Pan Pacific Suzhou

This hotel offers incredible value for money and is truly excellent. The decor is tastefully elegant, and it's well-equipped with dining options like a noodle shop and a tea house. Plus, there's a side exit that leads directly into the scenic area. The garden views are delightful, and it becomes even more beautiful when lit up at night. I even had the chance to see a firework performance. This was definitely the best experience I've had in all my trips to Suzhou. The breakfast was also great. I expected it to be crowded during the summer, but the restaurant is quite spacious, so it never felt cramped, and they refilled the food promptly.

The place was incredibly crowded! Just look at this pool as an example. However, the hotel itself is quite unique, and the entire complex is beautiful, but the cleanliness was a major issue. Being an older hotel, the bathroom areas in particular had many unclean corners. Plus, on rainy days, there was a strong musty smell. It's also so big that it's often inconvenient and you can easily get lost. Even with robots for food delivery, it still took a long time to get our orders. Honestly, besides the scenery, there's no other advantage to this place.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The entire hotel was designed by Singapore's Temasek Group and is seamlessly integrated with the Panmen Scenic Area. The hotel itself is built around a traditional Chinese garden layout, cleverly concealing eight distinct attractions. Its back entrance leads directly into the Panmen Scenic Area, and with your hotel key card, you get unlimited access throughout the day, along with services like Hanfu rental. The hotel itself is impeccable, with top-notch amenities, including the pool and gym. The customer service staff are also very professional. I noticed many foreigners, especially Singaporeans, staying here. The only minor drawback is that the rooms are spread across multiple buildings, making the hotel quite large. On my first visit, it took me a while to navigate from the front desk to my room. Also, the front desk is on the 3rd floor, while the rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, which can be a bit confusing when coming and going.

Objectively speaking, the room view and hotel service were impeccable. However, it's truly a shame that such a large hotel only has one delivery robot. After ordering food, having to wait fifty minutes for it to arrive was maddening. The service department, though, had an excellent attitude. They gave me a coffee voucher and were very polite, answering all my questions. The second time, even though I didn't ask them to deliver my meal, they still thoughtfully brought it to me in advance. So, I think the human aspect of the service is quite good. But I urge the hotel's procurement department and management to approve the purchase of enough delivery robots to support guest traffic, thereby elevating the service experience. The experience at Rui Mian inside the hotel was also very good. While the prices are definitely not budget-friendly, considering the ambiance, the dishes, and the service attitude, I personally believe it offers good value for money.

1. The hotel facilities and environment are excellent, and the views are superb. You can enjoy the scenery right from the hotel, and the connected scenic area in the backyard can be accessed simply by swiping your room card. 2. The fountain in the hotel courtyard started running before 7 AM. I was staying on the second floor and found the noise quite disruptive. It started a bit too early and affected my sleep. 3. The staff's service attitude needs improvement. Upon check-in, I noticed two covered cups on the black cabinet above the indoor refrigerator. One of them had about half a cup of water in it, so I didn't use that particular cup. When checking out, I mentioned this to a young man at the front desk. I didn't make any demands, but he just said 'oh' with a blank expression, and that was that. Having stayed in so many hotels, this is the first time I've encountered such a cold response when raising an issue with the front desk, without even a basic apology.

The environment and location are good, but the interior facilities are really old. It's quite big and has a lot of guests. We mainly chose it for the outdoor pool. The Chinese restaurant set menu, however, offers good value for money.
