AAngelo_007The views from this hotel was stunning. Both inside in my room and all around the hotel campus you look directly into the heart of Bangkok and can see a good part of the city. Location wise travelers at this site are close to multiple local hotspots. In my case I enjoyed walking over to the waterfront where I took a river cruise into China town and spent most of my day there. It was pleasant to come back to a quiet room with a charming view after all the exploration and adventure. Inside my room everything was clean and with a touch of modern decoration and color. My bathroom included a spacious tub and my bed was very comfortable under the well regulated room air conditioning. I enjoyed being close to several shopping districts including Central World and Siam Paragon where I ended up walking to the next morning. I very much enjoyed the staff at this site with complements going to the bar crew. Both nights there I spent time enjoying a beer and discussing how local life was for these friendly and energetic folks. On my last morning I took part in the breakfast buffet and I was surprised to see how many options for food were available. Overall this was a great stay that I recommend and would gladly revisit upon my return.

AAnonymous UserWe loved it here so much. The view from the pool is nice as well as from the gym. I wish we would have stayed longer. The breakfast buffet is tasty and they give you 2 waters per day. Loved the big smart tv, the water pressure and cleanliness of the room. We went to lifestyle mall close by, took a grab to chinatown, visited iconsiam and 2 temples while staying here. It's lovely and relaxing after a long day out and the pool bar makes good drinks too. Thank you for the kindness, we hope to come back soon

GGuest Userit was an AWESOME STAY but location is a little hard to find at first. overall place was clean and people were friendly! toilet was CLEAAAAN. there is also a communal hairdryer it works pretty well. at night there is a fish auction i think. therefore, walking to 711 at 3am is pretty safe. personally as there is more people there late at night i feel it is safer. it is located beside the fish market so if you're sensitive to smells it might not be suited for you. there is also an ATM nearby. The BTS and pier is also near the hostel therefore transportation is prettty solid. lots of common areas to do your work! rooms are pretty soundproof as well! i did NOT encounter much mosquitos surprisingly! i had a mosquito bite like 5 times throughout my stay. i did not wear insect repellent at all! able to put your own food in the common fridge. shoe locker is also provided! there is also a locker to put all your stuff. there is luggage space but it is in the common area and the door is easily accessible. please do buy a lock for your luggage bedding is GOOD, mattress is GOOD, pillow can get uncomfortable though, not much neck support. a really good seafood buffet located beside the hostel! overall, i would DEFINITELY COME BACK! loved my stay there. if you're not bothered by fish smells this is probably the place for you!

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with my stay, highly recommend! Choosing the Jubilee Hotel for this business trip was an excellent decision! First off, I have to praise the room – it was incredibly spacious with a fantastic view, absolutely no feeling of being cramped. Enjoying breakfast by the sun-drenched window every morning, gazing out at the scenery, instantly brightened my mood and gave me more energy to start the workday. The hotel's Chinese and Japanese restaurants were also a pleasant surprise; the food was incredibly authentic and delicious, completely exceeding my expectations. Plus, the location is super convenient, making getting around for work hassle-free. Next time I'm in Thailand for business, I won't hesitate to choose this place again!

AAnonymous UserI went to Bangkok 2 times in 2 months. First we were in an expensive 5 star resort in the river and second time was here in Ramada Plaza. It was more than half the price of the first place but wow it was almost as good! I am not goof at reviews so I will just ramble my thoughts. The worst part of Ramada Plaza is the entrance. It is lackluster and the main big doors were not working so they had small signs that say in and out for you to use side doors. When you get in, the lobby is big and grand with high ceilings, albeit very dated. At night there is a pianist and singer every day and it’s nice to come back to. Front desk staff were kind and they said they upgraded our room from deluxe to premier deluxe (although they always say this so I don’t know if there truly was a difference). We didn’t get early check in and connecting rooms as I requested but we didn’t get rooms beside each other which was good enough. When we got to the room it was so nice. Looked newly renovated! Looked newer than the lobby and the hallway. So we were happy. Aircon was super strong and cold thoughout our 8 day stay. No carpet in the room, made it easier for luggages to roll. I felt it was cleaner that way too. Linens were crisp and clean. Pillows were super great and soft. For our king size bed we had 4 pillows and 1 extra. The bathroom was spacious but it had a wet floor set up so your tub and shower was beside each other. Tub is small so it fills up easily. Water is super super strong and goes from boiling hot to cold. We soaked everyday in the tub. My shower had low pressure in the first day but when I asked them to fix it, they did and it became super strong. If I may nitpick - I didn’t like their provided shampoo (made my hair stiff) and shower gel and lotion(didn’t like the scent). But it was totally ok. Just personal preference. They give two bottles of water a day. The provided ref was ok. Takes a while for our drinks to cool. Anyway moving on, the location of the hotel is beside asiatique so it’s noisy at night (we were in the 6F) because of the party boats boarding. Lots of singing. But only early in the evening. We tried the free tuktuk to asiatique and it was so fast like riding a rollercoaster. My daughter loved it. The location itself is nice because of the river view but it’s prone to a lot of traffic coming from places like icon Siam or central world. Outside the hotel were more than 5 massage spas. We tried one and had a great foot massage!! Loved it! We never tried the fee hotel boat to central pier because we didn’t want todeal with central pier and shift boats. I wish they had a free icon Siam boat like other hotels but that’s ok I guess it’s far. Also the boat doesn’t go at 12 noon so we just opted for a grab car to get around. Oh and also the breakfast buffet is great! They change selection daily so in 8 days we tried many different things. I loved the pork rib curry even though it was so spicy. The chef roams around every morning. Nice touch! Overall I recommend this hotel to all my friends who don’t want to break the bank but still want the resort feel by the river.

GGuest UserGood hotel in a convenient Bangkok location and in excellent condition. Everything was clean and worked properly. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive. Breakfast and housekeeping could be arranged for an extra charge, although we didn’t use these services since there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only downside was that you can hear the neighboring room’s doorbell, even when the “Do Not Disturb” mode is on. Also, fresh water and toilet paper were not replenished automatically. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we were satisfied and can confidently recommend this hotel.

SSS05Holiday Inn Bangkok: Perfect Solo Weekend Retreat Near Emsphere I recently spent a relaxed long weekend (just over two nights) solo at Holiday Inn Bangkok, right next to Emsphere mall. As an NRI zipping between Hong Kong and Bangkok for work, I needed a hassle-free spot with easy access to shopping, dining, and BTS— this nailed it. Location (5/5): Smack in Sukhumvit's heart, it's a 1-min walk to Emsphere's trendy shops, cinemas, and food scene. BTS Phrom Phong is 5 mins away, making airport runs and city jaunts effortless. No taxi drama in Bangkok traffic! Room & Comfort (4.5/5): My superior room was spotless, modern, and spacious for solo use— king bed was plush, blackout curtains ensured deep sleep despite city buzz. Huge bathroom with rain shower and amenities felt luxurious. Minor nitpick: AC was a tad noisy at night, but earplugs fixed it. Free Wi-Fi was speedy for my work calls. Service & Facilities (4/5): Staff were warm and efficient—check-in was instant, and they upgraded my view gratis. Gym and pool on the 8th floor offered stunning skyline vistas; poolside was quiet for solo unwinding. Breakfast buffet was solid (fresh Thai/Western options), but could use more variety for repeat stays. Value (4.5/5): At ~THB 4,500/night (booked via app), it's a steal for the location and IHG perks. Quiet for a city hotel, ideal for solo travelers avoiding party vibes. Overall: 4.5/5. Highly recommend for short business-leisure trips. Will return!

GGuest UserAddressed to Jon Warmington, the General Manager I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium room 842 from 27 May to 1 June and would like to share some feedback regarding my experience. First and foremost, I would like to emphasize that I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The hotel, facilities, and the majority of the team members provided excellent service, and overall I had a pleasant experience. In fact, I am not the type of guest who frequently raises complaints. During my travels, I spend very little time in my hotel room. Most of my day is spent outside the property, and my interaction with the hotel is generally limited to breakfast and sleeping. As such, it takes a significant issue for me to feel compelled to formally raise a concern. The first issue relates to breakfast. During my stay, I invited a Muslim friend to join me for breakfast. He entered the restaurant with me but did not consume any food because he was unable to find suitable options that met his dietary requirements. While I acknowledge that I did not raise this directly with the restaurant team at the time, I was surprised when Reception later informed me that they had verified that my friend had taken breakfast. From my perspective, entering the restaurant should not automatically be considered as consuming breakfast when no food was actually taken. Nevertheless, I have decided to let this matter rest and move on. The second issue is far more serious and is the primary reason for this email. On my final night at the hotel, I was expecting a visitor. However, Reception did not contact me to verify whether I was expecting anyone before allowing my visitor access to the guest floors. Instead, my visitor was simply directed to my room and arrived at my door unannounced. Having worked within the Accor group for approximately 15 years as a Duty Manager in Singapore, I am very familiar with hotel operational procedures, guest privacy standards, and security protocols. It has always been my understanding that when a visitor arrives for an in-house guest, Reception should first contact the guest to obtain authorization before granting access to the room floors. While my visitor was indeed expected on this occasion, Reception had no way of knowing that without contacting me first. Had the visitor not been known to me, this could have resulted in a serious security and privacy issue. In my professional opinion, allowing a visitor direct access to a guest room without prior verification is unacceptable and falls short of the standards expected from an Accor property. What further disappointed me was the handling of the matter after I raised my concern. I wish to be clear that I am not seeking compensation of any kind. My concern is not financial. Rather, I expect an appropriate resolution and acknowledgement of the seriousness of the issue. Simply being told ”sorry” was not sufficient given the nature of the security lapse. The alternatives presented to me by the Night Manager were also, in my view, unreasonable. One option was for me to move to another room on my final night. Considering that I was due to check out the following morning, I found this solution impractical and disruptive. Being asked to pack my belongings and relocate because of an issue that was not caused by me did not seem to be an appropriate resolution. I was also informed that a Reception Manager would speak with me. However, I was unable to wait indefinitely for the manager's arrival. As a guest who was raising a legitimate concern, I do not believe I should have been expected to delay my evening plans or remain available for an uncertain period of time. Furthermore, I was scheduled to leave the hotel at 7:00 AM the next morning in order to arrive at the airport early for my flight. For these reasons, I felt that the issue was not properly addressed during my stay, which is why I am bringing it directly to your attention. I am raising this matter not only as a guest but also

SSmallduckThe hotel is located in the city center, but quite deep within an alley, though they do offer a shuttle service. The staff provided excellent service; everyone was friendly, smiling, and attentive. The room was clean, and the hotel itself is relatively new. The room layout was good, and it was fully equipped. Personally, I really liked it. There's also a cafe downstairs with good coffee. If I have the chance, I'll definitely stay here again. We checked in late, and the hotel upgraded our room. The room had a microwave, a coffee machine, and all the dishes and utensils you could need. One night wasn't enough; next time I'll stay for two nights. If you're hesitant, I highly recommend it; I personally think it's great.

NNari.I recently spent several nights at the Furama Silom Hotel in Bangkok, and if you are looking for a blend of convenience, space, and local flavor, this property is a solid contender. Located on the bustling Silom Road, the hotel stands as a prominent choice for both leisure travelers and business professionals who want to be in the thick of Bangkok’s financial and nightlife district. Spacious Living in a Prime Location The first thing that struck me about Furama Silom is the sheer size of the rooms. In a city where many modern hotels are trending toward compact ”minimalist” spaces, Furama offers an expansive environment. My room was bright, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that provided a fantastic view of the city skyline. The inclusion of a kitchenette was a thoughtful touch, making it feel more like an apartment than a standard hotel room. The location is undoubtedly the hotel's strongest selling point. It is roughly a 10-minute walk to both the Saint Louis and Chong Nonsi BTS stations, making the rest of the city easily accessible. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, the famous Patpong Night Market, the historic Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, and a plethora of local street food stalls and 7-Eleven stores are just a short stroll away. Rooftop Relaxation and Dining The highlight of the stay was the rooftop swimming pool on the 20th floor. It offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Bangkok, which is particularly breathtaking at sunset. There is also a poolside bar where you can unwind with a cocktail after a long day of sightseeing. Regarding the breakfast buffet, it served a decent variety of Western and Asian dishes. While the menu stayed relatively consistent each day, the quality was good, and the dining area provided a welcoming atmosphere to start the morning. Service and Hospitality The staff at Furama Silom deserve a special mention. From the concierge to the housekeeping team, the service was warm and professional. Check-in was efficient, and they were always ready to assist with taxi bookings or local recommendations. Their hospitality truly embodies the ”Land of Smiles.” Points for Consideration While my stay was overall very positive, it is worth noting that the hotel has a bit of a ”vintage” feel. Some parts of the interior show their age, with slightly dated carpets and furniture. However, the hotel is clearly undergoing maintenance and renovations to address this, and given the competitive pricing, the value for money remains exceptionally high. Verdict I would recommend Furama Silom Hotel to travelers who prioritize location and space over ultra-modern luxury. It is a practical, comfortable, and friendly base for exploring everything Bangkok has to offer. Whether you are here for a short business trip or a week-long vacation, it provides a reliable and pleasant experience.
