The hotel has a good location, with many restaurants nearby and several metro lines. It's within walking distance of the Palau de la Música, the Gothic Quarter, Casa Batlló, and Casa Milà. The hotel rooms aren't large, but they're acceptable. The bathroom, while small, is functional. The king-size bed is made of two double beds pushed together, and the bedding is comfortable. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM. If you have plans for the morning, you can book a room without breakfast. However, the hotel breakfast is quite substantial, including freshly squeezed orange juice, various cheeses and breads, and marinated salmon. On our last day, we had to catch a train and didn't have time for breakfast, so we told the restaurant in advance, and they prepared takeaway breakfast boxes for us to eat on the train. This hotel, like the one we stayed at in Madrid, is part of the 'Catalonia Hotels and Resorts' group, and we had a very good experience with both.

I had an amazing 7 days and 6 nights stay at Ohla Barcelona. From the moment I arrived, it completely exceeded my expectations. Beyond being a beautiful five-star hotel with a rooftop pool, gym, rooftop bar, and a Michelin one-star restaurant, what truly impressed me was the warmth of the service and the genuine focus on guest experience. Even before arriving, I received thoughtful emails from their Experience Team — and yes, they actually call it the Experience Team — asking if there was anything I needed ahead of check-in. It immediately made the stay feel personal and intentional. Upon checking in, guests are welcomed with free-flow bubbly from Barcelona, trays of chocolates, and a hospitality team that genuinely makes you feel cared for. The hotel also has its own app where you can request amenities, special pillows, support pillows, and other essentials conveniently. There is also a dedicated concierge/help desk that gives excellent recommendations for dining and things to do around the city. The location is another huge highlight. The hotel sits directly across from Palau de la Música Catalana, and within walking distance to the Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter, where every street and building feels layered with history and character. It’s the perfect place to slow down, wander through the Gothic streets, and eventually make your way toward El Born for dinner. Even when heading further out to places like Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, or Casa Milà, everything is only a short taxi ride away, which made the stay incredibly convenient. I also appreciated the well-equipped gym and sauna, which allowed me to maintain my workout routine while travelling. One of the nicest touches was the turndown service every evening. There were always handwritten notes waiting for us, along with chocolates, little surprises, complimentary pictorial books about Barcelona, and even bottles of wine in the room. None of it felt performative or overly scripted. The warmth felt sincere and heartfelt. Design-wise, the hotel strikes a beautiful balance between old and new Barcelona. From the exterior, you still see the classic architectural curves and aged character of the city, while inside, the interiors are dark, modern, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed. Cozy rooms, elegant marble finishes, and a global design sensibility that would appeal to travellers who appreciate aesthetics, comfort, and detail. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, and every member of the staff always seemed ready to help and serve with genuine hospitality. I truly enjoyed my stay here, and if I return to Barcelona, I would absolutely stay here again. Easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Spain, if not the best.

The parking fee was quite expensive, and the hotel elevator doesn't go directly to the parking lot. There was a power outage on the day I arrived, so the front desk helped me carry my luggage to the room. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's a very quiet area.

This hotel, being new in 2024, is clean and tidy, and the kitchenette is a convenient touch. The food at Amani restaurant was delicious. The breakfast buffet, however, was just average. The downside is that the staff aren't particularly friendly and don't seem to care about the guests. To be precise, at check-in, an employee named Jenia made a mistake and undercharged me. I didn't know about it, but the next day I received a text asking me to pay the remaining balance. I didn't mind paying the extra, but that evening, when I tried to enter my room, my key card didn't work. When I went to reception, I found out they had deliberately blocked my room to ensure I'd pay the outstanding amount. This is the first time I've encountered a hotel that treats guests this way. They could have called me, or left a message in the room, but instead, they chose this petty method of intentionally preventing me from entering my room. The staff just have a cheap mentality. I had to pay card fees twice for two transactions, and the exchange rate was rising. I explained it was a loss for me and asked why I should fix their employee's mistake, but they just said I had to pay. They wouldn't offer any compensation. Furthermore, the gym is small, and they keep all the doors closed, so the air is very stuffy. When I opened a window, they told me to close it for safety reasons. They kept coming to close it themselves. What's more, when I complained about the payment issue, they deflected by giving a ridiculous explanation that the problem was caused by me opening the gym door. When I requested to speak with the general manager, the female staff member I thought was the GM turned out to be just the Executive Housekeeper. We arranged a meeting, but there was no response, and she kept postponing it with excuses about having other meetings. Later, when I finally met her, she claimed she had been looking for me. They could have called, come to my room, or sent a text message. I'm really annoyed by the utterly unreasonable behavior of the staff. They say Tembo means 'elephant' and the building resembles an elephant, which is why it's named Tembo, but the staff have hearts smaller than ants.

This was the best accommodation we stayed at during our month-long backpacking trip through Europe with our kids. We were on the 5th floor, and we could see a small glimpse of the Sagrada Familia in the far distance – just a tiny bit of the spires (FYI). I really liked the scent of the amenities. It wasn't that typical musky scent, which was a pleasant change (unlike Paris, London, and other places where they all seemed to have similar smells). It was a slight shame that there were no vegetables at breakfast, but the hotel's concept was decorated like a spaceship, making us feel like we were on a space journey! My kids even ranked it as their favorite place to stay. It's right next to the station, literally a 1-minute walk. It's easy to get around by metro, and there's a street with Asian food options and a lake park nearby. Laundry isn't self-service; if you need it, you request it, and they take your clothes, wash them, and bring them back.

This hotel was very clean and the reception staff were incredibly friendly. They even allowed me to check in early. I enjoyed relaxing in the lobby where I could get water. The location was great with many bus stops nearby, making it easy to get anywhere. It was also convenient that it's only about a 30 Euro taxi ride from the airport. The view from the window was lovely too. It's a bit pricey with the added local tax, but that's to be expected.

The hotel provides a ree shuttle minivan with advance notifications to a nearby metro station/shopping mall. It is less convenient with no local phone when booking a return pick up time because I couldn't foretell when I was able to return. The staff was considerate to allow us to check in slightly earlier. The room is new and quite nice. They offer free luggage storage, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. You can also get free water and coffee at the front desk every day. However, the bed is a bit soft, which might not be suitable for people prone to back pain. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area with authentic bars and restaurants nearby. It's not too far and not too close to the city's attractions; walking might be a bit tiring, so public transport is usually needed. However, it's very close to the subway and bus stations, which is convenient.

I truly had an excellent stay at this hotel, and I was particularly pleased with the room and the view. I had specifically paid a certain price for a nice view, and it was absolutely worth it. In some establishments, you pay more for a view, but then you end up in a corner or off to the side with a much less interesting view. Here, that was absolutely not the case: I had a magnificent view, and I was even told that I had one of the best views in the hotel, if not the best. I also really appreciated the service. Right from arrival, the hotel staff came to help with luggage and were genuinely attentive. Even if you don't speak perfect English, they make an effort to understand and communicate. Notably, the staff speaks French, English, and German, which is truly commendable. The room was always very clean, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. Everything was well-maintained, and you could tell the hotel paid attention to details. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of choices and quality products. It was really pleasant to start the day like that. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Between the view, the cleanliness, the very welcoming staff, the luggage service, and the quality of the breakfast, everything came together for a wonderful time. I genuinely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.

The Nobu Hotel is excellent! The rooms are spacious, and the sofa is beautiful and stylish, showing great design. The bathroom has double sinks and a well-planned layout. The distant views are also very nice. There's a subway station within a 5-minute walk, making transportation very convenient. A large supermarket is right next door, less than 2 minutes away, so you can easily get bread, milk, and fruit for breakfast. The area feels safe, making it a great choice for travelers!
