Location📍The hotel is right at the entrance of Shajiabang Scenic Area. It belongs to Huazhu Club with the Huajianting next door. The two share a courtyard. The children's playground of Manxinfu is also in the Huajianting next door. There is another Huazhu Club in the scenic area with a better price. Service: Smooth check-in, quick response, and children's toiletries and slippers are provided Facilities: The meal provided by the package is rich in variety. Coffee and bread coupons were given although they were not used. The family package in the package has a separate group purchase of 298, which tastes good. Breakfast is until 10 o'clock on weekends, with many choices and few Western styles. Let me talk about the points that I don't agree with: The fruit platter written in the 298 family package in the package was originally prepared to be packed, but the waiter asked if there were only 4 slices of watermelon. Haha, this platter... If you book a calendar room directly, you can upgrade the room, check out late, give souvenirs, and send bird watching coupons. There are none of them redeemed with group purchases. Bird watching coupons need to be bought by yourself for 50 per person😓

We had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝

The room facilities are incredibly advanced, clearly designed with great care, blending classical and modern aesthetics. The garden view from the window is as stunning as a scenic garden, and taking photos here is just as good as Humble Administrator's Garden. The hotel service was excellent, special thanks to Haitang and Canglan! We initially parked our car under the Crowne Plaza Hotel, but the staff helped us drive it up and park it under a shaded tree. They also kindly extended our check-out time to 2 PM for free. The hotel's noodle restaurant was also delicious, truly deserving of its Michelin-level Suzhou-style noodles. Hotel guests even get a 12% discount, and the staff even helped us get a queue number. Thumbs up! 👍 In the evening, we enjoyed the complimentary Martini special drink from the hotel. It had a very pure, authentic dry martini taste, and a drink at night was truly refreshing and heartwarming.

Clean, well-designed, and the staff's work ethic was excellent. We booked two rooms, and in one, we noticed a cigarette smell coming through the vents from a neighboring guest who was discreetly smoking. As we're sensitive to smells, the staff tried to eliminate the odor using fresh air ventilation, but it wasn't effective enough. They then patiently helped us move to another room (which was a higher category). The next day, after checking out, we needed to go to the metro station. The staff proactively offered to drive us there in an electric cart. It was a very hot day, so we really appreciated their help.

The room was clean and had a unique charm. The hostess was lovely and incredibly thoughtful. I've already booked for next year! My trip was a bit rushed this time, so I didn't get to fully appreciate all the creative touches at Zhoushuang Life Inn. I'll save that for next year's visit.

Hotel Indigo SUZHOU GRAND CANAL by IHG

As a seasoned traveler accustomed to high-end and luxury hotels worldwide, my stay at the Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal far exceeded expectations. This hotel strikes an excellent balance between unique character and value for money. I've experienced quite a few upscale hotels in Suzhou. For instance, the Kimpton Bamboo Grove offers a secluded, courtyard-like escape within the old city, while the InterContinental Jinji Lake and Tonino Lamborghini Hotel Suzhou primarily focus on expansive lake views. Each has its distinct selling points. However, the Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal carves out a different niche – offering unparalleled high-altitude views of the ancient city. This unique perspective, juxtaposing the modern cityscape with historic landmarks like Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple, is something other hotels simply can't provide. The visual impact upon entering the 46th-floor cloud lobby is striking. Designed with the culture of the Grand Canal and Gusu as its core inspiration, the modern space subtly incorporates numerous Jiangnan details without over-decorating, resulting in a restrained and comfortable aesthetic. The high-floor rooms boast expansive views, reaching as far as the Tiger Hill Pagoda and the ancient city skyline, with the night view being particularly spectacular. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep – a significant advantage compared to many street-facing hotels within the old city, making for a truly restful experience. The Shanghai Tang Jade Dragon toiletries have a sophisticated fragrance, and the first round of the minibar is complimentary – thoughtful little touches that make a difference. The high-altitude swimming pool and fitness center are also located on upper floors, offering a unique experience of exercising while overlooking the city. The top-floor Pier46 bar has a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual drink and unwinding. Downstairs, it's conveniently located next to Longfor Paradise Walk and Huaihai Street, offering a plethora of dining and late-night snack options. Parking is convenient for those driving, and getting around is easy. The service overall was professional and appropriate. It lacked the deliberate, heavy formality of ultra-luxury hotels, as well as the overly enthusiastic pleasantries of some 'influencer' hotels. Responses were prompt, and the level of attentiveness was just right. While it may not offer the endless water views of a lakeside resort or the 'a new scene with every step' courtyards of an old city garden hotel, it provides the unique experience of gazing upon the ancient city from high above, balancing quality and price. Among hotels in its category in Suzhou, it's a truly worthwhile choice. I was extremely satisfied overall, and I'd like to extend a special thank you to Sylvia from the staff for her warm assistance in coordinating and arranging the room. The room was exactly what I wished for, and my stay was exceptional. I am very pleased. Sylvia's service was thoughtful and thorough, taking care of every detail, making the entire stay comfortable and pleasant. This experience surpassed my expectations, and I plan to continue my stay tomorrow. I sincerely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Weekend stay at Four Seasons Hotel with family. 1. **Room:** East Wing with a small courtyard. The room was very clean, no mosquitoes or dust. Toiletries were complete, and the hotel offered a variety of bedding options. Room service was prompt. 2. **Restaurants:** We dined at two restaurants this trip. 1) **Jin Jing Ge:** Suitable for family dining of 1-3 people. Dishes were exquisite, but portion sizes were not large. Some service staff could benefit from more detailed training. Recommended dishes: Jin Jing Chicken, Jiang Bai Shrimp, Sea Urchin Steamed Egg, Wine-infused Pea Shoots. 2) **Yun She Breakfast:** The front desk lady had an excellent service attitude 👍. The variety and quantity of dishes were average for a five-star hotel. Recommended dishes: Smoked Salmon, Hot Pan-fried Buns, Eggs Benedict. 3. **Amenities & Services:** 1) **Travel Photography:** Photographer Mr. Wang had excellent photography skills and a great service attitude. No pushy sales tactics. You can choose shooting times and locations based on your needs. If you only want 3 photos, you can communicate with the photographer in advance. 2) **Bicycles:** The adult bicycles were quite tall, a bit inconvenient for women. The bikes were heavy, and the handlebars were difficult to control. Not recommended for beginners. It would be better if customers were offered a bottle of water and a towel when borrowing a bike. Suggest having a bicycle repair person to check the bikes when customers return them, ensuring safety for the next customer. 3) **Swimming Pool:** The outdoor infinity pool was fantastic, equipped with dining, swimming, and lounge chairs. Recommended to go early to secure a spot to watch the beautiful sunset. This sums up my experience. Hope it helps everyone! ❤️

🌐 Environment: Clean and tidy, with an overall Suzhou garden style decor. Located within the Jiangnan Weaving Museum complex, it offers a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. For weekend trips, I'd advise against bringing too much luggage 🎒, as Shantang Street can get crowded and the cobblestone paths are hard to navigate. It's a 500-meter walk from Exit 3 of Shantang Street Station on Metro Line 2 মেট্রো. 🍜 Dining: The hotel only offers breakfast, which includes Suzhou-style red soup noodles and small side dishes – quite exquisite. 🏨 Room: The family suite has a small living room perfect for tea. When we booked, they even provided fish food, as the hotel garden has a small canal where you can feed fish. There's a bathtub with disposable tub liners and bath powder. The toilet, shower, and vanity areas are all separate, ensuring privacy for everyone. The front desk lady was super helpful and provided great travel recommendations. You can also store your luggage after check-out. The complimentary travel photoshoot is perfect for family photoshoots, especially for families traveling with children~

The hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests. The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries. Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower. The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums. In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs. Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me. But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested. Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛) so this worked for me. I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help. There is also no laundry facilities on site. Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!
