"Return to Vela Glow Pratunam Hotel during my Bangkok trip this time . The location is really great — convenient and close to shopping areas. The room was comfortable and overall stay was pleasant. However, there is currently railway construction on the main road nearby, causing very heavy traffic and congestion, especially during peak hours. Do take note if you plan to travel around by car or Grab."

Amazing
DDaxianyunyoushijie## Prime Location & Accessibility * This is an established luxury five-star hotel situated in the heart of Bangkok's commercial district. It's right next to the Erawan Shrine, and within walking distance to Siam Paragon, Central World, and Big C. The Chit Lom BTS station is just a stone's throw away, making both taxis and the Skytrain incredibly convenient for getting around. * Ideal for business travelers, shoppers, and those who appreciate classic luxury. Younger guests seeking minimalist, modern design might find it a bit traditional. ## Facilities & Services 1. **Guest Rooms:** Recently renovated by Tony Chi, the rooms are elegant and comfortable with high-quality linens and excellent soundproofing. Some entry-level room sizes are a bit compact for a city-center hotel. Welcome fruits and well-stocked toiletries are provided. 2. **Dining:** Breakfast offers a good variety (Thai + Western). Erawan Tea Room is a Michelin-recommended Thai restaurant, and the Executive Lounge service is consistently good. Some restaurant prices are on the higher side. 3. **Leisure:** The pool isn't huge, better suited for relaxation than extended swimming. The spa has an excellent reputation with professional therapists. The gym is open 24/7 with a full range of equipment. 4. **Service:** The front desk is efficient, and Globalist benefits are well-executed. Chinese-speaking staff are available. The hotel upholds the strong attention to detail and consistency expected of a long-standing five-star property. 5. **Ambiance:** Features a high-ceilinged lobby with a blend of European and Thai decor, exuding an 'Old Money' vibe. While well-maintained, it has a sense of history rather than a modern, minimalist aesthetic.

GGuest UserThis stay at a five-star hotel in Bangkok was honestly such an unforgettable experience for us. We were visiting to celebrate our anniversary, and since we’re both pretty introverted, we didn’t mention anything special when making the reservation. When we checked in today, the staff kindly asked about the purpose of our trip, and my husband mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff truly went above and beyond to prepare such an amazing surprise for us. They upgraded us to a beautiful suite on the 47th floor with a huge living room and an incredible night view of Bangkok. When we came back from sightseeing later that day, we were completely overwhelmed by how thoughtful everything was. The room was filled with surprises and lovely details — delicious chocolates, champagne, roses, and even two swans folded from towels. We were deeply touched and honestly felt so emotional. It made our anniversary trip even more special and memorable.

GGuest UserMy stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel service was exceptional, and the staff were all very attentive. I was especially impressed that the front desk staff spoke Chinese, which made communication incredibly easy and convenient for Chinese-speaking guests. The room facilities were also very comprehensive; everything from daily necessities to small appliances was thoughtfully provided, making for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

MMARYSaaweetThe check-in experience was great as we were ushered to the lounge, sat down served tea and snacks while being checkin. The lounge cocktail hour was decent, with something for everyone. Room was lovely and appreciate their finer touch to setting up the room in the way I preferred. However the location is not good, is poorly connected to Silom due to the road design and long boring walk with nothing to see to get to Lumpini and if need grab, good luck because the jam is horrible. The room sound proof is poor as the window is not double glazed.

KKantabuliyazhangchangzongI was quite hesitant about this hotel after reading the reviews, but after staying there, I can say its location is excellent, right by the river. The biggest selling point is definitely the riverside access, especially the free shuttle boat. This shuttle can take you to S-pier, which connects to all the major blue and orange line attractions. Taking the metro isn't the most convenient option, but you can also get to S-pier and transfer there. From my window, I could see the Ferris wheel, and there's a night market right downstairs. However, the shuttle service ends at 9 PM, which is a big drawback, as it's about a 5-minute walk from there. Also, if you're close to the river at night, you might hear the rumble of boats in the middle of the night. While the hotel facilities are a bit old, they're not dirty. I loved the bed – it was incredibly soft and comfortable; I honestly didn't want to get up! The beds are huge. Even though they're single beds, two pushed together are bigger than beds in China, easily sleeping three people. I skipped the hotel breakfast as I'd already spent a lot of money these past few days. In the afternoon, there's hot coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch (though it's the only one). They also have iced water, chrysanthemum tea, and roselle tea, plus some biscuits. In the mornings, there are croissants and hot coffee that you can take with you. It's like a simple meal, and it's not bad at all. One of the front desk staff speaks Chinese, so communication wasn't an issue. The hotel requires a deposit, as it's a major international brand. The bottled water in the room is complimentary and NSF certified, so feel free to drink up. The razor provided was quite good, and the water pressure in the shower was strong. From 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, there's a singer performing in the lobby, which you can discreetly listen to. There's also legitimate massage available outside. If you get hungry at night, there's a 7-Eleven and some street food stalls about 50 to 100 meters away. I wouldn't say the food is amazing or terrible, but you can try the oyster omelet. As for the swimming pool, it's actually quite nice, being on the first floor and very spacious. If your main goal is to explore along the river, this hotel is perfect. However, if you're looking to frequent places like Nana, this location might not be ideal.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed... The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them. The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality. Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

RRinababeAbsolutely loved it! The bed was huge and super comfortable. The design and decor were really unique, creative, and even had a touch of humor. All the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and their responses were quick and thoughtful. If you're coming to Bangkok, you definitely have to stay here! šŸ’‹

DDianaShWe stayed at the hotel with the whole family: 2 adults and two children, and we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is very important to us, and here it was really good: there's an egg station, yogurts, fresh greens and vegetables, waffles, pancakes, lots of pastries and desserts. I missed a bit of variety in the tea selection, and the coffee quality could be improved, but in all other aspects, the breakfast was varied, fresh, and tasty. The soundproofing in the rooms I would rate 7/10; you can slightly hear what's happening in the hallway, but it doesn't disturb sleep. We also liked the spa, although the sauna in the women's changing room was turned off, and unfortunately, there was no one at the spa reception for 2 hours to ask to turn it on. The pool is cool, but since it was 33 degrees outside, it was pleasant to swim in. The hotel has a large, secure parking lot where we left our car for the entire stay. Transport accessibility is very good. They have installed new elevators, so there are no issues with them now. We happened to be there for Chinese New Year and saw a performance that took place in the lobby on the first floor. We really liked it and would be happy to return here again.

GGuest UserI stayed at Urbana Langsuan and had a good overall experience. The location is excellent—close to BTS Chit Lom, Lumphini Park, and many restaurants. The room was very spacious, and the rooftop pool has a great city view. However, the hotel feels a bit old and could use some renovation. Cleanliness was okay, but not at a luxury level. Overall, it’s great value for money and a good choice if you want space and a central location.
