"We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou! The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children. The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience! The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property. Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!"

The Scholars Hotel Suzhou Pingjiangfu (Shuxiangshijia Huisuojiudian Suzhou Pingjiangfudian) is located in the heart of Suzhou old town and handy for visiting the many local attractions and classical Chinese gardens found there. An attractive hotel, it features traditional Chinese-style architecture, courtyards featuring pools of water and sculptured rock. Guestrooms boast contemporary furnishings with traditional touches and all the usual amenities required for a comfortable stay.

"Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home."

"Came to Suzhou for the 'three-piece beauty treatment' and found this hotel, which is closest to Xiao Jia Xiang A'er Hair Salon. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise! The room was spotless, facilities were great, and the bedding and pillows were extremely comfortable. While the breakfast selection isn't as extensive as a five-star hotel, it has everything you need and tastes good. The service from Hua Hai was attentive and deserves praise. It's right next to the subway, and there are many local eateries within walking distance. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time – excellent value for money!"

"First, let's talk about parking. This is the cleanest apartment parking lot I've ever seen. Perhaps it's because it shares a parking lot with a mall, so the property management maintains the same standards? The underground parking entrance is only about 10 meters from the MixC World entrance next door, so be mindful of that. Parking is free if you scan a QR code at the front desk. Next, facilities. The LG floor connects the hotel directly to MixC World. Parking is on B1, the lobby on the 1st floor. There are many clear signs everywhere. I'm not sure if the entire building is exclusively hotel rooms, but it's generally clean and bright. The elevators have air conditioning, and the rooms come with a washing machine and detergent. There's also an induction cooker and other equipment, but you need to ask housekeeping for cooking utensils. I brought my own complete camping setup, so I didn't need to rent any. The fridge is huge, and the bathroom is pretty good; just a little water splashes out, which doesn't really affect the experience. Cokes and small snacks are provided. For takeout, you need to go downstairs yourself. They say the robots aren't used during peak hours, but I saw one robot that was a bit clumsy. It got to my floor, was slightly obstructed, and couldn't get out successfully. Then it pressed the floor button it was supposed to go to again. No wonder the instructions mentioned that during peak elevator hours, you could use the hidden public elevator next to it. Being a curious person, I used the service elevator from the start. It was just as clean as the guest elevators. You need to open a hidden door yourself (which is actually an emergency exit, right next to the stairs). About MixC World: The mall is a bit confusing, and the space utilization is maximized. Many stores have dead ends, which I mistook for passages. There's Hema (Freshippo). What's with that bakery that has a queue even on weekdays? The dining brands are quite novel. For entertainment, I visited the reptile exhibit. The bookstore is nice, with comics and some IP books and merchandise. Finally, the service. The front desk staff were all very polite. The breakfast was noteworthy. You can actually add braised pork yourself! As a carnivore, I added 4 pieces and almost burst. Other items were simplified, not many, but sufficient, pretty much what you'd expect from a 5-star equivalent."

"The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou."

Hotel near Industrial Park, Jinji Lake Commercial Area,Suzhou
Crowne Plaza Suzhou is a luxury cruise-themed hotel, adjacent to the beautiful Jinji Lake, via the exit of the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway Park, along Xiandai Avenue and straight to Xinggang Street. Leisure and entertainment facilities such as the trail around the lake, the Gate of the East, Suzhou Center, Hubin Xintiandi, Ligong Causeway, Suzhou Eye, the International Expo Center, the Cultural and Arts Center, the Olynpic Sports Center are within easy reach. The hotel has elegantly furnished rooms, full of modern atmosphere and cruise elements, with a panoramic view of the garden and lake. Sun Seeker, an all-day dining restaurant that gathers global delicacies, Zhen Hotpot, a seafood restaurant that uses signature spring water pots to restore fresh and authentic flavors, and Prince Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant that inherits the essence of royal chef cooking, present you with mouth-watering excellent food and considerate service. Taste the elegance of tea and the delicacy of afternoon tea at Fragrance tea house, relish the mellowness of wine at Mariana atrium lounge and the moving music of the resident singer. Here are completely different styles of places for you to rest and relax. If you like sports, you can come to the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, enjoy the beautiful view of Jinji Lake while exercising, and there are also well-equipped gymnasiums to choose from. The hotel's thoughtful parent-child facilities and services make your travel with your children easier and more enjoyable. The room can provide children's bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes and other children's products. The hotel has two indoor and outdoor Kids' Gardens. Inspired by the ocean, the indoor Kids’ Garden - Little Captain Club - brings extra delight and enjoyment to the time when family members come together for a vacation.

"Pros: The building's cruise ship-like design is highly distinctive and unique. Located right next to Jinji Lake, the entire building lights up at night, creating an absolutely stunning view when combined with the lake and the city's nightscape across the water. Evening strolls around the lake offer fantastic photo opportunities. The frontline staff are excellent. The doorman actively helped with luggage, and the front desk reception was warm and courteous, responding quickly to any questions. Cons: The family room was cramped, seemingly converted from a standard twin room. Due to the hotel's curved cruise ship architectural structure, the overall space was on the smaller side. After placing the beds and children's toys, the activity area felt very crowded. The attention to detail was lacking; there was no step stool for children in the bathroom, which is a noticeable shortcoming compared to similarly priced family-friendly hotels. The hotel has been open for some years, and the facilities are showing some age; the carpets in the public areas had noticeable stains, which was unsightly. During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the swimming pool was extremely crowded. Coupled with the pool's age and small size, swimming felt very cramped. I recommend avoiding peak times if you plan to use it."

"Extremely satisfied with the hotel's facilities, amenities, and environment. The entrance was a bit hard to find, but once on the 7th floor, it was a pleasant surprise! SShengsaerwaduoguojiaThe hotel is right in the middle of Pingjiang Road, making it very convenient for exploring this old town area. It's not far from the subway station, and there's a shopping mall nearby for some retail therapy. The room was clean, and they provided plenty of snacks and drinks. The service was excellent, and they even gave us tickets to a Pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing) show, which my parents absolutely loved. The only downside was that it was May Day, so Pingjiang Road was incredibly crowded. Coming here during an off-peak season would be much more enjoyable.

GGuest UserKimpton Bamboo Grove was my top choice for a Suzhou getaway, and Cherry arranged a garden-view room on the third floor that was absolutely divine – the view was incredible! My entire stay was perfect. The hotel, designed by SCDA, seamlessly blends traditional Suzhou gardens within its white walls and dark tiled roofs, creating an immersive atmosphere with beautiful scenes at every turn. The third-floor location was ideal, perfectly avoiding any obstructions. The panoramic floor-toceiling windows and private viewing balcony framed the central courtyard's flowing water, lush bamboo, and rockeries like a natural masterpiece. During the day, sunlight danced on the water, and bamboo shadows swayed with the breeze. In the evening, the courtyard lights illuminated the water with a soft glow. Sitting on the wicker chair on the balcony, sipping tea and enjoying the breeze, listening to the gentle sound of flowing water – it was incredibly peaceful and therapeutic amidst the city bustle. The 48-square-meter room was spacious and airy, with a new Chinese minimalist decor that was clean and elegant. The Sealy mattress was soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the oversized bathtub by the window, paired with Atelier Bloem bath amenities, made for a truly ritualistic bathing experience with a view. The first round of mini-bar drinks, capsule coffee, and local teas were all complimentary – attention to detail was evident everywhere. The staff were kind and attentive. It's also within walking distance of the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, making it very convenient for getting around. This hotel offers an immersive experience of Suzhou's slow-paced lifestyle. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou!

WWangxiaohuatongxueI will always recommend this place without hesitation. Suzhou is truly beautiful; every photo turns out perfectly. Since I was traveling with my parents, the front desk helped arrange a more suitable room, which greatly eased my anxiety. Fearing we might have trouble, the staff even personally brought the room cards to our room. Everyone was so handsome and responsible, and spoke so gently. They even brought me hot water and didn't forget to give me an extra bottle of mineral water so I could dilute it and avoid getting scalded. Oh my goodness, their warm hospitality made me feel so embarrassed! They truly embodied the feeling of 'home away from home'! There's a separate lounge area on the first floor, which is convenient for dining or meeting guests, and there's even a small play area for children. I'll definitely choose this place again when I bring my kids next time. Highly, highly recommend! Wishing them prosperous business!

AAnonymous UserI rarely write long reviews, but this hotel, at best, is a business hotel. Don't try to market it as a family-friendly hotel when it's clearly not. Just adding a few kid activities and a small train doesn't make it one. 1. The room had absolutely no children's amenities: no kids' toothbrushes, no kids' slippers. You couldn't even install a bed rail because there was nowhere to attach it. 😂 2. The showerhead was broken, with water leaking from the side. 3. There were only two extremely high pillows. Seriously, don't standard hotels usually provide four pillows? Two high, two low? I ended up having to sleep with clothes propped under my head. 4. The front desk staff (the guy with glasses) during both check-in and check-out had the same unhelpful attitude as a budget hotel chain's front desk. In fact, a budget hotel might even be more welcoming. If you don't want to work during the May Day holiday, just switch shifts! 😠 5. The housekeeping auntie definitely hasn't been trained. She was pushing a huge mattress and nearly hit a child while turning a corner. The only positive feedback I have is for the kind female front desk staff member who enthusiastically helped me find my lost ID card.

GGuest UserWe stayed 1 night in this lovely hotel on a Sunday night. We managed to check in early at 1 pm and was upgraded from the 30 sqm king room we booked to a larger 41 sqm room. The room is new and used lovely bath amenities, an Australian hotel brand. Our stay came with a set dinner for 2 persons and the food was delicious. The pricing in the hotel restaurant is similar or cheaper than any other regular Chinese restaurant outside. We paid the next day at lunch time to eat Chinese food at the hotel again as the restaurant environment is nice and service is good. They have a very well equipped gym which unfortunately we did not have time to use during our 24 hour stay. Our room rate included breakfast and the selection was generous, the only negative would be the coffee beans they used are too acidic but that’s a personal preference. The location of the hotel is slightly to 1 side of the Suzhou old city but some sights like 网师园 are walking distance. Suzhou city is actually quite spread out, no one location is best for sightseeing. The great thing is didi only cost less than RMB10 per ride from this hotel so it is still very convenient. I would not bother with the Suzhou subway, it is not as convenient as the one in Shanghai. Oh yes, the cable TV have english programming which is nice for a hotel in China. I believe this Artyzen Habitat brand is managed by the Macau Shun Tak group. Will stay here again for good value and service. 这个酒店非常好,值得回来再住。五星级的设施,四星级的价钱。

GGuest UserThis hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Pingjiang Road, offering a quiet escape while being convenient for sightseeing. The small courtyard feels surprisingly spacious, and the 'Love Museum' adds a unique charm. The rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The manager was incredibly helpful, guiding us from the parking lot and patiently explaining everything. The breakfast staff were also very kind to our children. SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.
