"Booked this hotel to see the Atami Fireworks Festival, and it was pretty good value. Since our room didn't have a sea view, the front desk gave us two tickets to watch the fireworks from the rooftop. The room was clean, just a bit small. Slippers were reusable, but they provided disposable towels, two per person, along with skincare products and hair oil. The stay included breakfast and dinner for two, which was enough to fill us up, and featured some local specialties like Atami pudding and ice cream. Getting a taxi was difficult; we needed help from the front desk (some staff weren't very helpful; they said they'd call a taxi for us but didn't, so we ended up taking the hotel shuttle to Atami Station to catch one)."

"We managed to book the family suite we had our hearts set on, and the ocean views from the two large windows were absolutely breathtaking. The hotel boasts a charming retro Showa-era ambiance; despite renovations, its historical character shines through everywhere. We only had a chance to visit one of the public baths, and the outdoor bath there offered a truly spectacular view. We also booked a private onsen, where you could enjoy soaking while indulging in ice cream. We had the second dinner seating, so some dishes were already finished. I highly recommend making your own kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) with ingredients like tuna, trout, and sweet shrimp, and then pouring dashi broth over it to turn it into chazuke. After dinner, you can explore the game corner and KTV, but do note that playing games and karaoke are not free. The hotel itself is quite expansive, so I recommend taking some time to explore all its corners. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment!"

Taking a taxi from Atami Station to the hotel is free, and the taxi back to the station from the hotel is also free, which completely eliminates the hassle of lugging suitcases around. "An amazing place to stay with a location which is near lots of restaurants and even a grocery store. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also there are private hot springs on the top floor which are constantly available and free to use! Loved this hotel very much and it made the stay at Atami very magical and memorable. "This was a very pleasant experience. I stayed alone for 4 days. Every day before going out, at breakfast time, and before returning to the room after returning at night, I would chat with the Chinese staff lady (I called her sister when we first met because she was really very young). She was very warm and considerate, well-educated and very professional. I looked forward to seeing her every day. Another Japanese staff member was a very cute boy. Although we didn't speak the language, he was very patient waiting for me to type and ask questions. He would proudly tell me how he solved the small problem in my room. Songyue is very close to Kinomiya Shrine, and I would go there to sit before returning at night. It is a little far from Atami Station. Google even gave a road that required carrying a suitcase down the stairs (in fact, you can get there by walking a little further forward). Moreover, Kinomiya Station, which is one stop more than Atami Station, is closer to Songyue. It is recommended that if you don't have much luggage, you can also go from Atami Station to Kinomiya Station, which will be much more convenient. The room is very quiet, very clean and comfortable. The hot spring water is next to the room. It comes from Kinomiya Shrine, which is very comfortable. The only disadvantage may be that the geographical location affects the poor wifi signal. I sincerely hope that I can have the opportunity to come to Songyue again soon, and choose a season with fireworks festivals, plum gardens blooming, or fireflies!"
