Hotel Okura Kobe

Great view both day and night. Spacious and clean room, free washer and dryer use, shuttle bus to/fro sannomiya station which has everything you need to shop / eat. Only thing is that it’s not very near by walk to anywhere. Walk to umie takes about 18-20 mins, even the nearest Starbucks also took us about 10 mins+ under the hot sun. Other than that everything else was perfect.

Overall, our stay was good, especially the location. The room is a bit old but still well maintained. However, we were not happy with one aspect of the service. A staff member (possibly a manager or senior from the F&B team) was not very professional and came across as quite rude. He physically blocked us from entering the breakfast area without listening to our explanation. We clearly mentioned that our friend was already inside and had a table, and we were just trying to confirm the table number. However, he insisted we go to Level 1 for breakfast and did not allow us to explain further. We had to go back and forth between the lift, trying to contact our friend, which was quite frustrating. Only after we showed him a photo did he finally allow us to enter. What surprised us most was that the restaurant was actually quite empty, with many available tables. We don’t understand why we were told it was full and asked to go elsewhere. We hope the hotel can improve staff communication and professionalism to avoid similar situations in the future.

Very nice hotel right at the Kobe bay, room size is great with beautiful harbour view. Location is excellent with plenty restaurants around. Free shuttle bus is handy to JR station

This is a great family-friendly hotel, featuring both indoor and outdoor playgrounds that are perfect for kids. The breakfast is good and offers a satisfying start to the day. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Meriken Park, making it ideal for a relaxing stroll or sightseeing. It also provides a shuttle service to and from Sannomiya. Do note that the pick-up and drop-off points are at different locations, and the shuttle bus departs punctually. The room is spacious, which adds to the overall comfort of the stay.
