THE BEST VALUE HOTEL I’ve stayed at in China!
I wish I had stayed longer than 4 nights.
This hotel has A LOT of extra services and freebies for guests: free dinner buffet (but a caution that the traditional Chinese dishes may not be for foreign tourists), unlimited free drinks and fruit bowls, free laundry and dryer service, coffee and tea bags in the bedroom.
Super clean room and public areas, super comfy tatami bed, great hot shower — both water pressure and temperature, good bedroom layout.
Practical location— 5-minute walk to Dajiaoting subway station, there’s a shopping mall in walking distance and easy to call a cab. But surprisingly it’s not noisy in the hotel.
Front desk staff are very accommodating, responsive and most speak English.
I highly recommend Jingli Hotel!

I really liked Citi Go hotel! It’s right by the metro station and has a direct line to the airport. The cleaning lady was so nice and cleans our room immediately after we walked out in the morning around 9am. The hotel room is small but it has everything. I can tell the hotel was well designed by the details. For example, I liked that they have a make up mirror because I like to do my makeup with good lighting which most hotels I go to don’t have. They even have a phone stand for you by the bedside. The laundry service was great as well. Didn’t take a picture of it but it’s on the first floor and there’s about 5-6 washers and dryers. They also have the robot service so you’ll get your food delivered to your door without you going down to get it. There’s a the Phoenix mall next to it as well with food stands, there’s an Ole market which we liked a lot. The staff was very helpful when we asked about checking the security videos for a lost camera. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its convenient to metro lines and a very nice hotel with great service.

The room is great, but I was unhappy with the service
1. During check in I was asked to make payment for the hotel despite prepayment being made, I had to show the staff that prepayment was made and The counter staff showed no apologies..
2. For the laundry service, the staff showed a lack of proactive, as the clothes were supposed to be FOLDED and return by next day 6pm.. which was not done, until I gave them a call and realized the payment has to be made first, despite me telling the staff (before passing them the clothes for washing)that I'll make payment upon check out(IN MANDARIN).
For a 5 star hotel like this, it is rather disappointing.. which I would not consider staying at Sofitel globally again.

we forgotten to book my 1st night upon check in and staff was super nice and helpful to assist on the extension process. the room was comfortable for 3 of us… it’ll be awesome if the lighting can be separated from room & living. the washing/drying facilities was great and convenient for us. the hotel area was convenience with 3 malls and next to hospital was not affecting us. but travelling out via didi was slightly inconvenient as there’s a safety barrier at the main gate before entering the lobby. parking area is available if planning to drive. but do note that didi driver will usually wait outside of the bread shop.

Room was clean and had amazing views. Staff greeted us downstairs late at night. Which was very helpful since it was our first time visiting. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and reception helped show us to our room. The staff spoke English and welcomed us late in the night at 1:30am. Very thankful for their help as we were tired and wary. The room was very comfortable with water, coffee, tea, and all amenities we would need. When checking out the staff escorted us down to the first floor and handed us off to our tour guide. Enjoyed our time here. Thank you to the staff.

Our stay at the SSAW Garden was very pleasant. The staff were very warm and welcoming and although they did not speak english they were well prepared for our visit.
The location was good for us however there was a walk from the metro that was not the best lit so older or more nervous visitors may not enjoy so much.
For us we felt safe walking to and from the hotel so it was not a problem.
The room was spacious and had good blackout blinds. We did not try any of the other facilities at the hotel

The service was exceptional. Water was freely available and any request was attended too promptly. They even did our laundry complimentary in their machines and hung it up to dry for us in our hotel room. Location is in the Hutong streets of Beijing giving an authentic feel when wandering the local streets. The light switches in the room is a bit confusing though. Check in process could be sped up by taking a picture of the passports and saving on file rather than photocopying. The room was spacious and clean

The hotel is located in the south of Tiananmen Square, under the Zhengyang Bridge, close to Qianmen Street, and is the representative of the Beijing Xinpai Courtyard Hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay at 前门漫心. They were very attentative and thoughtful right when we arrived at the hotel. Hot pear soup were served to warm us up while they settled our check in.
The front desk noticed that it is my girl's birthday the next day and asked if we would like to have a surprise for her. We were expecting a small piece of cake, but they surprised us with a whole room filled with the balloons and decorations. This is definitely a fond memory for my girl.
The staff helped to order takeaways for my sick child ( one even offered to cook for her) and helped booked our 相声tickets too. Appreciate all their kind gestures.
Special call out to 李伊,郭海強, 張鵬飛
Hotel near Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
The hotel has a Japanese Zen vibe, and they upgraded my room for free. My room faces the hutong, so it’s quiet.
Downstairs, there’s a burger shop, cocktail bar, two cafés, a Korean restaurant, a cha chaan teng, and the popular 红星点心局—super convenient for hotel guests.
The hotel has a laundry room with detergent provided. A thoughtful touch: housekeeping noticed my toothpaste was low and replenished my toiletries. Beijing's weather is quite dry, I requested a humidifier from the hotel and 1 of the day also borrowed a nail clipper—they had both. Their amenities are well-stocked.
It’s a 15–20 minute walk to Yonghe Temple, with plenty of cafés along the way—great for a city walk.

MMichael KeithI booked this hotel as part of a late Christmas present for my boyfriend. The building was exceptionally clean and the staff were excellent! If you don’t speak Chinese you might struggle a little; however, the building is well sign posted. Known as the first garden hotel of Beijing, this two storey stalwart building has a garden in the centre, which can be viewed from each room, as does it have an openable door with a small balcony. Because of the location, I expect this is a resort hotel with amenities close by. The room was very well appointed; equally so were the housekeeping staff who kept us in a good supply of Molten Brown and chocolate. Access to the executive meant a plentiful supply of top quality food and free-flowing liquor, which was perfect for the Brit! The swimming pool was magnificent and far beyond my expectations for a small non-chain hotel. I'm not sure who this hotel caters to because its location and homogenous supply of 48 rooms don't offer much flexibility. When we stayed in early January, which is probably the down season, there were only 8 other guests. For most people, this wouldn't be a problem; however, I personally like a bit of noise and atmosphere. That being said, it's not a critique of the hotel. Summary: excellent staff, excellent large room with bathtub and shower, balcony with garden view, executive lounge access with all room purchases, stunning swimming pool, quiet (possibly inconvenient (though you would know this before booking) and serene location.

GGuest UserOur stay at Sansa was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left we were taken care of with a lot of attention to detail. Rooms were spacious and neat, with a lot of daylight ( big windows everywhere). When you open the curtains you can see the green trees through, you’re feeling very close to nature, like the trees are in the room. The room is surrounded one side by a huge terrace giving you all the space again to enjoy the outdoor, drink wine outside or just relax. Our room had a view on the Great Wall and a viewpoint for the sleeping Buddha which was lovely. Amenities were on point and complete, towels and everything were very clean. We had a welcome fruit platter which was nice. We tried the Vietnamese restaurant downstairs, everything was super fresh, the fish was delish! A must try! It was a little cold at night - October temperature start to drop a little, that dish was just perfect feeling homely, warm, comforting & slightly heavenly 😁. Staff is super discreet and very hospitable, very fast to respond our questions and accommodating all the way. The location of the property is close to Beigou village and the Great Wall, you can easily go for a little hike or go for a stroll to the village. There are a few cafe around. Breakfast was very varied offering western & Chinese options, good selection. All in all we are very happy with our stay. Will definitely come back again!

LLeighBeJamminI have absolutely no regret staying at the Peninsula Beijing. Every US dollar spent here was so worth it, from bell services, check in, to the solid dining menus, to personal care, to the shopping options, to its prime location. We were minutes away from the abundance of malls, snacks, restaurants and the large pedestrian outdoor walking mall. The amenities here are amazing plenty and well staffed. Do bring your swim gear to take advantage of the pool. The staff at the pool and the spa were so friendly and extremely professional. Additionally, the check in staff were professional and patient as I was brushing up on my Mandarin skills. It felt extremely calm and welcoming. The restaurant staff were kind and definitely our superstars. Their breakfast menu covered authentic Chinese breakfast to western options.

CCarolineYMWe just stayed at the Mumanyu villa at Brickyard and it was perfect in every way. First the location is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall and the hotel has a van and they will drive you. The hotel has a western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant both were fantastic. We had a nice buffet breakfast but you can also have breakfast in your villa if preferred. The grounds are awesome and very clean with lots of interesting art and furniture for lounging and relaxing. There was an art museum that we visited as well on the property. They have a spa and sauna and masseuse - we wanted to experience it all but didn’t stay long enough. The staff are exceptionally nice and we especially loved the manager, Stanley. He helped us with so many arrangements and made our stay a dream come true. We went to the wall multiple times and he arranged cars and reservations and a shuttle to and from Beijing. This property is one of a kind with the houses all in the village and the property is unique and very special. I will be back for sure and will tell everyone I know to come here. You will not be disappointed. Stanley will take care of you as will the whole staff. His English is perfect if you need any help navigating. Their Google website doesn’t work, but please email any questions to ******************************

AAnonymous UserImpressive looking building from the outside but a really slow check in. They had 4-5 staff members yet everything took longer than I’d expect. The room was basic and, for the price, underwhelming. In addition, the walls are marked and scuffed. One part of the wall had food stains. The carpet is stained. When we went to go to bed we found the linen was dirty. There were stains on both the duvet and the bed sheet! We called down for reception and they said sorry then sent a maid to change the duvet. I felt like good customer service would include at least having someone from customer service/reception come to check on us and the room, or calling us to check, or making a note to ask at check out. No follow up.
Apart from this the room is a good size and felt spacious with a desk, sofa and large double bed. The bathroom also had 2 sinks and ample space for your things. The cupboards were also large with lots of hangers etc. There is a full ironing board. I was disappointed for the price (over ¥2000 a night) that even their basic rooms don’t have a coffee machine (like Nespresso etc). This seems to be standard in most hotels at this price range these days. Just instant coffee. As part of the price, the hotel included “free mini bar” which was just 1 can of coke, sprite and Fanta. All full sugar, no zero/diet. Only one side of the bed has plug socks for charging. Otherwise, there is a socket under the desk. The slippers constantly stuck to the tiled floor area which meant squeaky/sticky sounds as you walk around. I’m not sure if it was just the slippers or the floor coating but it was pretty irritating.
The breakfast was good with a range of choices including pancakes, waffles, different types of bread, omelette/egg station, noodles, porridge etc as well as fried vegetables, salad, fruit and sausages etc. Lots of coffee machines dotted around the canteen.
Location good if you want to go to the lake area and surrounds. There isn’t much walkable so to really take advantage you need a car , either a Didi or your own. You can rent bikes but anyone serious brings their own and cycles round the area. There are local restaurants about 1-2k away which is walkable. We had some ok local food for a good price. Disappointed not to find a modern cafe anywhere nearby, including the hotel. The coffee in the hotel was only the push button kind, like at breakfast buffets. No real cafe.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel and wouldn’t go back.

MMiko BayuajiRosewood so far in term of service, in my opinion, still the best in beijing. I like how attentive they are to all the customers. They are very consistent in giving the personalised and customised service to every guests.
In term of location, this hotel is located in the very center of beijing cbd. Some of their rooms have direct view to the iconic cctv tower so that you can have this iconic instaworthy moment from your room.
Their foods also in another level. I've tried their in room dining and their restaurants. All of them really exceed my expectation. Red bowl so far is my favourite.
Dont forget to get their manor club facilities. I think so far this is one of the best chinese hotel executive lounge experience.
Another plus is almost all of their staff can speal english well. Rosewood make my china trip perfect.

EEe MingThe hotel room is huge and very comfortable for a family of 3. The bed is enough to accommodate us and our teenage son. The decor of the hotel is very nice, the swimming pool is fantastic if you want to do some burning of calories after all that delicious Beijing duck dinner.
The location of the hotel is just minutes away from the Wang fu Jing shopping district.
The hotel service is fantastic and we wanted to specially mention Mr Yang for helping us to arrange for a car to the Great Wall.

GGuest UserCommune by the Great Wall is in a very nice location only about 30 minutes away from the Badaling section of the Great Wall. The staff here was extremely helpful, especially for someone who doesn't speak much Chinese.
The area is pretty far removed from any other services or restaurants, so unless you have your own transportation, you will be mostly eating at the hotel. Luckily, the food is absolutely delicious and extremely well prepared at the restaurant offered by the hotel.
It's also in a beautiful natural area with a lot of nice forested areas to explore right outside your hotel room. Yang was especially helpful and assisted me in getting a ticket and taxi to the Badaling Great Wall.
