"Opted for an outer island stay in Venice, and Plaza Hotel Mestre is directly opposite Mestre train station. It seemed quite popular. Check-in and check-out were smooth; we arrived at noon and were given our room right away. The room was spacious and comfortable, with two 1.5-meter beds and cozy bedding, plus all the basic amenities. The towels were clean, and disposable slippers were provided, though the toiletries were basic. Our street-facing room had a bit of noise at night, but it was tolerable. There's an elevator for convenience. The Western breakfast was filling, with delicious bacon, and the coffee machine offered hot milk and hot water, perfect for those with thermos flasks to refill. Bus No. 2 right outside the hotel made getting to and from the island very convenient. Around the hotel, there's a Chinese supermarket and a Sichuan restaurant that were surprisingly good, affordable, and without any unpleasant surprises. I'd highly recommend this hotel for independent travelers. Venice is truly beautiful! 👍"

"This is a hostel, and I thought it was a mix of hostel and hotel, but it turned out to be all hostel rooms. The facilities are basic and limited. The four-person room I booked wasn't available, so I got a free upgrade to a six-person room, which just meant an extra bunk bed. It's not bad, just not what I expected. If you're okay with hostels, then it's fine. The location is excellent, very convenient for transport. It's close to Venezia Mestre train station, just a ten-minute walk to get inside."

"Hotel is amazingly located between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks, it’s also 4 min walk to the Academia bridge and water bus stop. Staff were very friendly on check in, for breakfast and at the bar. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of cold and some hot options, defiantly something for everyone. Our room was quite small but when in Venice I wouldn’t expect to be in the room for much more than sleeping!!!"

"Close to Piazzale Roma, you dont need to carry you lagguges so far if you park your car on Municipale Parking or Tronccetto or if you travel by train you dont need cross even this one bridge :) . Hotel is on via Spagna is commercial street so crowded but is close to Ferrovia. Hotel is in old building Pallacco in Venetian Style. Rooms are in Venetian Style also, cossy, but on minimum, in fotos it looks little beter. Aroud you have all you need shops, restaraunts, etc, so no problem, Vapporetto Stop is just right the corner. To Piazzale San Marco is about 40 minutes (via Realto), or 50 minutes (via Academia) by foot, even beter by foot than via Vaporetto, you vist Venezia. Hotel service is very nice and helpful, breakfast is very good and has a lot of meals."

"I recently stayed at Hilton Molino Stucky Venice. While the location is not bad and the hotel provides a shuttle to San Marco for €15 per person per stay, I found the overall experience disappointing. The hotel rates are quite high, so I expected adequate facilities, but unfortunately, this was not the case. I specifically chose this hotel for the swimming pool and sauna. The hotel’s description stated that the swimming pool is open from May to September, but it was actually closed during my stay. Additionally, the sauna is not free to use. This was very disappointing and not what I expected. Overall, the experience did not match the price paid, and I will not book this hotel again."

"The triple room has an extra bed. The hotel is relatively new and a little far away. It is very quiet at night, but there are many good restaurants along the way. The hotel breakfast is also delicious. If you are carrying your luggage and walking to the hotel from the train station, it is recommended that you cross the river on the bridge (the stairs are shorter) first. The bridge closest to the hotel has higher stairs and is not convenient for carrying luggage. The nearest boat station sometimes requires a long wait, so you can try other boat stations, but it is also possible to just walk to St. Mark's Square in the same 30 minutes... and enjoy the scenery along the way. Apart from the transportation, the overall hotel experience is still very good."

AAnonymous UserThe antique hotel in the scenic area has two routes to reach the hotel from the train station. Turn left at the train station and cross a bridge. Turn right and cross three bridges. It takes 10 minutes to walk. It is more friendly for people with large suitcases. The door is relatively hidden. There is a Chinese-run supermarket next to it, and the room facilities have a sense of history. When I checked in, the boss was very enthusiastic to help carry my luggage upstairs, and introduced how to buy tickets, take the water bus to various attractions, and take a boat to watch the sunset at dusk.

YYunyanThe hotel is about 5-8 mins walk from the Mestre station which is convenient. There's an Asian supermarket nearby and opens until late, it is easy to grab cold drinks and snacks (we visited in June with heat wave in Italy). The hotel has a fitness centre which my husband loves it. If you would like to visit the main island, it needs to take a train from Mestre station to Santa Lucia station for about 10 mins. Unless you have the Trenitalia smartphone app to buy the train ticket online (Italo train does not run this route, Trainline app requires a relatively high handling charge), need to line up at the vending machine to buy the train tickets. There's a big restaurant opposite to the hotel which provides all day dining from breakfast to gelato. There are a few bus routes from Mestre to the airport, all stops are near to the hotel, you could choose the one with the right budget and duration. Be reminded to register to waive the Venice access fee (EUR5.00) if you plan to visit the main island during peak days, check with the hotel for details.

GGuest UserWhat a fabulous hotel perfectly located a block from the Grand Canal and close to both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square.  The receptionists are outstanding and answered all of our many questions with comprehensive answers, patience and respect. Can’t rave enough about them.  The rooms are even prettier than indicated on line, with plush bedding, a large bathroom and plenty of space. Breakfast was convenient and offered a large variety of choices. Service was also exceptional. Without question - you will enjoy this full service hotel. As a bonus, there is also an elevator so you don’t have to lug your suitcase up the stairs.

GGuest UserThe hotel reception blamed Trip.com, saying they should not and cannot charge the city tax, and then asked me to pay again. Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel, but the reception staff need better training. When I checked out, the receptionist asked me to pay the city tax. I told her that my booking clearly included the city tax, but she kept insisting that what I had prepaid did not cover it. At that moment, I couldn’t find the booking receipt in my email, so I couldn’t show her proof right away. Because she kept saying I was wrong, my teenage son started to believe her and argued with me, saying, “If she asks for it, just pay, it’s only €14.” This was upsetting, not because of the money, but because it set the wrong example for my son. In the end, I paid the €14 again and then took about 10 minutes to search through my email. When I finally found the booking receipt, I went back to show it to her — proving that I was right and the city tax had already been included. At that point, she asked someone else for help (possibly a manager), and instead of apologizing, they blamed Trip.com, saying I should ask the agent for a refund. I later contacted Trip.com, and they processed the refund without any issues. I’ve used Trip.com many times before, and I’ve never had a problem like this. The real issue here is not the money but the lack of professionalism at the hotel reception.

Either way, the hotel is situated perfectly in front of the boat stop and boats run very frequently (only at night is the service limited from the venetian side, meaning one has to walk to F.de Nove, which takes ca 20-25 min from San Marco Square). Hotel itself has large rooms and all necessary amenities. Would certainly stay here again. Recommendations for improving: - more reliable hot water in the shower (water was maximum lukewarm in the mornings when we showered). - more check-in desks/staff - teach housekeeping to restock coffee capsules (we had to repeatedly ask)

The hotel has two buildings. Our room is located in 2nd floor of the other building. The staff helped to bring one suitcase and my son bring another one. The booking confirmation email said that check out time is before 12:00. However, the clean up staff knocked our door twice in 9:00 and 10:00 again even though we have put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. In around 10:30, the staff phone to room and said the check out time is 10:30. I told him the confirmation email said that the check out time is 12:00. Finally, we can still stay till 12:00. The communication is not clear.

Real mages of the actual room were not available / not matching / not updated on the online offer. Current images are the same in different room categories / price categories (standard room having the same images like triple room etc.) and therefore misleading for the customer. When addressing the issue, one staff member was helpful / understanding, one was absolutely not and tried to blame me as a customer. Room facilities were okay, hot water takes quite some time to arrive in the shower, shower could have been cleaner, view towards the backyard is very messy (which is a pity as the backyard and garden could be beautiful) as currently used as storage space. Bed cover was stored very messy in the wardrobe where customers also supposed to hang their clothes. Luggage storage was available, yet very important values need to go separately into the reception, food was absolutely okay for the price range.
