"That afternoon, we made a last-minute decision to cancel our original hotel booking, thinking it would be more convenient to stay on Paifang Street given the rainy weather. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Firstly, its prime location right on Paifang Street makes it incredibly convenient to walk to several major attractions. Secondly, the design is full of thoughtful details, and the hotel feels very new as it hasn't been open long. Every staff member, from the butler to the front desk and restaurant staff, was incredibly friendly! Initially, after reading some reviews, I was a bit concerned about potential street noise. However, we were assigned a room on the 6th floor, and based on my family's experience, aside from a brief minute or two of noticeable noise from the street below around 9 AM, we didn't hear any other street noise at all during our stay. P.S. A minor suggestion for improvement: perhaps because we are a family of four, the waste bins in both the bathroom and the room were a bit on the small side for our needs."

"I have not dared to book an apartment in the past, read reviews mostly that hygiene is not good, air conditioning is not enough, booked without free cancellation. For these reasons I would not consider the apartment! Less than 5 minutes after I ordered, the housekeeper immediately called me (when I had thought about whether it was kk garden, because it showed an overseas phone) and asked me to write down the phone number and add him on WeChat. Then the butler gave me basic check-in information. On the day of check-in, the housekeeper gave check-in pw & registration process. Check out and get your deposit refunded instantly. Hygiene: Very clean. I have already bought disposable bedding and it doesn't work at all. After I go out every day, I notify the housekeeper to clean up the room and arrange for cleaning. Equipment: Basically no different from a hotel, shampoo (no conditioner), shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, slippers. Disposable bath towels & face towels. There is free fruit, soft drinks, bottled water. Washing machine, dishwasher & fridge available. The air conditioning is very plentiful, which is great. Rooms: 3 rooms, two 2m beds each, two 3ft beds in one room (can be put together). Unlike other apartments that only have one bedroom, the other one has the bed in the living room. Each room has a toilet & bathroom, but the space is relatively small. It would be better if the main room has a bathtub for easy bathing. Location: By the Han River, great view. You don't have to go to the scene and crowd with people, you can see the opening and evening closing of the Guangji Bridge/demolition of the pontoon, lighting show. call Didi to the nearby Pagoda Street, West Road Food Street is very convenient. Stayed for 3 nights and really didn't want to leave, it was too comfortable. Although the room price is not cheap, it is worth the price in every way. Sincerely recommend."

"Choosing this hotel was the best decision we made for our trip to Chaozhou! From its location and service to the ambiance, everything exceeded our expectations. Excellent Location for Exploring and Dining: The hotel is situated right within Paifang Street, so ancient alleyways are right outside your door, and you can start exploring and trying local snacks as soon as you step out. Major attractions like Guangji Bridge and Kaiyuan Temple are just a few minutes' walk away, which is incredibly convenient. In the evening, we could simply stroll over to catch the Guangji Bridge light show without worrying about transportation. For tourists visiting Chaozhou, this location is absolutely perfect. Attentive and Thoughtful Service, Making Us Feel at Home: From the warm confirmation call we received from the front desk after booking to the enthusiastic smile of front desk staff member #3 upon check-in, every detail made us feel welcome. The front desk staff not only provided a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities and local attractions but also recommended several authentic local eateries that only locals know about. And indeed, every single one was delicious – no duds at all! This kind of thoughtful service significantly enhanced our travel experience."

"As it's located within the ancient town and on a lower floor, we did encounter some mosquitoes. Otherwise, everything was excellent. The location is fantastic; Kaiyuan Temple, Paifang Street, Guangji Tower, Guangji Bridge, and other attractions are all within easy walking distance. The service was also commendable; the front desk staff were very responsive and helpful with any requests. The price was very affordable, offering excellent value for money."

"The hotel environment is very good. The uncle of the hotel is also very good. He came out to greet us when he just got off the bus and didn't step into the hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy, and I especially loved the big balcony upstairs – it was so relaxing to sit in the sun, enjoy the view, and admire the flowers. "This guesthouse is a peaceful haven tucked away in a bustling area, featuring modern decor that still retains a classic, antique charm. Both the service and facilities are truly excellent. From the moment I booked, I had a dedicated concierge service. Even before arriving, I received detailed guides on local cuisine, attractions, parking, and the room layout. My child was happy, and I felt completely at ease. If I ever visit Chaozhou Ancient City again, I would definitely choose Mingningfu."

"You can fully immerse yourself in Teochew culture right here at the hotel, without needing to step out. While the staff may not be numerous, every single person is wonderful. Unlike the impersonal service often found in chain hotels, this place truly feels like home. Vast and Linda, in particular, are incredibly engaging and helpful – such genuinely lovely people! Even the room service attendant and the cleaning staff always greeted us with warm, friendly smiles. The cleanliness is also impeccable; there wasn't a speck of dirt anywhere. You could even run barefoot on the outdoor stone paths. Breakfast is another highlight. Having stayed in several hotels in Chaoshan over the past few days, this was the only one that truly offered authentic Teochew-inspired breakfast options, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. An 'auntie' staff member saw us with our children and kindly offered them some German-made candies with good ingredients. Both the mini-bar selections and the bathroom amenities were also of excellent quality. The hotel also has a resident cat, Xiongda, who is incredibly adorable with his short legs. When the front desk staff noticed I wanted to pet him, they even offered me a cat treat stick. The next day, I wanted to give Xiongda another treat, but the front desk attendant kindly informed me that he had already had two for the day and couldn't have more. It's clear they genuinely care for the cat and prioritize his well-being. I'll definitely be visiting other hotels in the 'You Xiong' series in the future. What particularly impressed me was noticing, while walking around, that the hotel is equipped with an AED. This suggests the owner is truly thoughtful and responsible – very impressive! However, one minor point for improvement is that the room felt a little too much like a display suite, making it perhaps a bit too business-oriented for a relaxing holiday."

"Facilities: Didn't notice any special facilities, but there's a parking lot 🅿️. Cleanliness: Very good, didn't see any particularly dirty spots. Everything was clean. Environment: The hotel's indoor environment is quite good. There's a lounge on the second floor where you can relax and chat 💬. The area around the hotel outside consists of residential buildings, but cross the road and you're right on the pedestrian street! Fantastic. Rooms have smart devices, USB charging ports, and smart toilets. The room was very clean and tidy, and the shower water pressure was great. 🌟Also, I initially booked a 'Special Offer Elegant King Room'! But before checking in, I asked to see the room first. Turns out this room type was on the 1st floor! The environment was extremely poor and utterly disappointing. The soundproofing was terrible; conversations from the neighboring room were clearly audible, severely affecting my sleep quality. The so-called 'window' actually faced an internal corridor, offering no privacy whatsoever. The surrounding rooms were tightly packed, making the layout feel like a subdivided apartment, cramped and oppressive, far from the comfort standards a hotel should offer. Later, I went to see another room, a 'Selected King Room', and the environment was vastly different! This room was clearly a normal room with solid walls! The front desk said I could get a room change for a good review or by paying extra. I questioned why the difference in room types for the 'Special Offer Elegant King Room' wasn't clearly stated on Ctrip, as the pictures didn't show it at all! Fortunately, the second room met my hygiene and environmental requirements, so I left this good review to get the room change!"

"It was a very satisfying stay. The lobby was spacious and comfortable upon entering. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick. The room was exceptionally spacious, bright, and clean. It even had a projection screen, which felt like being in a movie theater [smiley face]. The internet was incredibly fast, and I even watched a movie on the Simmons mattress that night. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas for showers, and the sink was well-designed. Transportation is very convenient, near the high-speed rail station. Located between Chaozhou Paifang Street, Shantou Longyan South Road, and the small park, it's easily accessible. I'll definitely stay here again next time. I hope the rates don't increase [smiley face]"
