"When I arrived on the first day, the bedding was dirty, and there was strange dust on the pillows. I thought this was how it usually was, but then I saw that the bedding was clean after others checked out. However, after staying for four or five days, they did change my sheets and duvet covers, so I found it acceptable. The kitchen only has a small microwave, which is only good for heating up simple food, not for cooking anything substantial. This place seems to host various groups frequently; during my stay, there was a group of kids on a training trip, and it felt lively and noisy every day. The room is small, and the hallway is quite narrow, so privacy is a bit lacking, but hanging up some towels for a bit of cover was acceptable... The staff were all very nice! The location is decent; you can walk to Casa Mila and Casa Batlló, and taking the bus is quite convenient. However, it feels like a 15-minute walk to the nearest metro station, which is a bit far."

"The hotel is located in a residential area, about a ten-minute walk from the beach. There's a bus stop right outside, and it's a 10-15 minute bus ride or a 20-25 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. "I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Barcelona. It's super convenient with the metro and train stations just downstairs, about 100 and 200 meters away respectively. You can get to all the sights and the airport really easily. It's in a proper residential area, and while it might not look as upscale as the Eixample, it feels very safe. There are delicious family-run restaurants nearby, a breakfast spot downstairs (cheaper than the hotel!), and a convenience store. The hotel itself is quite traditional; not super new in terms of decor, but very clean, and the hot water works great. What's really important is that normally in Europe, if you're changing rooms, you can't move your luggage in early and have to repack everything and wait until check-in time. But here, if you just tell the front desk, you can move your bags into the new room the next day – it's brilliant! There's also a small rooftop pool with a pretty nice view. Highly recommend it, ladies! The pictures show the hotel room, the breakfast place downstairs, and a nearby family restaurant (so good 😋)."

"Since I booked a private tour of Barcelona through Trip.com, and the itinerary included a Mercure hotel, I decided to book an extra night at the same Mercure because the tour was locally organized. The check-in staff was very friendly. The hotel's surroundings are nice, close to a residential area, with a coffee shop and a convenience store right downstairs, making it very easy to grab some food. The hotel breakfast was also very generous, basically meeting all the needs of the guests. Sleep was very quiet at night. The bathroom is quite large, especially for a city hotel. My stay happened to be over New Year's Eve, and the hotel even provided 12 grapes on December 31st, 2025, which added to the fun and atmosphere of a Spanish New Year. Staying for four consecutive nights, I felt very safe and welcomed. The experience was consistent with Mercure hotels in China, which I often choose when traveling domestically. This trip was absolutely perfect."

"We have not received our deposit back. We checked in late at night after several flights, and the process was quite slow and exhausting. At check-in, we paid an additional €110, which included breakfast for two people and a deposit.
However, the deposit has still not been returned. Moreover, the hotel now claims that the payment was only for breakfast, and they have informed us via email that they will not refund the deposit. This contradicts what we were told at reception, where we were assured that the deposit would be returned shortly after check-out.
We did not expect such an issue from a hotel of this standard. Unfortunately, as this was the first stop of our journey, it left us with a rather negative impression.
The hotel is quite remote. We were told the view would be of the city, but in reality it was of the highway. The pool was closed.
The breakfast was good, but it ended up costing us 110 euros (if the don't return a deposit)—which is too expensive."

"My child had a solo trip and stayed for three nights. It was convenient, clean, and most importantly, safe, especially for a female traveler. She returned home safely from this trip. "This hotel truly has it all! Located conveniently on a corner, it's perfectly situated for easy access to dining and shopping. I even got to enjoy Cheese99, a popular spot, every day. Plus, it's within walking distance of Gaudí's masterpieces: Sagrada Família (25-30 minutes), Casa Batlló (15-20 minutes), and Casa Milà (10-15 minutes).
The service deserves a special mention. They were able to book tickets for a football match, and I was incredibly lucky to catch Barcelona playing Copenhagen at home. This included round-trip transfers from Camp Nou to the hotel. Although I interacted with four different staff members for inquiries, confirmation, payment, and transfers (due to different shifts), they all maintained excellent communication throughout. It made for an unforgettable and wonderful evening. I truly experienced the magic of football – the players' agility, their teamwork, varied passing, and the unpredictable, thrilling score changes. The stadium was packed with fans, their cheers and enthusiasm palpable, singing and dancing with genuine passion for the sport! ⚽"

Hhxm.trxvxlOur best stay in Spain. The staffs were all friendly. I only managed to catch a few people’s names like Anass, Raquel, Sebastian but everyone (front desk, concierge, housekeeping, breakfast staffs) in the hotel made us feel very welcome and comfortable. For example, Sebastian offered a pair of scissors without us even asking when he saw us repacking our luggage at the lobby. Everyday we went out and returned, everyone would greet us. We truly felt the warm welcome and friendliness of the Spanish through them. Very glad to book this hotel even though the hotel may be slightly more expensive than other hotels in Barcelona. Housekeeping seems to be done twice daily too (they will leave us chocolates on our bed every evening which is extremely sweet of them). Housekeeping team also sprayed fragrance on our little pillows which we brought with us on the trip (no other hotels have done so for us into past).
One more thing to add is that the showers in the hotel are full glass so it lacks privacy. We did not know this beforehand but only upon our check in. Anass and team assisted us the next day to stick privacy film to make us more comfortable.
A pity is that the Michelin starred restaurant located in the hotel is closed from Sunday to Tuesday, so we could not get to try it. The breakfast is the same every morning too but it was alright.
We would definitely return to the hotel if we are in Barcelona again. Gracias Team Ohla Barcelona! 100/100

We arrived late on our first day and didn't have time to buy water, so the hotel gave us a bottle, which was very nice! We booked a standard double room, but it had a small balcony overlooking the pool and outdoor restaurant. The view was lovely.
The security was also very good; nothing was lost during our several nights. We also noticed that the automatic door at the entrance was manually controlled by the front desk, so unauthorized people wouldn't be able to get in.

This was the only hotel among the several we stayed at in Spain that actually provided them. The location seemed decent enough, although we primarily used taxis. We found that for a group, taking taxis in Barcelona offered better value than using the metro. A branch of Joncake is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel – highly recommended! It's delicious and there was no waiting in line.

Summary:
We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed.
Room:
Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests.
Cleanliness:
The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable.
Service:
The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Location:
The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient.
Facilities:
The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city.
Food and Drink:
We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out.
Value for Money:
The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities.
Tips/Recommendations:
This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer.

It was a little inconvenient because laundry was done in a shared facility on the 5th floor, and I was a little disappointed that they assigned me a room with a rear view without even asking how many rooms had a view of the Sagrada. There is a rest area and a pool on the rooftop, so it would be nice when the weather is nice. The location is far from major tourist attractions, so it's a bit inconvenient to take the subway every day, so if I had to do it again, I think I'd pick it near Plaza Catalunya.

GGuest UserThe room itself was really good: clean, comfortable and spacious. However, my first impression of the stay and the stuff of the hotel was suboptimal, which coloured the whole experience.
I arrived at the hotel at about 1 p.m. First thing that surprised me was the fact that there were actually 2 hotels and only one of them had a check-in desk, to find which I had to ask around. When I finally arrived at the reception, I was second in line as there were some people checking out. While I was waiting a family (parents and a child) came in, and then one more group of travellers arrived. When the receptionist was done with the people who were before me, I asked to be checked in. In response, I got told that she was going to check the family in first. She wasn’t apologetic or nice about, she told me this as if that was what always happened and not that people got served in the order of their arrival. I am sure the family really appreciated what she’d done and I wouldn’t have minded either if that action was followed with acknowledgement of this not being okay and an offer of some services to recover their reputation. Not only had I not got an apology or anything like that but also I was again bypassed for registration as the receptionist decided to invite 5 people who came in later on to check them out. At that point me and other people in the line were quite baffled by the behaviour and understood that there was nothing fair about this interaction.
After I was finally checked in and went back to the other side of the street for my hotel, the room pleasantly surprised me. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. However, I was a bit confused at first by the thing you need to do to get electricity. I was told by a friend that the system of inserting the key card into a specific slot in order to get electricity is now the norm, but this month I’ve been to 5 different hotels and all of them had different systems and none of them were this particular one, so I personally would’ve appreciated a heads up or an informative poster on the door. The only downside of the room that I found was that that side of the street was quite loud. It was much better with the windows closed, however, if you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking ear plugs.
The rest of the stay went pretty okay for me, but that first experience unfortunately is something I’ll never forget.
If you are travelling as a family, I would imagine this hotel would prioritise you over other guests any time, so maybe that’s just who they cater to. As a solo traveler, however, this was not what I was expecting.

GGuest UserThe location is really good. Wherever you go, you can walk to 10-15 and there is an elevator, so it's easy to enter even if you have luggage. The person who checked in was friendly and the room was quite spacious and the view was good. The downside was that if you were unlucky, hot water would not come out when you wash it, but if you were not washing too late, it would be okay if hot water came out.
