"At the reception, one staff member appeared available but didn’t assist me, while she helped the next guest immediately. Around checkout time, everyone needs to use the elevator to checkout but the elevator was slow and sometimes occupied by housekeeping staff. I wonder why they cannot wait for just few minutes...h"

"The room was spacious and the heating worked very well. The key was unique, but the facilities were a bit old. The shower curtain didn't really keep the water in, so the bathroom floor got very wet. The courtyard next to the room was quite nice. Room 509 is actually on the ground floor. I also got bitten by mosquitoes at night, but luckily I managed to kill them quickly. The front desk had a peculiar process: when I checked in, they asked for my credit card to register the number. The next day when I checked out, I inquired about it and was told it was to prevent guests from forgetting to pay city taxes or other fees after leaving. They also assured me that the card information would be deleted later and not to worry."

"Friendly Staff and Great Tips for Visiting Venice We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Centrale. What really made the experience special was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They kindly explained to us the easiest way to visit Venice without driving into the city. Instead of driving and paying expensive parking fees in Venice (which can be at least €25 or more), they suggested taking Bus 7 or 7E, which goes directly to Venice with the last stop near the main area. The journey only takes about 20 minutes, making it very convenient. They also recommended a nearby parking area costing around €12, which saved us quite a bit. The hotel itself is comfortable and practical. The room was a good size with everything we needed, including a nice hot shower after a long day of travel. Breakfast was good, and the hotel seems quite popular. There is also a little shop just next door so you can just buy whatever that you need. The surrounding town is simple, but the hotel’s location is very convenient for visiting Venice. We also appreciated that dogs are allowed, which made traveling with our pet much easier. Overall, the friendly service and helpful local advice made a big difference to our stay."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, just a five-minute walk to the left after exiting Venezia S. Lucia train station on Venice's main island. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is plentiful, with a great view of the canal from the restaurant. The only minor issue is that you have to walk down half a flight of stairs after getting out of the elevator, but everything else was perfect."

"Absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, less than 100 meters from Mestre train station – practically just across the street. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. I even left my earbuds behind when checking out, and the owner remembered and kept them for me 🥲. The facilities are all new, they even provide disposable slippers and bottled water, and it's genuinely spotless. I've always stayed in hotels run by Europeans before, and there's always some 'unpleasant surprise' – either mysterious hair or unidentifiable stains. I'm really touched by how clean this place is; you really can't beat a guesthouse run by fellow Chinese!"

"This hotel offers excellent value for money overall. It's a rare find in Europe to get such a good experience at an affordable price. The location is a major plus, right next to the train station, and just a 10-minute ride to the island, making travel and transfers incredibly convenient. There are also many Chinese shops and restaurants in the surrounding streets, so daily dining and shopping are very easy. The front desk staff are all Chinese, so there were no language barriers, making inquiries and check-in/check-out smooth and hassle-free. The guest rooms are new and well-equipped, with essential items like tissues fully stocked, showing great attention to detail. During the evenings, the accommodation environment was quiet and free from noise, allowing for peaceful rest. Considering the prime location, comfortable lodging, and great service, my overall stay was very pleasant and I highly recommend it."

"Pros: (1) The location is super convenient, quite close to Venezia Mestre train station (after exiting the platform, head towards the higher-numbered platform via the underpass). It's less than a 10-minute walk (or a 5-minute jog), and there are some good restaurants nearby. (2) Breakfast was included, but we completely forgot about it and also didn't have time to eat, so I can't comment on the quality. (3) The cleanliness seemed acceptable. (4) The area itself is pretty quiet, but the room isn't soundproof; you can clearly hear noise from outside the door. Cons: (1) The space is very small; we couldn't open three suitcases at once. The shower area in the bathroom is also tiny; you have to stand in the tub to shower. (2) There are very few lights! Only the bathroom has a light. In the main room, there are only small lights above the TV and by the bed, so the overall lighting is very dim. Also, there aren't many power outlets. We had to unplug the TV, and even then, I think there were only two outlets available."

"This hotel is too far from the beautiful Doge's Palace area; it takes at least half an hour to get there from the hotel, which is quite a walk. It's impossible to go from one end of the seaside to the other and come back to rest in between during the day. Taking a water bus costs upwards of 9.5 euros, which isn't worth it. I suspect the hotel management is boosting their ratings on Ctrip because the rooms assigned to our group of Chinese guests were either tucked away in the back, next to the linen storage room, or on the first floor. In any case, we couldn't get a peaceful night's sleep, and the noise started promptly at 6 AM. The shower head was broken, so only the overhead shower worked, and the room had a somewhat dark ambiance. Breakfast was decent, though."

GGuest UserThe room was a bit small. It's located on the new island, about a 10-20 minute walk to get to the main part of Venice and other major attractions, which includes going up and down bridges. Luckily, the paths on the new island are very smooth with no steps, making it easy to pull luggage. The hotel is popular and clean. Overall, I think it's probably more convenient than staying on the main island and lugging your bags around, and it's much closer than staying in the city center.

Although it's rated as a three-star property, keep in mind that it’s three stars in Venice—which is definitely not the same as a three-star elsewhere. The charm and quality here exceeded our expectations. You won’t find a lot of reviews about this hotel, but I did come across a YouTube vlog by a mother who shared her family stay here. She said it was a really good choice—and she turned out to be absolutely right! We booked a Prestige Room with Canal View and specifically requested Room 101, which we saw on TikTok or YouTube (can't recall exactly where). The photos already impressed us, but the reality was even better. The ceiling was much higher than expected, which gave the room a beautiful, airy feel. The hotel still shows older pictures online, with an outdated TV, but we were happy to find a newer TV already installed. The amenities were excellent—truly some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel of this category. Breakfast was on the smaller side, but absolutely sufficient. The cakes and pastries were quite decent, and having them in such a beautiful, old-style interior made it feel like we were stepping back in time—in the best way possible. A huge shoutout to the staff, who were all genuinely kind and accommodating. We felt their hospitality in even the smallest gestures, and it was very much appreciated. Lastly, the location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, close to everything. Being so near the heart of Venice made it easy to go out and explore, then return to rest and recharge. It's also conveniently close to shopping areas, which is a nice bonus. All in all, this hotel was a hidden gem. If you're looking for a stay that combines charm, comfort, location, and authentic Venetian vibes, this is a fantastic choice. That mother on YouTube was right—it really is a great choice!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to both bus stops and the train station. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, which is very convenient. AAifa Ain love with our stay, the nearest stop is rialto mercato, just 100 meter walk. Perfect location to visit the main attractions. you whether can use vaporetta (water bus) or walk to the attractions. They also managed to get us vegan breakfast on top of that, really appreciate this gesture. The communication is smooth. But the only downside is the did not have lift, luckily we get the lowest floor, but i guess nothing can be done because this is one of the oldest building.

The location is pretty well connected and i strongly recommend taking an independent bus, rather than their shuttle bus service - they drop you off by a busy road and the walk to Venice is not much shorter than the 20min one that you take from the Hotel to a bus stop (and it’s cheaper). I found it very disappointing that my message I sent 2-3 days before my stay with questions, was never read or answered. The room has all needed amenities, and is overall comfortable, however the only table is outdoors. The on-site shop is convenient, with prices not too racked up, so very reliable. However the Hotel restaurant is disappointing. We ordered a pizza and a kids menu burger and fries - the pizza was very average, but the burger was actually just the meat patty and fries?? While it was clearly called a burger on the menu. Additionally, it was neither cheap, or fast service. I’d say this is a good place to stay for a short trip to Venice, especially on the budget, but would not recommend using their extra amenities such as the restaurant or bus.

ЮЮрий ХлутковWe’ve stayed in many hotels and apartments around the world, from tiny rooms to beautiful villas, and this was honestly our first experience like this. We arrived around 2:30 PM, right after check-in time. There is no elevator, but that’s completely understandable for an old Venetian building. We carried our luggage to the third floor, and while my wife was speaking with the host, we suddenly found out that the bathroom was shared with another room. This was a huge surprise for us because on Trip.com the booking clearly mentioned private facilities in the room and a shower. Only later did we realize that the bathroom was actually outside the room and shared between two rooms, with separate keys for the wooden bathroom door. The bathroom itself was clean and decent, but for us this completely changed the experience. We have never stayed in a place with a shared bathroom before, and finding this out only at check-in was very disappointing. Another frustrating point was the check-out policy. Check-out was at 10:00 AM, which we already knew from the booking, but honestly this was only the second time in my life I’ve seen such an early check-out time — and I’ve probably booked more than 200 hotels. I think the only earlier one I ever had was 9:30 AM. I genuinely do not understand why there needs to be a 4-hour gap between check-out and check-in for cleaning a room that does not even have a private bathroom. On top of that, the host said it was impossible to leave luggage after check-out because she had “negative experiences” before. So after an already disappointing stay, this just added another layer of inconvenience. Other downsides: * terrible pillows — sleeping felt like your head was at a 90-degree angle; * extremely poor sound insulation, you can hear literally every movement from other guests; * in the shower there was nothing except hand soap near the sink — no shampoo, no conditioner, no basic amenities. Positive points: * very good location; * the room itself was clean; * coffee was available in the room. Unfortunately, the bathroom situation completely overshadowed all the positives for us. Because of that, I would rate this place 2/5.

Since the rooms are in different buildings, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, which completely ruined my experience as someone trying to work and travel at the same time.

GGuest UserWe arrived at the most expensive hotel (AU$1600 for 3nts, 2 adults) we had ever stayed at, there was no lift to our room on the 1st floor. I struggled to carry 2 suitcases with no assistance from the gentleman in reception up to the 1st-floor room. This would be very difficult if we were older & unable to carry our cases. The wi-fi didn't work in the bedrooms only in the public areas - even though we were told it would. The bedroom had multiple squashed mosquitos on the walls next to the bed. The lace curtain had a couple of cigarette burns on it. The bedcover had a cigarette burn on it. The telephone handset cable was not connected to the .telephone - I tried to fix it but it wouldn't stay in the socket. The safe was not working. The instructions to use the safe were so old & worn out you couldn't read them. The shower wouldn't work properly, so I had to call the person in reception to assist us in getting it working. You had to get out of the shower cubicle to retrieve shower gel/shampoo/soap. There was nowhere in the shower to put these items. There was no room in the shower at all. I moved the stool in the bathroom to put my shower gel on it & two legs fell off the stool. The toilet roll holder wouldn't hold the toilet roll and it kept falling off. The bathroom bin was broken and filthy The breakfast ran until 10 am, the bread ran out & was not replaced & this was before 9 am. I am a travel agent & book many guests to stay in cities around the world including Venice I was upset that this hotel was an extremely poor standard and felt like it ruined the end of my beautiful holiday in Italy. We would be extremely grateful if you could offer us a credit for our next hotel booking with trip.com, we are in the process of booking our November Asia tour. Kindest regards

AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
