Cheap Hotels in Macau

"Macau is quite small, so the distance between hotels isn't far. YOHO Treasure Island Hotel is in a great location, and its night view, daytime scenery, and exterior are all beautiful. Downstairs, there's a shopping mall, entertainment, and a cinema. What attracted me online was the infinity pool. The only downside is that the pool's operating hours are very short, only until 8 PM. By the time we checked in, it was already closed, which was a bit disappointing. The room facilities were excellent, very spacious with a large bay window overlooking the Macau Tower. However, the cleanliness was rather sloppy. We later asked for it to be tidied up again, and the duty manager, Mr. Zhao, explained the situation and gave us shopping vouchers for drinks. From the hotel, it's very close to attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's. There are also shuttle buses to the ferry terminal, The Venetian, Macau Tower, and other places, which saved us a lot on taxi fares. Just be sure to check the schedule so you don't miss them. Speaking of service, perhaps business was good, as there were many guests during our summer stay. The service feedback was mediocre; they didn't seem to care much about customer opinions and weren't receptive to them, focusing only on their explanations. When we were about to check out, a staff member entered the room without knocking, which startled us. They also said they would get back to me, but I never received a reply. If I visit Macau again, I'm not sure if I'll stay here again. It depends on my mood."

"This hotel is still in its soft opening phase, and if you get the chance, I highly recommend staying here for at least one night to enjoy a world of luxury at an affordable price. Each room can comfortably fit four adults, so sharing it with friends makes it a truly great deal! Privacy is a priority here; each room has its own dedicated elevator, and you simply scan your key card for it to take you directly to your floor. When you enter the villa, you are welcomed by a large living room stocked with complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks. Moving up two steps, there is an enclosed bedding area featuring a sofa. It doesn't have a door, but rather a curtain for privacy. A few more stairs lead you up to the guest bathroom. Further inside is the main bathroom, which is absolutely massive and beautifully designed with a black marble bathtub, a Japanese smart toilet room, a separate shower room, and twin basins. It is fully stocked with all the amenities you could need, but the standout touches were a lovely rose mask and a very high-quality hairbrush. Beyond that is the master suite, featuring a huge, comfortable bed and a chaise lounge. They offer a pillow menu where you can choose your preferred type. However, my friend asked the butler to bring a lavender pillow, but unfortunately, it was never brought to the room. As we were celebrating our birthdays, the staff put up a simple but lovely decoration, gifted us a small cake, and surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne. We spent the afternoon—and part of the next morning after breakfast—at the pool area. It features a spectacular plant wall, which is certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest semi-indoor vertical garden, alongside several small pools infused with different mineral waters. The only downside was the breakfast. While there was some variety, it unfortunately did not meet the high luxury standards of the rest of the hotel, and there is definitely a lot of room for improvement in this area."

"I chose this hotel because it's within walking distance of the Galaxy Arena after a concert. There aren't many dining options nearby; we had to walk about 900 meters to a restaurant. The hotel's overall decor is new, and the staff service attitude is excellent, but the breakfast was disappointing. Considering the environment, variety, taste, and quality, it wasn't worth 108 RMB. I really regret purchasing the breakfast. The swimming pool, however, was great."

"The room was decent-sized, more than enough for two people. However, the air conditioning wasn't very effective, and the room cleaning was subpar. Hair from the previous day was still in the shower, indicating the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. The hairdryer was the worst; it would stop working after about 10 seconds on the first day. I reported it to housekeeping, but they didn't replace it, and it did the same thing on the second day. Am I using it wrong? Having wet hair for two days in a row was really annoying. Also, what's with the half-glass shower design? Water splashes all over the floor. The bathroom ventilation wasn't great either; I couldn't find a switch for it. For reference: The hotel is a bit far from the Venetian Macao shopping mall."

The hotel's infinity pool offers excellent views and an expansive panorama, making it a perfect spot for photos and social media check-ins. 🛎️ Service & Hospitality (Birthday Experience & Communication) Front Desk Reception & Flexibility: ⭐️⭐️ (2/5) Late checkout denied: I requested a complimentary late checkout until 1:00 PM because I had a bungee jumping activity early the next day, but it was denied by the front desk, showing a lack of flexibility. Communication gap: During check-in, I proactively asked about birthday amenities, and the front desk verbally stated that the ”room had already been specially decorated.” Customer Service Responsiveness & Crisis Management: ⭐️ (1/5) Broken promise: Upon checking in, I found that the room had absolutely no decorations. Passing the buck and insensitive remarks: When I called customer service to inquire, they first claimed it was an ”oversight,” and then blurted out: ”It's so late now, you wouldn't need decorations, would you?” After I confirmed that I did, they bluntly stated they were understaffed and ”couldn't do anything.” Compensation: Ultimately, I only received a supermarket voucher worth 30 MOP as compensation, which felt very insincere and left the birthday celebrant quite disappointed. 💡 Summary and Recommendation Pros: The room hygiene is good, and the infinity pool is outstanding. Cons: The room's hardware and decor do not match the high price; the hotel's arrangements for celebrations/birthdays are chaotic, with inconsistent information from the front desk and customer service. Their responsiveness and customer service attitude need significant improvement. Overall review: If you're coming for the infinity pool, it won't disappoint you; however, if you expect excellent celebration services and flexible, considerate hospitality, the hotel's performance in these areas is regrettable."

"Grand Lisboa Palace Macau offers excellent value for money on non-holiday weekdays. I initially thought it would be out of the way based on some reviews, but it's not at all. It's only a ten-minute drive from the airport, with multiple free shuttle buses available, making transportation very convenient. It's also less crowded than the Venetian area. There's a duty-free shop downstairs, and both the hotel restaurants and food court offer delicious food. The hotel itself is very new, with superb service. The room cleaning is incredibly meticulous and thoughtful. I'll definitely stay at Grand Lisboa Palace Macau again on my next visit."

"The best hotel experience I've had in Macau! The room facilities are quite new, and the staff service is excellent. Special thanks to Ms. Zhu who checked me in. She gave a very detailed introduction to the hotel's services, including how to take the hotel shuttle bus to various attractions and how to get to the NBA China exhibition hall. The Parisian Macao is newer than The Venetian Macao, and its free shuttle buses go to the airport, ports, and major attractions. The Parisian Macao, The Londoner Macao, and The Venetian Macao are interconnected, making shopping and dining very convenient. The instant noodles, chips, tea, and coffee in the room are all complimentary. I'll definitely stay at The Parisian Macao again on my next trip to Macau!"

"A truly perfect trip! Even with the price hike during the National Day holiday, this hotel was still great. They even upgraded us to the presidential suite, and we had the pool all to ourselves! The service was also excellent, thanks to Mike Mark. The kids were absolutely thrilled! 💕 In the evenings, the adults could also head downstairs for a drink 🍺. The hotel also offered a music festival, giving us a wonderful experience of Macau's local music. 🎵"

"This is a great hotel with excellent value for money! The room was clean with no hidden dirty spots, and the bathroom was dry with no water stains. The room directly faces a large stadium. There's a free shuttle bus from the hotel entrance to nearby hotels, where you can then catch a free bus to the airport and various tourist attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's! There are also various shopping malls nearby for some retail therapy!"

"This stay at the Grand Hyatt Macau was very satisfying. Even after the Mid-Autumn Festival, the weather remained scorching hot. I tried out the pool facilities; it's a small, standard pool where you can actually swim, unlike other hotels whose pools are designed more for wading or soaking. There were even a few competitive swimmers timing themselves here. Looking around, I also noticed a small, heated round pool, which I unfortunately only saw when I was leaving. I personally prefer the Grand Hyatt Macau's design because everything adheres to American standards. This means higher ceilings, tall bathroom doors, wide entryways, and spacious elevators – none of that cramped feeling you get in some other hotels. My stay was between two holidays, after the Mid-Autumn Festival and before China's National Day, so it wasn't crowded at all, allowing for a bit more tranquility. The only minor drawback was the central air conditioning; I couldn't find the thermostat to adjust the temperature in the middle of the night. When I checked in, I also had a friendly chat with the front desk agent about the difference between booking on a platform and booking directly on their official website. Even as a member, there aren't many discounts available for booking. If the hotel could offer more incentives for members, I believe I'd stay here more often. I usually opt for The Parisian Macao or Studio City Macau, staying more frequently at a lower price point versus a more expensive hotel where I'd only stay once or twice. But of course, price control is part of a high-end brand's image. Each has its own business strategy."
