1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian.
2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening.
3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging.
4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available)
5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well.
6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

AAnonymous UserI was quite satisfied with my stay this time. In terms of facilities, the charging ports in the room were conveniently located, and the bedside lamp had just the right brightness. The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding was clean and odorless, and the bathroom counters and floors were spotless. The service was very attentive; the front desk staff proactively informed us about the hotel's services, and the cleaning staff were very thorough during their rounds without disturbing our rest.

GGuest UserComing to Dalian during the off-season is truly a great choice! Even though it's a bit cold, the scenery is still absolutely beautiful, especially the views from the hotel window. This morning, a light snowfall added an even more picturesque touch. The room was spotlessly clean, and the overall vibe was fantastic. The hotel's style was something I hadn't experienced before, but I absolutely loved it. The service was so thoughtful; they offered honey water, and when the room felt a bit chilly, I could easily adjust the AC for heating. Today, at check-out, I even got a warm coffee, which was a lovely touch. The electric curtains and smart toilet, along with the blend of modern amenities and traditional design, really create a unique and wonderful atmosphere!

ZZhizulechangleleI've stayed here multiple times, and each stay has exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and tidy, with excellent natural light and ventilation. Even in winter, it was very warm inside. The unbeatable sea view from the window was expansive and incredibly therapeutic. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin. The common areas were clean and elegant, and the facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The staff were attentive and meticulous, and check-in/check-out was efficient and fast. This is my top choice for accommodation, and I'll definitely choose it again next time. Plus, you might even spot a deer while walking outdoors! 😄😄

GGuest UserThe room was well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding. Staff members Huang Zitao, JJ Lin, and Jackson Yee provided outstanding service. Huang Zitao was warm, friendly, and professional. JJ Lin and Jackson Yee gave a detailed explanation of the check-in process and even offered to connect on WeChat, assuring us they would respond immediately to any needs throughout our stay. This trip was to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a special cake and fruit, which was a wonderful touch. We were extremely satisfied.

GGuest UserHuazhu Club’s first choice is Ibis! I haven't stayed in many express hotels nearby, but the environment and service are better than those nearby! Especially the staff at the front desk are very patient and enthusiastic. When I was using the computer downstairs at night, I found that some drunk guests were very rude. The young staff member Xiaogui Ning was very patient in explaining and guiding me! This is not easy! If you live near here, I highly recommend it! The TV can also project the screen, and I watched the S14 finals here!

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Exit D of 西安路(Xianlu) Station, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Right in front of the hotel, there’s a nightclub and a street lined with food stalls mainly frequented by locals. It gets lively at night. I stayed in a room facing the street, but since it was on the 6th floor, the noise from outside wasn’t too bothersome.
However, the soundproofing between rooms isn’t great. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic. Note that in some rooms, the bathroom isn’t fully separated from the rest of the space.
Two 500ml bottles of water were provided and replenished daily. Towels were replaced during daily cleaning, but it seemed like the sheets weren’t changed though that might be different for longer stays.
There’s no fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk to store things in their staff refrigerator if needed.
Foreigners can stay here without any issues. During my 3-night stay, there was a different staff member at the front desk each day, but everyone was friendly and helpful. They actively assisted me when I had any issues, and I’m really grateful for that.
Even if you don’t speak Chinese, using a translation app works fine. For basic things like check-in and check-out, you won’t need Chinese at all.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights during our first visit to Dalian in May. The room was very clean and had some very useful amenities such as a refrigerator, clothes washer and a bidet toilet. It was very convenient to wash our clothes and save money.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Mr. Chen helped me find an excellent Thai massage spa (Tai Baba) nearby and helped us get taxis. We are especially grateful to the manager Mr. Leon. He left his busy post at the front desk and walked with me several blocks to get medicine for my wife who was briefly ill.
We opted for the Chinese breakfast all three days and it was very good. However, the western food selection was limited. That was not a problem for us because the Chinese food was delicious. We are from the USA.
Mr. Leon recommended an excellent Japanese restaurant (Konoha or Jiuye) with a huge menu selection in the same building. We ate there twice and there was a waitress who spoke fluent Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel. Also, the hotel is located near a shopping mall with a huge food court on the top floor. We recommend Chinese and foreigners to stay at the Shan Shui S Hotel when visiting Dalian. It made our trip to the beautiful, friendly city of Dalian memorable.

MM312458****This is an old five-star hotel with great value for money. My birthday experience was fantastic. I booked a king room, and the front desk upgraded me to a suite. They also arranged a high-floor room with views of Laodong Park. The service was excellent, and they guaranteed a late checkout until 3:00 PM.

MM…C…MAmazing hotel with a reasonable price. Room interior was very new and so beautiful. Toilet with bath tub and separate shower area and have all toiletries. Hotel staff were very good and helpful. At front desk no.8 front desk girl give us all support during our stay. Hotel was located at the city center with all shopping and attractions with in 10 minutes drive. We love to stay here again. It was so comfortable and pleasant stay
