Hesperia Barcelona Presidente

Hands down the worst hotel ever! The previous hotels in Barcelona were all fantastic, but unfortunately they were fully booked, so I had to stay here for one night, and it was truly awful. **Cleanliness:** Filthy! I was so itchy, and I even found bug bites on the bed in my room! **Facilities:** Incredibly noisy with terrible soundproofing. There was a constant booming noise all night. And the shower water kept fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold – impossible to have a proper shower. **Service:** Absolutely terrifying. A man, I'm not sure if he was hotel staff, suddenly entered my room using a card key. He said he was there to put books away. I was so scared and still feel traumatized, wondering what he intended to do! I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs!

The room was quite spacious; my friend and I had no problem opening up both our suitcases. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, making showers and hair washing quite comfortable. The location is pretty good too – a bit far from the subway but there's a bus stop right outside. It's super convenient for getting to Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Família. The area feels safe, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently, so communication was a breeze. However, there were a few issues. Firstly, there was no shower curtain for the bathtub, so the bathroom floor was soaked every time we showered, and it got quite chilly after a while. Secondly, the duvet didn't have a proper cover; instead, two sheets were used above and below it, and all three layers were tucked in so tightly under the mattress by the staff that we had to struggle to pull the duvet out every night. We ended up asking the front desk not to make our beds for the rest of our stay. Though, I hear this duvet cover situation might be common in Europe. Lastly, the soundproofing was really poor. We were lucky our neighbors weren't too noisy, and my friend and I aren't particularly sensitive to sound, but you could honestly hear every little thing happening next door. All in all, it was a mixed bag, but for the price and location, we couldn't really expect much more.

There was no one at the front desk when I arrived with a lot of luggage. The soundproofing was incredibly bad, making it impossible to sleep at night. The trash can in the room was broken, and they provided very little water. On top of that, the hotel WiFi was terrible. If you need to have a remote meeting, definitely do not choose this place; you'll have to go elsewhere for your calls.

So nice! Very friendly towards Chinese guests. The hotel has a lot of Chinese signs. I accidentally left some items behind, and they helped me get them back. Really appreciate it!

The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a great view. Most importantly, the location was super convenient – close to everything, with direct bus access. There were also many good restaurants nearby, and the service was excellent~

They provided disposable toothbrushes and slippers, which was a nice touch. However, the hairdryer was difficult to use. The high floor offered a good view of the Sagrada Familia, and the location was very convenient. Overall, it was quite good.
