Location is good, surrounding with local restaurants and supermarket, below building is Fruits and vegetables market.
The nearest metro is Line 6 Shipilu
My room is super small, the price is very good. Overall is ok, not a fancy hostel, but it's good and affordable price. Has common area facilties, which is very good.
I did online shopping before I arrived, so my items has reached to hostel when I check in. Very responsive staff.
The one I dislike is the toilet smell of cigarettes. The toilet has biddet /back wash which is very good, it's very rare to see toilet with biddet in China. Toilet is better to have biddet, cause can easy to clean it

Difficult to find if you don't already know the area; it's an unassuming doorway on the third floor up a random flight of stairs! At least in the winter time, most staff and occupants are Chinese. I suppose it's a good chance to practice Mandarin, and you shouldn't have to worry about noisy Westerners killing the vibe. It's an acceptable level of cleanliness and there is a small fridge next to the admin office. There are also two malls and what appear to be several clubs around the other side of the block (towards Wudaokou station) so be sure to have a good look around.

My cabin had boogers on the walls, which is just unacceptable. The whole place just didn’t satisfy my cleanliness criteria. The chairs of the common areas were stained, the walls were dirty, etc. The cabin is also on the smaller side.
The room was packed when I was there, but the air circulation wasn’t good at all.
Other guests have also been inconsiderate during my stay, being loud and smoking inside the bathroom.
Shower didn’t drain properly so I was standing in a puddle while showering. Not to mention, there’s an unhealthy amount of mould on the ceiling. They do provide soap, shampoo and body wash though. The toilets are squat only.
Location is not bad, it’s very close to Wudaokou Station and Summer Palace is around 30 minutes away. Other major attractions in the central area, such as Tiananmen Square, take around an hour with two transfers at least.

I really enjoyed my stay! The room was comfortable with a big window to let lots of natural light in. Bottled water was provided everyday, and there was also a kettle to boil water.
Towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer were also provided in the private room.
I enjoyed the communal areas, too. They are very comfortable and the staff are helpful.
My only complaint is that the bathroom had a strong smell, from the plumbing I assume, but I think this is fairly common for old buildings in the hutongs.

The stay was not bad. It was my first time to experience a youth hostel. The lady at the front desk upgraded me to a 4-person room. The favorability was maxed out. I got a critical hit at the beginning. It was very nice. I personally think the location of the hotel is invincible. There are popular attractions such as Jingshan Park and the Forbidden City right outside. It is really convenient to play. There are also some flaws. For example, the air circulation in the room I stayed in was not good and I woke up in the middle of the night. The hygiene of the toilet was average. The attitude of some staff members was not good, which greatly affected my mood for going out to play. It was not easy to communicate with the staff after leaving the hotel. I just complained about it. I am used to the good reviews and will stay again in the future (communicated with the staff Xiaolong on VX after leaving the hotel)

The youth hostel of the factory of Beijing artillery bureau is close to the Lama Temple, and the hutongs are full of ordinary people's homes. It used to be a prison, an arsenal, a factory. Now it is a real youth hostel. Without luxurious decoration, the original appearance of the old factory is preserved as much as possible. We provide clean sheets, comfortable beds, cheap and delicious food, and provide you with a large public space and outdoor space close to nature. We hope you don't stay in your room, but communicate with young friends around the world and share the happiness of travel. Chinese youth hostels have begun to change, and more youth hostels look more like business hotels. You know, living in a hotel is quite different from living in Beijing. look for your visit!

Location is convenient. Staff speaks english and helpful. Food, coffee, etc is readily available and affordable. Has unlimited hot water for drinking, microwave oven free to use, common area for eating or just hanging out. Shared room but did not expect it to be “THAT okay”! 😄 satisfied!
Self service putting on bedsheets & duvet covers which is actually new for me but not a big deal!
If you are carrying valuables, better not leave it in the shared room. I have a small luggage that has locks so no worries for me. There is a paid locker near the reception though if you don’t wanna roam around bringing important things. Not fancier than hotel but certainly best for solo travellers like me and also an opportunity to meet like-minded people. Would most probably come back! 🥰

One night in Beijing, I didn't dare to ask for directions at midnight for fear of walking into the depths of Baihua.
Accidentally, I stayed here for one night.
The hotel is close to the subway station and bus station, and the transportation is convenient. The room is divided into dry and wet areas, and the terrace is really great.
The only drawback is that there is no heating, and the first floor of the loft room is very cold in winter.
It should be great in spring.

Because I live in a female bed room, I only took a real picture of the female six-person bed room to show you. There are male eight-person beds, three-person rooms, and four-person rooms. You can choose according to your needs. The price of the owner of Anna Xiangxiang Hostel is relatively stable, and the fluctuations are not too big. It is also more friendly, which shows that the owner has good character;
The sisters we live with come from all over the world. We chat and talk about family matters together, which improves our cognition a lot. It feels like returning to the hometown of sisters.
I always think that people who go out are good people, including foreign friends, especially those who can come to Beijing, a first-tier city. If the person is not good, I dare not go out, hahahaha😄😄😄

The hostel is clean and homely, the interior is nice and comfy. However, I had a rather bad experience with the service staff. When I asked for basic things like a towel or shampoo, I was first told that I have to pay for it (which would have been fine), but eventually given for free with the condition to give a 5 star review. This kind of trade off left a weird feeling in me. I prefer to be honest to my fellow travellers which is why I am writing this review. The public toilet flush was broken and once there was no toilet paper. The beds in the dormitory do not have curtains. Overall my stay was still rather comfortable, which is why I would probably come back.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed here as a group of 3 for our first time visiting Beijing. The staff are so long and helpful - they really deserve some praise. One of the group members lost something in a shopping centre earlier in the day and they helped us get in contact and arrange for it to be delivered back to us due to the language barrier. Place is very clean and lovely rooms, the staff also re stock your water and toilet paper etc daily. 15 minute walk from Qianmen station. Would definitely recommend!

GGuest UserThe guesthouse was really good, it was clean and the people at the desk were always very nice and helpful. Although the place is indeed a bit hard to find as it is located in the very small streets of the hutong, it is very close to Nanluoguxiang and its lively atmosphere.
AAliceOne of the loveliest lodgings I have experienced. The Orchid Hotel is a short walk from the bustling streets, yet it offers a peaceful retreat that feels like your own private oasis. The breakfast at either of their two restaurants is absolutely amazing! The bakery sells delicious bakes and they are hard to resist. The team running the lodging is a thoughtful bunch too. Knowing that I had to leave for the Great Wall at 6.50am, they made sure they had bakes and freshly brewed coffee for me to bring along for my day trip. The map provided by them is informative, thoughtful and extremely useful. Strongly suggest you take a good read and mark out the places you want to visit. Much appreciated Jihan and her team who have made the stay a very pleasant one.

The only dissatisfaction is that the water output of the bathroom shower is very small and very small, and the water temperature can't go up. The bath is very cold. The room is electric heating. It will not be warm after a while. The air conditioner is also unplugged. It is not so warm.
