"This hotel is truly fantastic! The check-in experience was superb, with attentive and detailed service. The room was clean and tidy, and well-equipped with amenities like a washer-dryer combo and a microwave. It was also incredibly quiet, and the soft bed was very comfortable, with two pillow options to choose from. There's even a terrace on the second floor where you can enjoy tea or dry clothes. The location is excellent; there's a bus stop right outside, and the subway station is just a five-minute walk away, making it only about ten minutes to Guanqian Street. Overall, this hotel offers incredible value for money and is an exceptional choice for any trip. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance! Highly recommend it to everyone!"

Tongli Lake View Hotel

9.7/10
Excellent

Took my kids to Suzhou Tongli Lake Hotel for a weekend stay. Their logo is a hoopoe bird, and the experience exceeded our expectations! The room was new, spotless, and thoughtfully detailed, making our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The family-friendly facilities were fantastic: outdoors, you can feed bunnies, and the kids' play area was clean and safe – my child didn't want to leave! The heated pool had crystal-clear water, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy. The buffet offered fresh, diverse, and delicious food with plenty of choices. On Sunday morning, we did a travel photoshoot in the Suzhou-style garden right next to the hotel. With its white walls, dark-tiled roofs, winding corridors, and ornate windows, every step offered a picturesque scene. It's a wonderful family-friendly hotel with a serene environment and attentive service!

We arrived at the hotel yesterday at noon, and it was still drizzling due to the white dolphin's influence. The outdoor pool wasn't crowded, and the kids absolutely loved the slide, going up and down tirelessly. From check-in to the staff we met by the pool, everyone was very responsible, patient, and incredibly polite, which made us feel great 👍. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and my child slept soundly. The carpet in the hallway was thick, so we couldn't hear any noise from the hallway in our room – the environment was truly excellent. This morning's breakfast truly impressed my dad and me. Not only was there a wide selection, but it was also delicious. I rarely overeat at a hotel breakfast 😅. The staff were very attentive, constantly clearing dirty plates, and even proactively bringing freshly baked xiao long bao and matcha cream puffs to our table. When ordering noodles, the auntie was especially gentle and accommodating. The young man making the eggs Benedict was amazing – so delicious 😋. After breakfast, we headed straight to the infinity pool and the kids' splash pool. We were lucky today, as the big sun made playing in the water so comfortable!! The pool is beautiful, and the garden environment here is truly lovely, making walks very pleasant. The changing rooms at the indoor pool were clean and fresh, with no unpleasant odors 👍. Alternating between the pool and the spa was also very relaxing 😌. The indoor playground was also good, with a climbing wall that even our older child enjoyed. All in all, everything was just perfect. We hope they maintain the quality of the facilities and the service awareness. The children loved it, and we'll definitely be back often to play in the water!!

Our villa had a king-size bed and a terrace right by the water. The room was spacious and well-designed, with all the amenities we needed. Elld at the front desk was always asking if we needed anything, and Chen Liang, the shuttle driver, was so thoughtful. He noticed I had a bit of trouble getting in and out of the shuttle and immediately offered me a footstool, which was really touching. The staff at the Chinese restaurant recommended a set menu that was delicious and generous; they even helped us pack up the leftovers to take back to our room and heated them up for us later that evening. They truly go above and beyond for their guests.

The front desk staff (specifically, a gentleman) was incredibly kind and upgraded me to an executive suite for free. The hotel environment is very high-end, and the hygiene is up to par. The room smelled lovely! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Suzhou. (¯▽¯)ゞ

A rather pleasant trip, possibly due to off-peak travel, the hotel wasn't crowded, which made for a great experience. I'd definitely come again if I have the chance. Facilities: Overall good, up to five-star standards, including a kids' club and swimming pool. However, the faucet in the room's sink was a bit leaky. Hygiene: Excellent. Housekeeping was prompt, the bathroom was spacious, and the room was bright and clean. Environment: Located next to Taihu Lake, waking up to a lush green view was incredibly refreshing. Service: The front desk staff and other employees were all very enthusiastic and provided thoughtful service. Our butler, Tommy, was very responsive, thumbs up! 👍

Let's start with the positives – the butler service was very friendly, and the lobby staff were enthusiastic. When I was leaving with all my bags, one of them even proactively asked if I needed help. The hotel room was very quiet, and I slept wonderfully, waking up naturally at 9:45 AM. It's been a long time since I've had such a good lie-in! Next, I really appreciate the little surprise the hotel prepared for our anniversary; my family was very happy. All these points deserve a five-star rating. Now for some personal suggestions. The main area I recommend improving is breakfast. Having stayed at various family-friendly hotels, from far-flung places like Atlantis to nearby ones like all the Kaiyuan Senbo and Giraffe Hotels, including other Club Med locations, this was my first time at the Taicang branch, and I had a poor experience with the beverages. On the first day, we went around 8 AM, and on the second day, after 10 AM, some food stations weren't open. Normally, everything is open during the summer holidays, but I'll set that aside, as every hotel has its own plans. However, let me address the specific beverage issues. On the first day, the freshly squeezed juice in the restaurant was consistently only filled to one-third of the glass. There's really no need for that; if people want more, they'll simply get refills. Two-thirds is a normal serving, especially since the cups are small. On the second day, I went for freshly squeezed juice at 10:05 AM and couldn't get a single cup; there were only a few scattered watermelon slices. The hot milk was also not refilled and was consistently out of stock. This really feels a bit stingy. The evening activities felt less engaging compared to Nanjing. Nanjing's activities had much more interaction. I still vividly remember children and adults gathering in a circle, singing and dancing together, everyone enjoying drinks, chatting while watching the show, and kids participating on stage.

Banyan Tree Suzhou Shishan

Banyan Tree, as always, is wonderfully secluded and comfortable! The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful. The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs! Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money! **Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious! **Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year! Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome. Looking forward to our next stay!

This is my second stay at the Crowne Plaza Kunshan, and it's fantastic! It offers incredible value for money, and the location is excellent. There's a direct corridor from the hotel to Jiufang City, which makes dining and shopping super convenient. The hotel staff are also very welcoming and friendly. I really like the decor style too. All in all, I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Kunshan.

Stayed two nights at W Suzhou. I highly recommend the lake view room; the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable view directly overlooking Jinji Lake. On a clear day, the water glimmers beautifully. There's a small island in the middle of the lake with a pagoda that lights up brilliantly at night! Sitting by the window enjoying the scenery is incredibly therapeutic; the lake stretches out endlessly. The room was clean and tidy, with a trendy overall design yet featuring subtle Suzhou-style details, like a pipa (Chinese lute) and guqin (Chinese zither) on the bed, unique to Suzhou. On our first morning, we went for breakfast. The selection was incredibly rich, with both Chinese and Western options, plus authentic Suzhou-style noodles like Aocao noodles. There were many choices at the live cooking stations, and the ingredients were fresh. On the second morning, we couldn't wake up in time for breakfast, so we contacted the front desk. They were very friendly and helped us communicate with the restaurant and management, arranging a refund for the two breakfasts. Overall, the experience was fantastic, a definite thumbs-up! Special thanks to our personal concierge, Heidi. I'll definitely contact you again on my next visit!

Taicang Karuizawa Hot Spring Hall

Very Good

Overall, it's pretty good. The hot springs are very comfortable, and the facilities are decent. The hygiene is also good, and the staff are all polite. The food, however, is very mediocre, so don't expect much. It's a nice place just for a hot spring soak. As a hot spring hotel, while it emulates Japanese onsen in form, there's still a lot of room for improvement in the details, which I've already discussed with the staff on site. I'd like to add two more points: 1. Please have staff regularly patrol the lounge area. The door to the smoking room needs to be kept closed. Otherwise, it affects the health and relaxation of other guests, as the entire lounge area is an enclosed space, including the smoking room. 2. Mobile phones should be strictly prohibited in the hot spring area and changing rooms. Although there are signs, some visitors just don't pay attention. The scrub attendant was very responsible; she immediately stopped a lady who brought her phone into the hot spring pool. However, she was busy with her own work and couldn't keep an eye on everything. Another three or four people came in as if to sightsee, all dressed and holding their phones. Even though they weren't taking photos, it created psychological pressure for those of us who were naked at the time. I really hope there can be staff to maintain order and ensure no phones are brought in. It's very close to Shanghai, so I can visit frequently for a soak. I hope to see improvements in the details next time.
