Hotel Resorpia Atami

This is an older-style onsen hotel by the sea, great for ocean views. I heard it's the best hotel to watch the fireworks display from. The transportation isn't super convenient; it's about a 15-minute walk from Atami Station. Almost all rooms offer sea views. The hot springs on the 5th floor for women only have two pools, so there isn't much variety. They gave me a free drink voucher for unlimited sodas and coffee. At check-in, I booked the shuttle service for the next day, which took me directly to Atami Station – very convenient.

Hotel 1973, though old, is clean and well-maintained. You can enjoy a bath every day, and the free shuttle bus to and from the station is super convenient. The balcony with a sea view is a real bonus – it's so easy to set an alarm, open the curtains, and capture the sunrise in the morning! 🌅

Great sea view and a rich breakfast. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the soundproofing of the room's doors and windows isn't great, so you can really hear the loud waves. Despite that, the comfort level is still very good.

This hotel was so bad it compelled me to write my very first review. I arrived at night with heavy luggage, only to find there was no elevator. The moment I stepped into the room, I was hit with a damp, moldy smell – I felt like I was going to grow spores in my nose if I took another breath. The entire hotel's facilities were old and run-down, and there were even cockroaches in the bathroom! Plus, there was an unidentifiable liquid on the pillows, and the soundproofing was terrible. I only stayed one night and didn't even bother with the other two nights I'd booked; I just left. In short, it was awful. Don't come here.

The hotel is really big and clean. I was a bit worried about the facilities being old before my trip, but I shouldn't have been. The bathroom in the room is a bit small, but there's a large public bath on the fifth floor which was very comfortable. Excellent value for money!
