Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

My first time in Venice and I was very pleased with the hotel's location and service. Cozy, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, and beautiful surroundings! Thank you 😍

The room's location was decent, but since it's not on the main island, we had to pay €15 per person daily for the hotel shuttle boat. Also, the hotel provides NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! A small bottle of water costs €6, and there's nowhere nearby to buy any. If you don't want to fall into this trap, choose this hotel carefully! On our first night, I messaged the hotel asking how to get there by boat but received no reply. We ended up taking a public ferry and then lugging our luggage across a bridge. For guests who aren't strong, it's best to confirm arrival methods in advance! The most outrageous part was being overcharged €48 upon checkout. They charged me for another room's bill (my room number ended in 0, theirs in 6). The signatures were completely different, but they didn't even check. It took ages, and they had an attitude like they were doing me a favor by finally letting me leave. Absolutely ridiculous!

Getting around the island isn't very convenient. The staff at check-in were quite patient. The room felt a bit old, with some cracks on the ceiling. The bathroom drain had a bad odor, especially in the middle of the night – it was almost unbearable when using the toilet. We asked them to check and fix it, or change rooms, when we left. They said it was resolved when we returned, but the smell was still there. Dinner was just okay, but all the servers were very friendly. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options.

This is a historic building, over 100 years old. Walking around the lobby felt like visiting an art gallery, with so many artworks that constantly made me stop and admire them. It's a pity I was short on time this visit and couldn't stay for more days. However, it was a bit disappointing that the gym closed at 7 PM, so my son couldn't use it.

Overall, it's great! The only thing is you have to take a boat to get around, but it's perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. It's really suitable for families. You can book one king and one twin room and then ask the front desk for connecting rooms!
