This Suzhou hotel provides free in-room Wi-Fi as well as parking on site.
"I chose the Hyatt Suzhou for its room facilities and architectural style, originally booking two nights. However, a slight hiccup right after check-in left me a bit disappointed. For instance, there were only two bathrobes, both one-size-fits-all and not very clean. My package wasn't received, and there was an inexplicable issue with not being able to charge food to the room. I contacted staff, but only the bathrobe issue was resolved. All other problems weren't addressed promptly or properly due to what seemed like a lack of communication. At that point, I felt this wasn't what a Hyatt should be like and was considering an early check-out with a very negative attitude.
Thankfully, Manager Peter Sun came to my rescue. He resolved all these issues very appropriately and even managed to get me some unexpected surprises. For example, when I checked out, I mentioned I wanted to store my luggage and check in again the day after. He said it was no problem, and when I returned the next day, I found my luggage already in the room, and it was even the same room I had before! This is something I haven't experienced at other 5-star hotels, so it was a particularly delightful surprise. Keeping the original room and having my luggage already placed made me feel genuinely valued, so much so that I extended my stay.
It was excellent. Peter Sun is a very clear-headed manager with strong professional capabilities and excellent customer service skills. Even from the perspective of a demanding guest like me, he was truly outstanding and deserves high praise. Having a manager like him ensures that even the most discerning guests receive top-notch service.
There was also a delightful staff member at the bar, Liu Tao (he didn't tell me his English name). My boyfriend and I ordered takeout at the bar, and he immediately brought over cutlery. I told him I wanted to write a good review for him, and he just said he wasn't really concerned about that, only about doing his job well. Very interesting!
Ah, after my first visit to Suzhou and staying at the Hyatt for a few days, I've discovered that Hyatt truly is my comfort zone. I'm very grateful to all the staff who served me during my stay; they were all exceptionally excellent. A special shout-out to them, because I feel like every time they heard my room number during my stay, they probably got PTSD. Their internal monologue was probably: 'OMG, that demanding and difficult guest is causing trouble again.' Anyway, they always provided me with excellent service in my presence, making me feel comfortable, which is very rare and appreciated.

JamesD_0918We booked one king-size room and one twin room. The hotel offers a complimentary photography service, which includes one person per room and three free retouched photos.
Regarding the parent-child activities, I must praise them: my son had a blast, especially with the swimming. It opened up a whole new world for him (he hadn't swum before). For a 13-month-old, expectations are low; as long as it's different from what they play with at home, it's a win.
The hotel's service is a major highlight. I'd especially like to thank Xiao Qiu and Chen Zhenzhen. They patiently came to our room for every meal to warm up the baby's food and bring it back. Later, when we accidentally left behind some baby pajamas, they even paid for the shipping to send them back to Wuxi.
With this level of service, we will definitely be coming back for a second visit!

Anonymous UserOur villa had a king-size bed and a terrace right by the water. The room was spacious and well-designed, with all the amenities we needed. Elld at the front desk was always asking if we needed anything, and Chen Liang, the shuttle driver, was so thoughtful. He noticed I had a bit of trouble getting in and out of the shuttle and immediately offered me a footstool, which was really touching. The staff at the Chinese restaurant recommended a set menu that was delicious and generous; they even helped us pack up the leftovers to take back to our room and heated them up for us later that evening. They truly go above and beyond for their guests.

Guest UserThis guesthouse is nestled in an alley off Pingjiang Road, offering excellent accessibility. It's close to bus and subway stations, as well as the Humble Administrator's Garden, with plenty of restaurants nearby. You'll often see young women in elaborate makeup taking photos in the vicinity, making it incredibly convenient for transportation, dining, and sightseeing.
Despite its small size, the guesthouse boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's well-equipped with amenities, including laundry and drying facilities, and even offers tea and pastry service. The young staff members I encountered were all exceptionally friendly, providing attentive and thoughtful service. Upon check-in, they proactively offered local travel tips, which was a huge plus. When I bought a beautiful bunch of lotuses during my sightseeing, a staff member even found a vase for them.
I booked a twin room, which was spacious, clean, and dry. It was equipped with a dehumidifier, perfect for the Jiangnan climate. My stay far exceeded expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Suzhou.

Regarding service: Our butler, Cindy, was always online and ready to help. The engineering uncle braved the heavy rain to set up the projector for the kids and greeted us warmly the next day. Xu Chenhao from the activities department was a warm and engaging young man, teaching us kayaking techniques, sharing the resort's development story, and taking beautiful photos for every family. The children's club staff were also very welcoming, inviting us to try out various fitness equipment.
Regarding cleanliness: Housekeeping was prompt and thorough.
Regarding dining: The Chinese restaurant was quite good. However, breakfast was a bit mediocre with limited options. By 10 AM, they almost stopped restocking food.
Suggestion: Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade from 2 rooms to 3 rooms, but then told the third room was locked, effectively making it no upgrade at all. They only reluctantly opened it after we complained. I suggest training the front desk staff on what a room upgrade actually means. It might have been better not to offer an upgrade at all if they weren't clear on it.

ZaituSonglaoshiLet's start with the positives – the butler service was very friendly, and the lobby staff were enthusiastic. When I was leaving with all my bags, one of them even proactively asked if I needed help. The hotel room was very quiet, and I slept wonderfully, waking up naturally at 9:45 AM. It's been a long time since I've had such a good lie-in! Next, I really appreciate the little surprise the hotel prepared for our anniversary; my family was very happy. All these points deserve a five-star rating.
Now for some personal suggestions. The main area I recommend improving is breakfast. Having stayed at various family-friendly hotels, from far-flung places like Atlantis to nearby ones like all the Kaiyuan Senbo and Giraffe Hotels, including other Club Med locations, this was my first time at the Taicang branch, and I had a poor experience with the beverages. On the first day, we went around 8 AM, and on the second day, after 10 AM, some food stations weren't open. Normally, everything is open during the summer holidays, but I'll set that aside, as every hotel has its own plans. However, let me address the specific beverage issues. On the first day, the freshly squeezed juice in the restaurant was consistently only filled to one-third of the glass. There's really no need for that; if people want more, they'll simply get refills. Two-thirds is a normal serving, especially since the cups are small. On the second day, I went for freshly squeezed juice at 10:05 AM and couldn't get a single cup; there were only a few scattered watermelon slices. The hot milk was also not refilled and was consistently out of stock. This really feels a bit stingy.
The evening activities felt less engaging compared to Nanjing. Nanjing's activities had much more interaction. I still vividly remember children and adults gathering in a circle, singing and dancing together, everyone enjoying drinks, chatting while watching the show, and kids participating on stage.

This stay exceeded my expectations, a definite must-praise! The hotel is overall clean and fresh, the bedding is soft and gentle on the skin, and the soundproofing is excellent, allowing for a really peaceful night's sleep. Whenever I needed anything, the hotel staff were incredibly prompt with their service. Plus, their attitude was gentle and friendly, giving a comforting 'home-away-from-home' feeling. During my stay, I reported a toilet issue, and Haley immediately assisted with a room change, which was handled very efficiently! The location is convenient, close to shopping districts and attractions; Suzhou Center is right outside, making dining and shopping very easy. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I return. We booked a futon room, which was very comfortable for two adults and two children, and perfect for young travelers. There are plenty of dining options in the nearby commercial street, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the scenic Shantang Street. Transportation in the area is also very convenient. The front desk staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and well worth staying at.

ivyalwaysOverall, it's pretty good. The hot springs are very comfortable, and the facilities are decent. The hygiene is also good, and the staff are all polite. The food, however, is very mediocre, so don't expect much. It's a nice place just for a hot spring soak.
As a hot spring hotel, while it emulates Japanese onsen in form, there's still a lot of room for improvement in the details, which I've already discussed with the staff on site. I'd like to add two more points:
1. Please have staff regularly patrol the lounge area. The door to the smoking room needs to be kept closed. Otherwise, it affects the health and relaxation of other guests, as the entire lounge area is an enclosed space, including the smoking room.
2. Mobile phones should be strictly prohibited in the hot spring area and changing rooms. Although there are signs, some visitors just don't pay attention. The scrub attendant was very responsible; she immediately stopped a lady who brought her phone into the hot spring pool. However, she was busy with her own work and couldn't keep an eye on everything. Another three or four people came in as if to sightsee, all dressed and holding their phones. Even though they weren't taking photos, it created psychological pressure for those of us who were naked at the time. I really hope there can be staff to maintain order and ensure no phones are brought in.
It's very close to Shanghai, so I can visit frequently for a soak. I hope to see improvements in the details next time.

The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful.
The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs!
Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money!
**Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious!
**Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year!
Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome.
