, but opening another 28-inch one wasn't as easy as in the double room.
The hotel staff were friendly and enthusiastic, providing toothbrushes, towels, and slippers for the child. Besides the kids' items, the room's towels, slippers, toothbrushes, makeup remover pads, and combs were replaced daily, and two new bottles of water were provided. However, extra water couldn't be requested.
The hotel also offers luggage storage, which is very convenient."

The hotel is located in Chinatown, surrounded by tons of great food options, and transportation is quite convenient.
The indoor hot spring, sauna, and bath facilities are absolutely wonderful! If you love soaking in hot springs and enjoying a sauna, you definitely shouldn't miss this. Soaking multiple times a day is pure bliss!
The staff's service attitude is great, and the hygiene and environment are also very good. Although the room size isn't large, it's really clean and tidy. The clothes and slippers provided were perfect to change into before heading straight to the bath!
Some of Kobe's attractions are also within walking distance. I highly recommend this place to all my friends!

Because it is not very large, it only has 2 indoor hot springs (but you can use the outdoor hot spring in the main building), and the indoor hot spring is relatively small. As for the food, the portions are not too big and the ingredients are not very high-end, but the taste is good. As for the service attitude, except for the female waiter I met when checking out in the morning, the others were good (the chefs were also very friendly).

Our traditional Japanese room was very spacious and had two separate toilet rooms attached as well as a bathroom. The view from our room was amazing! And sitting area before the huge windows even had a massage chair and a vanity. The shoji doors showed some signs of wear but everything were very clean.
Our kaiseki dinner was spectacular and incredibly tasty. But I wish there were some instructions for foreigners how to enjoy it properly. Our server didn't speak English and we didn't speak Japanese so there was a minor misunderstanding but everything was resolved 😅
I'm definitely a fan of such kind of a meal now!
We visited all the hot springs that are available in this hotel and it's sister hotel across the river. I liked the silver indoor spring in our hotel and gold outdoor spring in sister-hotel the most. Hot springs are closed after 24:00. And open from 6:00 to 9:00 nest morning. Unfortunately they are closed from 9:00 to 12:00(check out time) which make it impossible to enjoy them in the morning for those who prefer to sleep in((
Would definitely reccommend the stay for relaxing and luxurious experience.

GGuest UserThe hotel is old yet classic. Everything is in general well maintained, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The hotel may not be so accessible compared with those in Sannomiya, but the hotel offers shuttle bus to Sannomiya daily and Shin-Kobe on weekends. It helps you get around and go to the train stations. However, do note that the bus may be full sometimes. But even so or if you miss the bus, it won’t be long to walk to Kobe (Rapid and Special Rapid) or Motomachi (Rapid), depending on the train you need to take. I really like the view. Even the room not facing the sea has a nice view both during the day and night. The Meriken park is also just downstairs.
The hotel has a free self-service laundry and a Family Mart, but there are limited items to buy after 8 PM since no staff will be there. Another limitaiton is that the gym and the food service both close after 10 PM, if I recall correctly.

AAkanechongdianzhongLet's talk about the facilities. Honestly, after Hilton renovated and unified several Japanese business hotel chains, the facilities and hygiene definitely feel like they've gone up a notch. Of course, the price has also gone up a notch.
The location is less than 1km from Sannomiya JR and Hanshin, so it's not really far. It's genuinely close to Ijinkan and several well-known bakeries. However, it's quite a bit further from the shopping district and the trendy cafe area by the sea. I practically walked my legs off to see the Van Gogh exhibit, so the convenience factor was a bit lacking. Still, I'd definitely want to come back to Kobe because even if I walk my legs off again, it's not that big of a city.

AAnonymous UserAlthough the facilities are old, but the hygiene level is still neat, if four people live in a small room is super crowded, recommended to add more than 1100 HKD to change a larger room, but was full room can not be replaced, 1 parking 2 meals package includes dinner kaiseki cuisine, feeling is a super ordinary meal with the group, don't have any expectations, sashimi is not fresh, beef shabu shabu is delicious, but the amount is very small, if you ask for guests, it is recommended to eat outside before staying, casually satisfy your hunger to stay for dinner. Also, a free bowl of ramen will be given in the evening to satisfy your hunger.
